Pakistan has to go through what SL did after WC 2011, they need to overhaul their complete system but they need to find the talents and groom them instead of just keep playing the oldies and switching to another oldies when they lose a series, it didn't help in the long run.

When we are talking about the lagacy of seamers then Pak stands in the second spot after the deadly windies of 80s.

They have enough raw talent but their problem is that they don't have intellectual capacity in cricket management ( except stacking money) or intention to groom one and it's not a new phenomenon for pak cricket.

Pak attack was good but i believe it'd be a blasphemy to compare em with windies. People don't even compare Aussie peak attack with vintage windies attack.

Windies tops with no doubt, I am talking about the second spot, we can compare their legacy in pace attack on the same level of Aussies ut in terms of dealy scare factor Paki leads a little over the better longevity of legacy of Aussies. Imran - Waqar - Wasim Akram played at the same time but they had different peaks in their careers; still they are better or atleast in my opinion.

Pakistan lost by 90 runs which I think no one was expecting. West Indies were able to make 311 with Shai Hope 92 runs and Kadeem Hodge 84 runs providing the most of the runs in first innings, while 5/27 showing from Justin Greaves at the Pakistan end of the stumps did the rest. In chase of 211, Pakistan simply could not handle it, Babar Azam made a brave 58 runs off the stumps, but had to lose 15 runs off 5 wickets, with only three batters reaching double figures. Jayden Seales finished the rest of the way with 5/20. So, Pakistan bowling did its job but batting failed them. West Indies take a 1-0 lead in the series.
You are wrong in that aspect, that was an unexpected win but I expected same kind of performance by Pak team because they have no mindset to chase the target and 211 target was very big for Pakistan because I saw Pak in same kind of situation and always Pak lose the match and I was taking with my brother about the target in this match and I said that if west Indies made 200 plus score then they will win because Pak will not be able to chase 200 target and I was right and Pak lose by high margin. West Indies bowlers gave their all effort for the team, and Babar Azam's confidence was very low in this match. He should try to give confidence to other players to stay on the wicket, and Imam ul Haq's shot selection was very wrong in this match and Pak could have won this match with little effort.

Ajinkya Rahane has officially retired from all forms of cricket. Never did like him as a batsman or captain, but dude is one of the finest gentlemen that I have ever seen in any sport. I don't think I have ever seen him take out his frustrations on other team members.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cricinfo.com/story/ajinkya-rahane-announces-retirement-from-international-cricket-1548072%3fplatform=amp

Am guessing KKR were planning on removing him as captain or from the team entirely which prompted this decision. Another Indian player from the OG era is out.

Yeah, this 80s attack was lethal but mostly it was home dominance and particularly against India. Other than that, in terms of domination not much to show for, if we are talking about test cricket. They had incredible W/L ratio in test in this period tho.

OTOH, windies were freak and bullied everyone. Australia showed this domination in different era but still below windies.

Imran Khan was a top class all rounder of Pak and he was not any pacer , he was a proper bowler, proper batter and good captain of all time and in his captaincy Pak won the 1992 World cup .

Waqar Akram had excellent pace and he was introduced by Imran Khan who had judging skills which was no common in any leader and Wasim Akram was a street bowler and Imran Khan gave him chance to become a star .

Wasim Akram had line and length best and everyone aware of Pak legends and Pak produced top quality bowlers. Aussies have their own legends, we know the Brett lee who  was known for his pace but I Know Shoaib Akhtar who had its era and he injured many players and he produces terror in the whole world by his personality.

The whole infrastructure is so corrupted that they will eventually become the worst cricket-playing team in the world. The current losing streak shows why these guys cannot come up. They send the same guys, and they lose to small teams.
It might be corruption or nepotism and the lack of scouting young talents is evident.

~snip~
They fucked up all the legacy and it's not restricted to seam but every department. Same draught is going on in batting department and spin bowling. Le dekar they produced one fine batter babar azam but he also got his life sucked off by team politics and captaincy musical chairs. Few had potential but same story.

Now all they left with is nostalgia.
While I was growing up, Saeed Anwar was always feared along with Inzamam-ul-Haq. Before that, Javed Miandad, Hanif Mohammad, and Zaheer Abbas were the greatest batsmen Pakistan had ever produced, and in later years, they had Mohammad Yousuf and Younis Khan. Those are the best batsmen they had, according to me.

~
When we are talking about the lagacy of seamers then Pak stands in the second spot after the deadly windies of 80s.
West Indies had some of the best bowlers during that era. Think about Colin Croft, Michael Holding, Joel Garner, and Andy Roberts; later, Malcolm Marshall joined them. They targeted your body and head, and there is a history behind why they started doing that. Simply because Australia had terrorized them with Dennis Lillee and Jeff Thomson, Clive Lloyd scouted the entire chain of Caribbean islands and built this pace attack for revenge. Later, they included Courtney Walsh, Patrick Patterson, and Curtly Ambrose.

