I think a bet on Liverpool looks attractive as I think Villarreal will have to play more openly to try to bounce back so Liverpool will have more chances to score than even in the first game. Even if the game ends with a score of 2-3, but it will be a victory for Liverpool.

Liverpool at 1.72 is not that bad to be fair. I mean think of it like investment and you will see that your profit would be 72% and that's not too bad. If you were a trader then you would love that return, and that's risky as well. So, I assume that the best case here would be to see it like a big chance investment and a big return for it.

I look at it a little differently (negative outcomes must also be taken into account): will Liverpool win on average 2 games out of 3 (exactly such games if we could repeat this game indefinitely)? I think so. In this case, this bet is profitable (winning two games out of three gives 44 dollars of profit with the sum of all bets of 300 dollars).

Liverpool is certainly the better team for sure and they are trying to do the best they possibly could do so that they would get that UCL title, they really want that. Would be funny to see LFC denying City of UCL after Chelsea did that last year, it's like everyone is blocking City to win UCL win because they keep getting EPL .

I will be happy if Real Madrid stop City, but in any case, I will be happy if City once again fail to achieve their main goal

The Liverpool i know on the contrary will always play attacking football and will not relent in trying to increase their goal tally. Enough goals are a sort of morale booster you know. Villarreal should do their best to ensure that the game is not one sided, that is in favour of Liverpool. I think Villarreal is more prepared than Liverpool in this match. I agree with you. Liverpool will not play defensively. They will perform and attack as in the first leg. Even if Liverpool wins the first leg, they will try to win the second leg. Villarreal is not a strong team. If the Liverpool players play attacking, Villarreal will not be able to resist them.

He has nothing to prove; he has done a fantastic job over the last two years, winning the Europa League and reaching the Champions League semifinals, both of which are significant accomplishments for a team like Villarreal, which has the lowest squad value in the semifinals.

Villareal is ahead 1-0 now. This is still a far bit away from a qualification to the final, but it makes "both teams to score" (now 1.14) and "more than 2.5 goals" (now 1.23) way more probably than "Liverpool to win" (now 2.7)
Maybe we'll have an interesting fight for the final qualification in the end?

This just got interesting, Villarreal just got a goal back against Liverpool to cut the deficit from 2 goals down to a single goal and with the home advantage rallying behind them, these guys are certainly not going to let Liverpool to have it any easy thata for sure.

I would hate to see Reds leave after their hard work paid off in the first leg, come Liverpool finish what you started!
