In this test match between Sri Lanka and England, Sri Lanka has gave  236 runs target, the run target of Sri Lanka is not special, only two best men of Sri Lanka have been able to bat well.  One of them is de Silva  and the other is rathnayake , de Silva scored 74 runs and rathnayake  also scored 72 runs.  The pressure on the Sri Lankan batsman was only felt when they loss two wickets in the beginning.  Most of Sri Lanka's batsmen have been seen getting out for less runs, some have scored four runs and some have scored two runs.   Now England team is batting and  they has made 160 runs with the loss of four wickets . Now H brook batting great and he has made 45 runs and he is about to complete his half century and Smith batting with him.  It is obvious that England will win this first innings but it is to be seen how many runs they are going to give to Sri Lanka in the first innings.

England still trailing by 60 runs, but now they look to be in much better position compared to the stage when Joe Root got out (125/4). Jamie Smith and Harry Brook have built a nice partnership between them, and now it looks as if England may get the first innings lead. Asitha Fernando has so far picked up 3 wickets, but the other bowlers are yet to make any impact. Sri Lanka need to break the partnership first if they want to stay alive in this match. 47 overs remain for today and in case England bats through, then they will be in a strong position.

Nahid Rana should not be bowled today as he has scored the most runs, now Shakib Al Hasan, Mehdi Hasan Miraj, and Shariful Islam will have to manage the match. Because their bowling performance is currently very good but the only bad performance is Nahid Rana who bowled 15 overs and gave 80 runs which is a risk for Bangladesh team.

Shakib Al Hasan and Nahid Rana are the two players who had the most poor performance from Bangladesh’s bowling lineup till now (In the first innings). They both did the no-balls and gave the most runs in the whole team. He has not picked any wickets. I think in the next match, the captain of Bangladesh must have to change their bowling lineup and allow some good bowlers to come into the team, as they have the best player in bowling Taskin Ahmed, and in the normal bowling attack, they could use for Taijul Islam and Khaled Ahmed. The bowlers were unable to break the 100+ runs partnership.

Sri Lankan team have improved and stabilized a lot this year and we are going to see competitive tournament in Sri Lankan tour of England. Sri Lankan 1st innings was not impressive, Except for Dhananjaya De Silva and Milan Rathnayake, non performed with bat but looking at England's play we can say the pitch is tough to bat. At the late stage of 2nd day, England are 4 down at 187. Their start too was not impressive but this wicket is holding on. Sri Lanka would be hoping to all out them around their own score while England would hope to hold this wicket and come back tomorrow to get a score as high as 400 before declaring.

Litton Das was in great form a few months ago, but then his form declined. The same has happened for many of the other younger players.

Pakistan team declared the innings after collecting 448 runs. Pakistan team has done a good batting. Especially Saud Shakeel and Rizwan batted very responsibly. Pakistan quickly lost three wickets. But due to the responsible batting of Ayub, Shakeel and Rizwan, the team managed to collect a huge score of 448 runs. The performance of Bangladesh team bowlers was very bad.

At the end of the first day, Bangladesh collected 27 runs without losing any wicket. Zakir scored 11 runs and Shadman scored 12 runs. Both of these are young players of Bangladesh. Let's see if Bangladeshi youngsters can perform well in this series.

Also, Shakib Al Hasan was angry with the fielder's performance as the fielders dropped Muhamad Rizwan easy catches more than 2 times (that has been bowled by Shakib Al Hasan). Shakib Al Hasan is not playing good and even if he bowls good than it is not helping the team as they are dropping catches.

By the way, I just remembered there was another catch dropped by the fielders in Shakib Al Hasan bowling of Shaheen Shah Afridi, that is also more than 2 times and it was more easy catches than the Rizwan catches. Bad luck for Shakib Al Hasan, he is getting angry due to the team’s fielders too.

The match has slipped out of Bangladesh's hands. Pakistan setup a huge total of 448/6d. And remember that this was after getting reduced to 16/3. They were in big trouble after Babar Azam got out. But then Saim Ayub and Saud Shakeel stabilized the innings. Ayub got out to leave them at 114/4, and this was when Mohammad Rizwan joined Shakeel. Both of them took Pakistan to 354, and dropped catches from Bangladesh fielders helped them in doing that. If there are no more rain interruptions, then Pakistan will win this match hands down.

Shan Masood has taken a long time to declare the innings, I was thinking when the Pakistan team would touch to the 400 then he would declare the innings but on the 448 score, Shan Masood has decided to declare the innings.

It is better to gather as many runs as they are coming and make the test match secure for them.

Yes you are right buddy and this is not a easy task to set such a strong scores on their first inning and now total two days were successfully played and as well first inning of Pakistan A was also completely played. Earlier wickets of Pakistan A squad did not display strong performance and their batters quickly lost their wickets at low scores and their was the good sign of Bangladesh A squad but these batters Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel build a very strong batting partnership as well long lasting. Mohammad Rizwan † managed 171 scores and other Saud Shakeel  batters collected total 141 scores and their Inning times was completed with 448 scores. Babar Azam was showcased very bad performance and did not support their sqaud to secure victory and lost wicket at 0 score. Now Bangladesh A squad batter entered on crease for playing their inning and I don't feel that Bangladesh A squad will achieve this massive scores and also have great potential.

