Thanks. We're much more focused on the long-term game here. Good development, happy customers, 100% provably fair content, very generous rewards with our faucet and rain. Development has been slow but we're having talks soon to speed things up and get them to final production sooner rather than later. It has been asked many times previously but mintdice cant give any ETA for the new release IIRC.
I do believe there is still no ETA that they can give to us at the moment, I'm not quite sure why but perhaps they want to give a surprise for their active players and for those who are waiting for it.
Tried to check their blog just in case there is a specific information about the progress of the new release, but unfortunately I found nothing except some crypto related news.

^I would say do not try to pressure the development team to make it faster, I also understand that when you do not force them a deadline, it would really be just few more years before it can be ready .

But I think there needs to be a balance, like have a deadline and if they pass the deadline do not really make a big deal out of it and make it sound like you are "angry" about it but do not push it like when you would actually be angry, and each week after that keep talking to them about it instead of forcing them, it would make them uncomfortable enough to finish it without forcing them to give a half-done work.

We should remember this is a casino and good solid code is vital, one mistake and some hacker could use it to empty the whole hot wallet, so developers needs to be careful.

I don't know if mintdice has inhouse developers or people they have always worked with, however it feels like making an upgrade on an existing website should not normally take over 1.5 years, it will be nearly 2 years if it publishes soon, and that is if they manage to do it.

I am afraid if mintdice do not have any type of in house developer and working with others on per hour payment method, I am afraid they might be taking advantage of the situation, if it is fixed amount it could still be a bit of a problem where developers take other jobs in between. So, I hope it is inhouse, because if it is not this 1.5+ years development doesn't sound good.

Yeah, this place has insane potential with all the information we have and it is not even funny, it is seriously incredible. Think about it, they said that they have seen some increase in numbers in recent months and that is with the current version, they haven't done signature campaign in a while and they still have a new version coming up.

With the new version, with the increased numbers, with the new signature campaign if they do, with the new games they put in, we are talking about maybe 5x of the number of users that they had only 6 months ago, maybe they are there already but I just wanted to be conservative with my prediction.

And now its been a month without new updates/news on the progress to the V.2 of mintdice.  theskillzdatklls last online was around 3 weeks ago, just checked the site and I can see one player only who is playing on the site with the play money. Does it mean that there are many players left the site lately? Afair there were some active players played with real money but now it looks so quite. Hope everything is still on its track as its been too long since they said about the plan of the V.2

It's been tough to give an ETA because deadlines are created then always pushed back. On this coming Wednesday all of the developers were in agreement to create a final deadline. I'll share that information when it comes.

So it's minimalist structure will probably remain this way for some time.

I agree that it has been too long. We've had talks to stop this from happening and are creating resolutions to push our product forward. Security has, and continues to be our #1 priority, along with bug testing, but if anything we've taken this a bit too seriously which has harmed release development and pushes. So we are hopefully going to be able to get the product released soon enough. As stated earlier, I'll give notes from the developers call.

yeah, hard to give ETA as people will expect you to deliver in that timeframe. better do your best from your end, and release it as soon as you are able to. had promoted mintdice before and never had any prob with their management.
i hope mintdice team will look into the possibility of promoting their site again in the forum. as there are newcomers that are more aggressive in their marketing, people are seemingly forgetting the old ones, unless they are getting competitive rewards and bonuses.

What do you mean odds of the game? They have the regular casino games here. Do you mean house edge? If you want to know more about mintdice, I suggest you to read starting from first page and I believe you will already gain insights more than what you want to know. I think it is about house edge, because odds are things you can change the way you want, for example when gambling on dice you can make your own odds if you want to, which shouldn't really be that hard. Hence I think it is more about house edge which should be the question. If we take a look at the house edge part on the FAQ of the website we see what they are for each game.

Dice has 1% house edge, Slots have 2% house edge, Plinko has 2% house edge, bitrocket has 1% house edge, pyramid has 3% house edge and that is the biggest one. I would say 1-2% is basically the norm in the crypto casino world, dice specially has 1% and very rarely we see it any bigger, and the highest edges I have seen in any crypto is about 5% in some places that gives back some things in return, like tickets and such for big lotteries, aside from that mintdice is definitely in good margin of the market.

It's been almost two years already from the start of this topic, is your team has a plan to launch a new feature this year that you are going to add in your platform or a promotion to welcome the 2021?

We had our dev call recently. The devs are confident in the platform being nearly ready. We'll be taking on beta testers on January 18th. If anyone is interested, either respond here or drop me a message. I can probably give some small BTC rewards to beta testers from decent enough aged BitcoinTalk accounts that are interested in participating.

If all goes to plan, the plan is to launch the 2.0 platform on February 1st. Those are "hard deadlines" all else equal. If there's issues that beta testers notice, then it will be delayed until that's ready, but it shouldn't be anything major, fingers crossed.

To answer your initial question lebregone, as far as additional features, the things on the horizon are as follows:
- 2.0 deployment (should be coming soon as outlined above).
- Sports Book
- Two skill games; Pyramid + Castle Royale
- One casino game, PowerMint.
- Rewards program
- ETH acceptance and other coins.

The actual deployment of those features won't be in the exact order as listed above. But they should start rolling out with reasonable frequency. 2.0, among many of it's features, has a more scalable platform which allows for a more rapid release of newer features. Ideally this leads to more rapid development and release of games/features that people on BitcoinTalk will be looking for. This should hopefully help spur additional growth on the website as our platform comes with engaging new and unique features not seen elsewhere.

Sana did a pretty good job at describing the situation. All of our games are 100% provably fair unlike most websites these days. Our house edge is quite low at 1-2% depending on the game type. The investment platform also exists to participate on the other end of the spectrum.