~
Pak attack was good but i believe it'd be a blasphemy to compare em with windies. People don't even compare Aussie peak attack with vintage windies attack.
Like I mentioned above, the West Indies fast bowlers were far ahead, and Clive Lloyd built the team around those players to extract revenge from their previous tour of Australia, where they had faced Dennis Lillee and Jeff Thomson. The stakes were really high, and it was an actual war-like scenario.

Many Test match rules were changed because the play became so brutal. These included over-rate penalties, on-side fielding restrictions, and bouncer limits. This happened because Australia started getting a taste of their own medicine; their batsmen were left with injuries and broken ribs, after having previously terrorized the West Indies with Dennis Lillee and Jeff Thomson. Cheesy

~
Yeah, this 80s attack was lethal but mostly it was home dominance and particularly against India. Other than that, in terms of domination not much to show for, if we are talking about test cricket. They had incredible W/L ratio in test in this period tho.

OTOH, windies were freak and bullied everyone. Australia showed this domination in different era but still below windies.
When it comes to pure fast bowling, it is always the West Indies. Australia, with Glenn McGrath, Damien Fleming, Michael Kasprowicz, Craig McDermott, and Shane Warne, had a really great bowling combination. Later with the inclusion of Brett Lee, this attack completely dominated everyone.

~
Imran Khan was a top class all rounder of Pak and he was not any pacer , he was a proper bowler, proper batter and good captain of all time and in his captaincy Pak won the 1992 World cup .
No doubt about the leadership skills of Imran Khan and the best they had.

There is a small correction here. Imran Khan did not give Wasim Akram the chance but mentored him after getting into the team. It was Javed Miandad, who was the Pakistan captain, who gave Wasim Akram the opportunity when he faced him in the nets. Wasim was just a school kid, and Miandad went to the selectors and fast-tracked his career directly from having no first-class cricket experience to playing international cricket.

PS: Wasim Akram himself said this in a podcast called 'Stick to Cricket,' featuring Alastair Cook, Michael Vaughan, David 'Bumble' Lloyd, and Phil Tufnell. It is a good podcast for cricket fans to feel the nostalgia.

Pakistan was supposed to be stronger team. But lost first test match against west indies which was definitely unexpected. They had enough experience but made too many mistakes which caused they get defeated. Their batting performance collapsed due to under pressure in the 2nd innings, while West Indies stayed clam and control the match disciplinly. Justin Greaves and Jayden Seales gave best effort in the match. Credit goes to the West Indies players for believing in themselves . Pakistan now need to improve their shot selection, partnerships & overall game awareness. Another Test starts tomorrow, so it will be interesting to see whether they can level the series

In the last few years, Pakistan has never been supposed to be stronger and more consistent because they are facing many problems on and off the field. These are bringing them down and out of real cricket. Some time back, a few players, through their natural talent, had good performance, but now it's also ended due to nepotism and political involvement.
Babar Azam is going to have another worst period as captain because after losing the first test, their morale is down, and they are also lacking good batsmen in the second test starting tomorrow. They could be under pressure after this, having 3 matches against England, which is also broken, but still have good depth to beat Pakistan on home soil.
Currently, most of the players are having spots due to personal links or parchi; this gives them some time in the national team, and they have a chance of jumping into leagues or English leagues, which usually hire them for less money, but overall Pakistani cricket is on the decline.

The second test match between Pakistan and West Indies held tommorow which is start at 7Pm in the evening Pakistan face a worst defeat in last test match . In the first test match pakistani bowlers play well but the batsman of pakistani team play not well although very well experience and senior betsman was playing in it but they will not stay in front of West Indies bowlers . The bowlers of West Indies all out the batsmen of Pakistan in the fourth day and win the match before a day . That's why West Indies winning the match with (1-0)  if pakistan wins the tommorow match with (1-1) then the series will be equal . If the pakistan lose this match then the West Indies win the match with (2-0).

Let's see will Pakistan come with an plan in the next game, as we have seen in the first match the batting effort was really disappointed, every player played very badly especially Babar Azam, no doubt he scored servel runs but those carries no value when you are not playing for the team, he was playing for his own records instead of helping or supporting the tea at that time.

Yeah, early batters were bad in the second innings, but when Babar Azam came, since he is one of the most senior players of the Pakistan cricket team, it was his responsibility to play in a balanced way, but he was not playing in a disciplined manner with tail-enders. Of course the tail enders duty is not to stabble the game or bat, they are just to stand but Babar often take the single in the very first ball of the over and then tail enders had to play the entire over and in the last ball, he force tail enders to take single back which reuslts that another time tail  enders came back on strike and have to play another over that's the major reason behind the ending collapse of Pakistan.
