It's going to be a total disaster if that happens, and their season may not be well celebrated even if they win EPL because of such an elimination, and being the current holders. Wow!  It's not going to happen, Liverpool will definitely secure at least a draw here.

I'm still that Liverpool will win the game though, although big kudos to Salzburg they've been very impressive tonight and they should be very proud of themselves even if they don't make it out of the group.

LFC is up by two now, and just need to control their possessions for another 20 minutes or so.  I worry about Haland, but LFC is a good position now.  I couldn't believe Salah missed all those "easy looking" shots (3 of them?) and then sneaks one in on that impossible angle.  When I saw him take that shot, I figured it had no chance.  I think he was as surprised as I was.

@Harko Yeah, hard to see Salzburg content with dropping to Europe League, they're like lions really and I like Haaland a lot, please don't let him end up at United! I know it's still 10 minutes + injury to play but can't see them scoring 3 goals in that time, not without leaving their back full of holes for Salah and co to exploit. Am I imagining it or is Keita getting a sort of harmony with Salah?

What about that goal though? He loves to score from tight angles, our Mo. But he should have had 2 or 3 really, if only he were just a tad sharper.

But yeah, 2-0 up and Salzburg look like they're dropping their heads a little, they've been running a lot more than Liverpool so can see they made the changes for fresh legs... I don't see us letting go of this one.

Too early to say, next up Barcelona to bring my 13/1 parlay home? I do like to tempt the fates, don't I?

A really well controlled game by Liverpool. Yes, Salzburg had good periods and dangerous attacks but that was expected.
Liverpool had a lot of chances to end the game early and eventually won comfortably.

I will put some money on Salzburg to win the Europa league, I really like their style.

Agreed, we are so much smarter this season. We are patient, never panic and always have multiple solutions to break teams down.
We were like that last season too, but we upped it another level this year. I have a feeling we'll end the season with 5 trophies

Attempting to win a back to back CL while also trying to keep at the top of the EPL will be another story to talk about> For =now lets watch how LFC will get through the upcoming busiest period for them.
The first team is excellent but am still not confident about their squad depth... Maybe they will prove me wrong.

I believed Liverpool would go far this season again in UCL they had been very consistent in both EPL and UCL parading a very attack minded strikers the trio of mane Salah and Ferminho who had been firing on all cylinders I am not surprised that they won their away match against a lowly rated Salzburg athough the home side put up their best but eventually lost to an experienced side.

Valencia is winning Ajax right now with 0-1 score and Chelsea wins Lille with 2-0 on half time.
If those scores remain, Ajax is out of the next stage and they are going to continue their European journey on the Europa League. However, I think they are going to score at least one goal in the second half.

I believed Liverpool would go far this season again in UCL they had been very consistent in both EPL and UCL

They look like they are ready to go all the way this season again, and they have an advantage as they are leading in the Epl with over nine points, this can give them the opportunity to maybe shift a little concentration from the Epl to the Champions League, since it's already almost 80% sure they will be Epl champions at the end of this season.

Interesting games in an interesting group

Really interesting group, inter have my support as they have had since matchday one. More twists and turns coming up maybe, let's watch and see.

it looks like it will be a dramatic match for Inter and Dortmund if one of the clubs qualifies for the last 16, and of course the current match is the most important match for the two clubs.

No luck today. Barcelona just sunk their ship and halted their 2019/2020 Champions League   campaign. At this point, I'm convinced Barcelona and Dortmund are going through to the knockout stage.
