I agree scammers should be hunted down and punished. Maybe it will happen. Unless they manage to cash out in privacy coins, everything will remain there forever in the blockchain for anyone to piece evidence together and follow the funds.

We, at GAINS, are fully transparent and we give back to our community. We actually have a friendly and fun contest in a few days during which anyone can win hundreds of dollars worth of tokens. Check it out, I'm sure you'll find it interesting Smiley

🚨 More giveaways coming. And this time, you won't believe it... You'll have an opportunity to win tokens of an IEO! 🚨

👊 This is the first quiz for an IEO in the history of crypto and we are very honored to pioneer it and get to claim this milestone! You know we bring you the best.

🔥🔥 Evedo Quiz on Saturday 4th of May 🔥🔥

ℹ️ Evedo is a blockchain based platform, consisting of B2B & B2C Marketplaces. It unifies all businesses and participants involved in organizing events. Their aim is to build a marketplace and a true ecosystem that will help the $850+ Billion event industry grow by connecting all parties without unnecessary middlemen.

🚀 When you think about how hard it is to organize an event with so many parties involved: ground planning for permits, booking agents, artist management, stage construction, stage lighting, electricity, beverage companies, emergency services and security services just to name a few... Then you begin to understand why Evedo can help smooth out this strenuous process 😉

💰 Research the project and compete to win 1 ETH worth of tokens per question!

✅ There will be between 5 and 8 questions. The best answers will be selected by the team.

🌐 Evedo's website (https://www.evedo.co/) 🌐

💬 Join their Telegram group (https://t.me/evedoco) to learn more about the project.

🕑 The quiz will start in GAINS Quizzes (https://t.me/GainsQuizzes) Saturday the 4th of May at 18h UTC+2.

😎 Do your research 📚 and see you there for a fun event! May the best win 🏆

🔹Another day, another opportunity to win hundreds of dollars worth of tokens with GAINS.

This is all real, no scam. We've been thriving with our amazing community for nearly a year and a half now. Come check it out.

I think the big enemy of Crypto is scammers. All trust will be lost if it has been hit by scammers. I think Scammers must be destroyed immediately, at least we should be able to know, if we already know, I suggest giving information on social media or here so friends know.

Well you should better to invest in crypto not in the ICO's, many scam projects these days so keep off if you feel not safe to invest, just invest in trusted crypto like the top 100 in coinmarketcap.

Along with the advancement of technology and the development of cryptocurrency itself, there will always be people who commit crimes or fraud that have recently often occurred in the crypto world.
In my opinion, this is indeed requires policies and regulations about cryptocurrency so that there is no fraud or illegal acts from the scammers.
And of course we ourselves must avoid our involvement from scam so as not to harm others.

Not until we start seeing crypto scammers get arrested for real many new investors won't join,I have friends that won't join crypto because of scammers running away with ICO funds forever ,no way to arrest them and get the funds out of them, the few news I read about getting some scammers is not enough ,the more there is an effective way the less scammers will harm crypto

You just have to stop investing in all the projects in a row and start looking for quality projects for a long and hard time, and then you can stop falling into fraudulent projects.
If you are unable to find a good project at all and you are constantly losing your money, then maybe you had better stop investing at all.

Salient points made but I will like to chip in that ICOs are not the only aspects of crypto... We have a thousand and one cryptocurrencies in the market and some have shown to have great potentials already.. Using ICOs as excuse not to join crypto is an ignorant decision which i believe many might regret making in the nearest future..

This case continues because it is very difficult to catch hackers, we hunters cannot do much because of the lack of information and strength here. I think as soon as possible there is a hacker exterminator body because it is very detrimental to everyone if there is no action they will never stop.

Arresting crypto scammers will not stop the activity of investors investing into scam projects and getting their money robbed from them. The only solution to this problem, is by educating all crypto investors on spending some quality amount of time to research on  any project they come across in the crypto ecosystem  before deciding to either invest or recommend to any body for them to invest in.  This will limit the amount of scam projects available in the crypto space....

One of my concerns is that can crypto be outrightly scam free? The reason for this is that, we might not see regulation any time soon. The government is also waiting for more adoptions first before regulating. The problem now is, investors might not want to adopt considering the rate of scam.
The risk in cryptocurrency is high as a result of this.

Scamers have been since and not in crypto only so the are everywhere and in organizations, the only way we can help ourselves is by being careful. Scamers are never ready to give up on this as far as they still make some money from it and there are no rules in crypto which makes everything worse,

I would say that knowledge will dispel any fears.
You can start by applying it to your own ideas about crypto.

Have you ever thought about doing some research on how many actual real scams there have been with ICOs?
Someone complaining on bitcointalk doesnt count.
But the rate of ICOs that actually do run away and steal peole's money.

Then, compare that to ICos that don't, and you will find tat the percentage of getting scammed is very low.
Saying, "Let's arrest these scammers!" is unrealistic and does nothing.

Regulations and law enforcement are different in each country.
In America, in order to "Arrest the scammers" you would have to vote for a legislator that has that on their platform.
Then you would put pressure on local district attorneys to enforce those laws.
None of that gets done by just saying we should do it on bitcointalk.

Scammers always want to try take advantages in many fields and in cryptocurrency market, we should make research first before investing. Scammers in crypto hard to trace because most wallet are anonymous. I think this is the reason why ICOs should be regulated by government

indeed there are many scammers who try to cheat new users or traders who are easily affected by the profits generated, therefore you should not be easily affected by what is on some internet media because there are so many scammers scattered.

ICO scammers are hard to catch, how to catch them, I am confused, and worse how to recover investor funds that have been brought by scammers, I think it is very difficult and scammers damage the image of cryptocurrency and this must be immediately removed immediately.

That is why many thinks centralization and regulation will bring much sanity into the system. Many people have lost thousands to millions of dollars for good with their bad deed been investing in a project or ICO.

And what about the investment market of securities is not who has not lost money. And investment in real estate. And other areas of investment. Yes, any business built on credit is an investment. So now this difficult dangerous game is complaining.
I think there are scammers all around and this thing could not be eliminated in the presence of internet. Scammers are actually the guys with lots of expertise so they can easily deceive a man having no knowledge about something he wants to invest in.

This is what happened with so many ICOs in which people put in their money due to the hype these scammers would create on internet and hence lost their money.

i believe scamming activities has reduced now in cryptocurrency because people are now wiser and things have changed so it will be difficult to perform any type of scamming. SEC will hunt them down.
You have zero idea about scam project, I guess because scammers around has been increased from previous and it will continue, they will always find new tricks however, the recent step by some of the forum member has helped to reduce the scammer in ICO, they always bamboozle the scammers with publishing there fake team or fake project

Its just like the real world, most scammers don't get caught.  This isn't a problem exclusive to crypto.  There is only so much the authorities can do and they have limited resources.  If you are concerned about thieves running free, think about all the murderers roaming the streets.

Aside from without regulations, basically everyone can create their own project and hold ICO anonymously. Because there are so many naive users that blindly trust these people, these scammers find it so easy and made this as their playing ground of stealing money. They can disappear into thin air very easily. And yes, this is the major reason why ICOs are dying. I wonder how IEOs will end up to?
