I have often said that not all ICOs are scams. Because until now I have found a lot of good ICO and the possibility of great success. So, if a lot of people say that ICO scams don't really matter. But it must be remembered that "Not all ICOs are SCAMs"
We need to spend more time looking for that good ICO, and we should not be close minded because many good projects are still coming. Not all are scam but you must take care on investing. If you do bounty then the risk
might be lower to you, but profit is still not guaranteed. ICO is not totally dead, it will bounce back and will challenge the IEO.
Opportunities always comes up for those who's open minded and loves to take the risk, there's still projects that will work for you and can bring good outcome, be selective with those new offers but carefully research everything first before make an investment.

We don't judge any ICO to be a scam, but we already have seen so many examples of the bad ICO that is run away with the investor's money. Besides that, we are not judging the new ICO will be a scam too because of they still a new project which is trying to gain more investor. I believe that if their project were a good project, they would protect their investors, the participants and even they will run their project with care. But people are tired to see many ICO has turn become scam in the middle of the phase or after the ICO is finished. That is why many people call ICO will be a scam in the end if they don't have a dedicated team.
that's why make us for not judge all of ico campaign are scam, of course as we can see many of ico project are ended to scam but if we see again even 3/7 still have succesfull ico campaign and untill now the project keep running in accordance with the roadmap

yes it is true what you say, so how can you find ICO that has good potential and what ICO criteria you choose if you invest in ICO. I want to find out how you value interesting ICO and learn from my previous mistakes.

I am agree. 2018 is not a good year for many ICOs investor because many scam beside that there is a lot project raise a lot money but the perform in market not too good and the token price drop below ICOs price.
I am agree that we should not quick judging on ICOs and i am believe there is a lot potential ICOs with great road map and good developers team.

I personally do not believe this statistics that 99% of ICOs are scam, because some ICOs fail do not mean they are all scam. I usually tell people that starting an ICO is like starting a new business, it might succeed immediately, it might fail presently but have a great future and it might fail totally beyond redemption. So because a project is failing to perform presently or fail totally do not mean it is a scam. Don't get me wrong here, I never said there are no scam projects but the rate is not as high as alleged. Judging a project based on its first few years is wrong, give it time to realize its potentials.

Right now there an option beside ICO. More people dont trust on ICOs and the alternative is join in IEOs. IEOs more trusted because all administered by exchangers from make research about the project or marketing. Its much better if we choose IEOs from big exchangers

Yes it has become essential to research any project you are going to invest in thoroughly as the market is also filled with scam projects. You can look at the project team, its technology and goals. Lately, the scammers are rising in number just because of lax laws. There is not any strict regulations and laws that punish them. I think strict regulations should be in place.

Agreed on this. A project may fail for a lot of reasons like raising less fund, team management, or the competitive market. But the number is too low on current scenerio. You can't deny that more than 90% are scam.

I am agree. There is a lot developers team who return investor funds when they can not reach soft cap or discontinue the project. I am believe in any investment field, scammers can not survive when regulation applied and i think ICO need regulation to reducing more scammers in the future

I really really agree with your statement because even the bitcoin its self is still something new in the world and there are many people who said something bad about the bitcoin without valid analysis fundamental of the projects, so do with the ICOs projects and today IEOs projects mostly people just give their opinions without any analysis fundamental of the ICOs projects. Based on my experience i have found great of ICOs and they are building the projects until now.

Well, that's true. I think the reason why most always say 99% are scam is owing to the fact majority of ICOs didn't treat investors right.
Nevertheless, there are ICOs which have proven to be different through showcasing what they were made of while achieving their set goals.
Moreover many projects started with ICOs which we have seen, but majority exit scam, thus the basis of the argument about 99% being scam.

When we say 99% of them are scam it's just a figure of speech to express with more vehemence how this became a dangerous niche to invest, what is a fact, otherwise you could tell what ico didn't fail. I think it's very hard to find one, and I'm not talking about a fast pump, but a good product that came from icos.
Investors are right in judging icos this way because they are tired of fraudulent projects that don't give any benefit at all.

We must be able to distinguish between a failed ICO project and an ICO project aimed at fraud or( scam ). Not all failed projects must be called a scam. It should be anticipated from the beginning by conducting research, especially the project team that is in it and also its vision and mission. I hope for the future, we will be more careful before joining the ICO project, so we will not become victims of further losses. Be vigilant for not missteps and choices. Thank you.

Not 99% but a lot of it yes. Actually, when first year of ICO, investors must already know if this business have big risk. But why they still join it? it is because ICO are really profitable if they know when they must take profit.

Yes you are right do not judge ICO quickly as long as you don't experience to invest on it and being scam. You must have some research and you will find out that ICO will become better when decentralization and legalization will came. So if we think this is a scam because ot will become better when legalization came not will die.

When I see posts like this what comes to my mind what exactly is a scam? As there any where we have a listed yardstick to dictate a scam from onset...well some how if a project is not transparent about owners meaning possibilities of disappearing is high. We need the ICO review sites to do more...people are also getting wiser on where to invest...if a project does not raise soft cap to begin its journey it doesn't make it scam.

If you come across an investor who have been scammed many times by hyped projects etc, then you will understand what and why they always say 99% of ICOs are scam.
There is no doubt there are few projects with good intentions which have been doing well so far, but at the same time there are many fraudulent projects just coming to take money, at the same time there are projects that failed because the team lacks relevant experience.

We can say it quickly if we done reviews in the particular project that offers ico so we can say that it is a scam or not because it is to easy to determine if its legit or scam, like this project this is legit and trusted the pimoncoin so we can invest in the ICO of this project.

The most surprising thing to me when it comes to accessing the potentiality and genuineness of ICOs, is that people are quick to access by their level of success, which sometimes is wrong.
There are quite a number of ICOs that reached hardcap, yet ended up being scam, because they did not deliver what they promised and most of them have now been deleted off exchanges.

to evaluate a good ico. we need to see how it grows like community, development trends and many big investors join in or not
