I thought the Bangladesh team would be defeated by a bigger margin. However, due to the responsible batting of miraz, Bangladesh managed to reduce the risk of defeat. If the experienced batsmen of Bangladesh's top order had been able to bat well, maybe the result of the match would have been different.

The erratic performance of the batsmen of the Bangladesh team is the main weakness of Bangladesh and this is the reason why the team is lagging behind. The overall performance of the Bangladeshi bowlers has been much better than before. Only Bangladeshi batsmen have not seen any improvement in their performance in the last few years. As before, the performance of Bangladeshi batsmen is still erratic.

The third innings was much better than the first innings of Bangladesh, especially if Bangladesh could have played an innings like the second innings instead of being all out for 178 runs in the first innings, the result of the match could have been different.
In Bangladesh's second innings, except for Hasan Mahmud and Khaled Ahmed, everyone scored double-digit runs, but at first, the top-order batsmen of Bangladesh did not perform well, which led to Bangladesh's first innings score of 178 runs all out.
Again in the second innings, Bangladesh were all out for 318 runs, which seems to have been an extraordinary innings of Bangladesh even in the two Tests.

If 70 to 100 runs were needed for Bangladesh to win, we as Bangladeshi fans expected Bangladesh to win this match but Bangladesh needs to score 200 plus runs to win this match. While scoring 200 runs for 10 wickets is very difficult for Bangladesh, surely three batsmen cannot score 200 runs at the end and we are already predicting Bangladesh to win this match against Sri Lanka by a big margin.

Late yesterday Taijul Islam and Mehdi Hasan batted very well towards the end and connected the ball well with the bat but they have to start fresh today. In that case, it is only natural that the ball will not connect well with the bat early on and Bangladesh will lose wickets early on the fifth day compared to late yesterday. I am having believe these both teams are on same level of quality but after this series now I am changing my view about Bangladesh because they are having no chance of improvement in test format with things are going from bad to worse for them with their performance and quality in this series we have just once Bangladesh cross the 200+ runs and in three early innings they were badly down and out of the game.

Their fielding is also badly down with too many catches to drop is surely having not favourable situation for the bowlers and team even they have done good resistance in second inning of this second test, but Sri Lanka were already in well control, and they have not allowed them to have anything good from this two test matches series we have amazing stuff from the few Sri Lankan youngsters those are having good future in the game and for the Sri Lankan cricket.

Yes you are right Sri Lanka played very well in Test matches. They won both matches easily.  In second Test match Sri Lanka did exceptionally well by scoring more than 530 runs in their first innings which I think a good score. By the way Sri Lanka deserved to win and Bangladesh will have to work on their weaknesses to do better next time. Let's appreciate the rivalry between teams but also respect each other. Celebrating a series win is normal, but it shouldn't disrespect the opponent. After winning second test and series things were pretty normal for the Sri Lankan team which is good gesture from them even we need rivalry between them because this will create good cricket for the fans and things could be more competitive but for this all we also need improvement in quality of Bangladesh test team because currently they are one of the worst teams in this format which having no depth and technique which is important for the success.

Now having teams in all three formats are not easy for any board just because of this now we need some changes in this all which will increase quality for few teams and things could be more competitive because test format is going tough day by day and few teams are badly down to achieve something better hopefully in near future we will have some better from the ICC which also needs support from all boards as well.

This is the risk when you depend too much on tailored pitches to win matches. The issue here was that Sri Lanka had better spinners, and their pacers are quite experienced in bowling under unsupportive conditions. And Bangladesh batsmen hardly showed any patience, even though the pitch was a bit difficult to bat on. Apart from that long standing issues remain. Bangladesh's weakness in longer format results from the lack of a proper 4-day structure back home. And BCB is not taking any action at this time.

Overall, Sri Lanka's batting and bowling have performed flawlessly throughout the Test series against Bangladesh. The Sri Lankans beat Bangladesh by 2-0 down in the Test series that is whitewashed Bangladesh and took the series as their own. Sri Lanka has moved up to number 4 in the Test Championship rankings thanks to a huge margin of victory in two Test matches against Bangladesh. Perhaps Sri Lanka have reaped the rewards of their hard work which has seen them improve their Test Championship ranking position as they are now breathing down New Zealand's neck. This series is quite irrelevant. Lankans can rejoice over the 2-0 series win, but then it came against one of the weakest teams in tier-1 test cricket. As of now, test cricket is divided into two tiers. 9 countries in the first tier, and 3 countries in the second tier. This is very much asymmetrical. I want the first tier reduced to 6 countries - Australia, England, India, Pakistan, South Africa and New Zealand. Remaining 6 countries can form the tier-2 and the top-6 associate sides can make up tier-3 in test cricket (including Nepal, Scotland, Namibia.etc).