I think it's fair to say that Jamie Smith will cannibalize Johnny Redhead Bairstow's test career and IMO would be the first choice WK batter for the next important series.

The sample size is small and against a weak bowling lineup but still, you have to perform to touch 65 odd average in the red ball and it's not like Bairstow was performing consistently so maybe Jamie Smith won't be a bad choice. I dare to say, maybe even against India and Australia.

Too early to predict anything like this. Jamie Smith has showed a lot of promise. But then, this is just his 4th test match and he can't even be compared to Jonny Bairstow who has 100 test caps to his name. But age is on his side. Bairstow is almost 35, while Jamie is just 24. Anyway, England is leading by 23 runs, with the loss of 6 wickets. Surprised by the Lankans. They are fighting to the tooth and nail. Now tailenders are at the other end, and if Sri Lanka can get them out quickly, then they will stay in this match.

The first two overs overview from the Shaheen and Naseem. I am highlighting these two overs because these two were amazing. At the first Shaheen was putting pressure by giving the swings that were unplayable at times.
But on the last two balls, he made the mistake and with an edge, the ball went though the four. However, later Shan Masood decided to give over to Naseem, the first ball of that over was amazing and the batsman just lost his wicket if Rizwan had picked the catch. The ball touched the bat but Rizwan missed the catch. The next balls of that over were full swinging balls by Naseem Shah, no run was there in Naseem’s over. Tomorrow a lot is expected from these bowlers.

Absolutely amazing batting by Muhammad Rizwan played 171 runs inning Muhammad Rizwan stood on the pitch until the Pakistan team declared Excellent batting by Pakistan team they declared on 448 runs with loss of 6 wickets in first innings Saud Shakeel scored 141 runs 6th wicket partnership of 240 runs played between Saud Shakeel and Muhammad Rizwan. This is the outstanding partnership which brought the Pakistan team close to 448 runs Pakistan team had lost four wickets on just 114 runs then Muhammad rizwan and saud shakeel played long innings which put pressure back on Bangladesh team their bowlers failed to take wickets of both batsmans Bangladesh team is chasing the score on 27 for none loss and Day 2 stumps off

Today's match was quite good between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Pakistan ended their innings and set a target of 448 in 116 overs with the loss of 6 wickets. This target is not small, and the Bangladesh team can't chase it easily. If they try hard, then they can win, but it seems too difficult because of the Pakistan pace bowlers, who will try their best to restrict them from reaching the target and look for wickets as much as possible. The difficult task for the Bangladesh team is to withstand the pressure for a long time and make some runs, at least from every player.


Now, coming to the Sri Lanka and England match, the Sri Lanka team again showed their worst performance in the Test format and did not play well. The match was quite easy for the England team. The Sri Lanka team does not have good players, or it may not be wrong to say that their coaches are not very good because the team is weak in all formats, and this reflects poor training from the coaches.

Not sure whether the strategy from Pakistan was logical. Now they need to bowl out Bangladesh for 248 or less to force them to follow on. Declaration at 448/6 was tricky. I would have liked them to add another 50-100 runs before the declaration, to make sure that Bangladesh follows on. And Bangladesh batsmen survived during the last session, to finish at 27/0. Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam faced the barrage from Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah, but made sure that they lost no wickets.

It was remarkable that Pakistan batted better than the team in the second day of the Test match, Pakistan batted interestingly today. Two batsmen of Pakistan team took the team to a very high level today, but Bangladesh is not very good today. Saud Shakeel 141 runs and Mohammad Rizwan 134 both scored a big score today. Mohammad Rizwan is still unbeaten, but he will try to take the team to a better level, at the moment Pakistan team has 367 runs and 5 wickets, Pakistan team has the potential to make a bigger score.

What a remarkable comeback from Pakistan team especially when they lose 3 of thier important wicket at very early stage but later they way saim and Shakeel Handel situation in such pressure situation was phenomenal and now the significant partnership of more than 200 runs between saud and Rizwan really put Pakistan on front seat because before many of us believe that it Gona be harsh day for Pakistan but that vital partnership really put Pakistan on track to divert results in thier favor and now after scoring more than 400 Pakistan were looking in stable position and now I believe Pakistani bowling will easily manage that situation as they have enough runs to defend.
Anyway Pakistan should stay a bit so Rizwan could complete his double century but may be it increase chances of drawn so that why captain took that difficult decision

England vs Sri Lanka, 1st Test already started. Sri Lanka won the toss and they opted to Bat, they made 236-10 runs in 1st inngins where they had lost 3 wickets at 6-3 runs but they tried to move on and keep giving their effort to go ahead. Milan Priyanath(72) and Dhananjaya de Silva(74) showered legendary performance finally and help their team to develop their score, to set a decent Target for opponent. Although 236 run isn't a good target when it comes to test match but i must say, they did their best when rest of players out with lower runs. Shoaib Bashir and Chris Woakes got 3 wickets each. Besides england already started batting and till now they made  259-6 runs in 1st inngins.Ollie Pope(6) can't able to score something big, a decent score done by Joe Root(42), but Harry Brook(56) did half century, so for Jamie Smith(*72), even he is still on the Field. Hope england will score good amount of runs maybe 320runs+ in this 1st inngins.
