And this is exactly why I was saying that declaring at 446 was an illogical decision from the Pakistan captain. Now in all probability Bangladesh will avoid follow on, and there is a good chance that they will get the first innings lead as well. All of a sudden, the much feared pace duo of Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah is looking quite ordinary. Spinners are doing a poor job as well.

Bangladesh team Shadman Islam is a very patient batsman as he entered the field as the first opener, and he gave a full performance in this first innings today. And collected 93 runs from 177 balls with a long patient batting performance. And the century is stuck for just a few runs, but he is now batting patiently to score a century.  
Mushfiqur Rahim took over the bat after Mominul Hoque got out and has been fine in the field so far. But if Shadman can create a partnership with Islam then there will definitely be a chance for the Bangladesh team to win. Because only 253 runs are needed then the Bangladesh team can win the first series.

Pakistan team not looking fully united in this bowling spell. They are not using their reviews in the good way, as we can see they lost their 2 reviews that they got in the bowling.

Till 56 overs, Pakistan was losing their reviews. By the way, when ever the Pakistan took review then there was not all players were saying to take it or were fully align on it as a team. Only the player who are on the leg side appeal for it and Shan Masood always take review.

In the first innings of the first Test match against Bangladesh, Pakistan did not start well but they finished brilliantly. Pakistan's batting initially looked like they might be all out between 250 and 300 runs but the way the Pakistani batsmen batted responsibly later on was undoubtedly admirable. Pakistan declared the innings by scoring 448 runs while Md Rizwan was unbeaten on 170 runs. Bangladesh went into bat late on the second day but the good news for Bangladesh is that they haven't lost any wickets so far. If the opening pair can score 150+ runs then the middle order batsmen will be able to provide a good run support which will help Bangladesh get close to the runs Pakistan scored in the first innings.

But the good news for them is that two of their most experienced batsmen are at the crease - Mushfiqur Rahim and Litton Das. Mehidy Hasan Miraz is to come next, and he can bat a bit as well. Khurram Shahzad has been good so far from the Pakistani side, but Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah have been disappointing.

The biggest regret I have is that Shadman Islam failed to score a century, even though he failed to score a century, I thank him because he gave the best batting performance for the Bangladesh team. Scoring 93 is the most challenging as no other player has performed so patiently.  But I thought Shakib Al Hasan was the best but he failed in a short span of time. And get out and walk off the field but the Bangladesh team is at the most risk, because all the batsmen they have now are basically not attacking batsmen. I think it will never be possible to win with Pakistan team with this performance.

Both Shadman Islam and Mominul Haque have fallen. I think in Rawalpindi, the batting conditions are very much favored. Shadman got out after scoring 93 and Mominul Haque got out after scoring 50 runs. Currently, Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan are on the crease. Most probably another draw is awaiting.

I don’t think the choice of declaring was a bad idea. Pakistan relied on the bad Bangladeshi batting form. They thought that they could get them out early and hoped for a chance to follow on. But as I have said, the condition is heavily favoring the batters. Previously, I thought only Mushfiqur Rahim would be the only one from Bangladesh team to get a decent score. But they have turned that around and proved me wrong which I am happy about. It is sad to see Shadman Islam miss his century though. Mehidy Miraz and Liton Das are yet to bat, but I don’t think Bangladesh will be able to get a lead in the first innings. Either way, I think this game would be a draw.

Jamie Smith rescues England once more. They were reduced to 187/5, but now they have crawled to 358. Smith stood rock solid at one end, and he got good amount of support from the lower order batsmen (Chris Woakes, Gus Atkinson, Matthew Potts and Mark Wood). At this point Poms are leading by 122 runs, and if they can get the Lankans out for 200 or so in the second innings then it will be a just another easy test win for them. Sadman Islam narrowly missed out on another century in his Test career. Bangladesh are batting their first innings today on the third day of the first Test match between Bangladesh and Pakistan. Right now Bangladesh are in a good position as they have already collected 316 runs for 5 wickets. Bangladesh team has five wickets in hand to overcome 132 more runs. When the Bangladesh team was in a disaster, Sadman Islam and Mominul Haque formed a strong pair by handling that situation. 94 runs came from the pair of them which was a relief for Bangladesh.

Except for Shakib and Zakir Hasan, every batsman has scored a half century so it is easy to understand that the wicket is a complete batting aid.

And Lankans are still trailing by 65 runs. Trust me, avoiding an innings defeat is going to be difficult for them. Dhananjaya de Silva and Milan Rathnayake are not going to rescue them everytime. 56 overs remain in today's play and there is a good chance that England bowlers will wrap up the match by end of the day today.

On the third day, Bangladesh team batsmen have batted well due to which they are playing well to meet the target given by Pakistan even though they have lost 5 wickets at the moment. If they meet the Pakistan team's target on the fourth day, this match will definitely be a draw, and the current style of the Bangladeshi batsmen looks like they will be able to meet the target. Yes currently Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim are batting they both have half centuries they will form a great partnership to score centuries.
