Sri Lanka are batting in the first innings in the first Test match of Sri Lanka vs England, and they are batting very badly and in desperation. Early on their opening batsmen got out due to which they are under a lot of pressure at the moment, 3 wickets lost by the Sri Lankan team at the moment. If the match does not produce a good score in today's Test, then the Sri Lankan team will definitely face a lot of danger and there is a possibility of losing the match. 3 for 6 is really a pity for Sri Lanka today, as the batting they have done is not Test match batting at all. I think this Sri Lankan team will be all out very soon today as their opening is out, they will definitely not be able to come up with a very good result later on.

Yeah, Sri Lanka’s batting is in a very dire situation right now. They have already lost 5 wickets and have scored 88 runs. Honestly, other than India, no other country from the subcontinent is a good test-playing nation. Pakistan and Sri Lanka used to be good at it but they have lost their touch. Pakistan is somewhat okay and Sri Lanka is nowhere near their old self.

They cannot handle the pace attacks of teams like England and Australia. They are just too used to playing spinners.

But currently, Sri Lanka has seemed to somewhat recover from their early fall of 3 wickets. They have scored 88 runs of 5 wickets and their highest scorer, Dhananjaya De Silva is still on the crease so there is hope left for Sri Lanka, but if you ask me England is going to destroy Sri Lanka in this match and in the series overall.

Sri Lanka are 132/7, with Chris Woakes and Gus Atkinson so far sharing 5 wickets between them. Chris Woakes is an absolute beast in home conditions, more like Umesh Yadav and the only difference would be that Woakes got a few extra cylinders, short burst yeah but got some lethal pace but at the same time, completely useless when playing away. I am more impressed with Bashir, his trajectory looking good so far and good sign for England.

The last time when an international team toured Pakistan. PCB came up with a brilliant idea of nullifying the opponent's pace attack by producing a big highway and today they opted for 4 pace attack with a part time spinner. I won't say I am surprised but that's some drastic change.

Sri Lanka has made a decent recovery till now. Dhananjaya de Silva just got out after making a significant contribution of 74, but Milan Rathnayake is still batting there with 32 along with Vishwa Fernando. Shoaib Bashir got the crucial breakthrough when he got de Silva out. Now the England pacers should be able to clean up the tail without much effort. The track at Old Trafford is offering a lot of support for the pacers, and therefore a total of around 200 should be decent enough.

Their batting performances were disappointing then but later they managed to improve their game which is why they have survived till now. The Sri Lankan team lost eight wickets on the first day and the runs they have collected at the moment is a good score. Bangladesh needs to spend some investment into their cricket for the development because they are having talent, but it's needed to be polished for having good performance in all conditions recently we are having few good fast bowlers which are making things good for their team today we have good bowling from opening pair which destroy Pakistani top order quickly.

Abdullah Shafique was the first loss for the Pakistan team as he was out after making just two scores. I think Abdullah could also put that ball (in which he was out) to four. As he hit for the cover drive, everything was perfect bat, stance but the timing to move the bat was slow and when the ball get the bounce then it swing to the good extent and the batsmen placement got wrong.
Hasan was hurting to the Pakistan batsmen badly. By the way, on the last ball of the over in which Abdullah has out, Shan Masood was almost out too but somehow survived.

Saim Ayub played so well today as he balanced the pressure and has not lost wicket until he reached 56 runs. He stabled the game after the wicket of Babar Azam and also the time when the team has too muhc pressure, he help the team on that time when Abdullah Shafique was out. By the way before the match Shan Masood said as the captain “We want to give Saim Ayub the fair chance.” Today in this day we have seen such an amazing effort by the Saim Ayub. A good decision was taken by the Shan Masood as captain but I think in the next match Abrar Ahmed also have to play and show similiar performance.

England team is promising in Test cricket so to do well against them is not expected with this poor performance of Sri Lanka team. Early fall of 5 wickets of the top order it was easy to guess at the start that their total would not be much and that was the case in the end. But if a few players like Dhananjaya de Silva and Milan Rathnayake were able to score the same, the match could have changed. They have no chance to compete with this small collection. Your prediction was correct and going by the current performance we can easily be sure that Sri Lanka will lose the 1st Test by a big margin. Now it remains to be seen how much the Sri Lankan bowlers will be able to do for the team.

Bangladesh has started their bowling pretty well. The current score is 107/3. They got the huge wickets of Babar Azam, Shaan Masood, and Abdullah Shafique, each of them has a good average, and the fact that Bangladesh got them out early is pretty good. But Saim Ayub is looking pretty solid and might be dangerous for Bangladesh. Either way, their Bowling side is performing. But what I am worried most about is their batting side. Their batting side has been very very inconsistent. None of them are performing up to their expectations.

Why Shan Masood is the captain when he has no ability to take responsibility when the game comes under pressure for the Pakistan team but remember when he was coming to the ground then he came with full confidence and attitude but after playing the first delivery, he was starting to shiver.

When he was out then started to argue with the Umpire but remember he was out by the DRS method. Pakistani team is favorite for thar series because Bangladeshi are facing the crises and country political conditions are not good. Pitches are in general supportive of the batsmen and top order as well as half of the middle order is now back in pavilion. Babar Azam got out for a duck. The inexperienced Hasan Mahmud surprised me, as he took two crucial wickets. He gave good support for Shoriful Islam at the other end. The real test for Bangladesh may come tomorrow, when their batsmen need to face the raw pace of Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Quality difference is widening between few teams in test format with Sri Lanka is also having serious decline just because of these things are getting the worst day by day in test format for them first session completely belong to England which destroy Sri Lankan badly now they are trying to have something positive in these conditions but nothing going to be happened positive with most chances we will have another big win for the England because their batting line is good.

Really is it pindi stadium I don't believe it because mostly pindi track were known graveyard of bowlers where they don't really get any turn or support from pitch but now PCB change entire condition and now we have huge greenery on track and that's why Bangladesh took decision to bowl because they know pitch will heavily support them and things will be easy for them.  But as a result Pakistani batting lineup were in huge trouble, to be honest I was really shocked when they lose his Three important wicket at a very early stage but thank to saim who really showed his skills and played brilliantly alongside with his partner saud and thus through their significant partnership Pakistan were now looking in decent stage, hope now saud and Rizwan partnership will pushed the total target above 300.
