Anyways, NZ vs Ind tour is coming next week, its one month tour ( 5 T-20, 3 ODI and 2 Test)

It is going to be an interesting tour and hopefully the fast bowlers will perform well especially Bumrah and Shami.

This doesn't mean he is a consistent player, it just proves that he is in a fantastic form right now. A consistent player is one we can always look up to when the team needs him the most throughout his career. Maybe if we give him more time, who knows, we might find him to be a consistent player for India.

Apart from Kohli and Rohit tell me 2 other players in the Indian team we can say that, take Australia other than Steve Smith and Labuschagne who else is consistent, in England other than Ben Stokes who is the other player who is consistent, what about South Africa tell me one player who is consistent and that is the case with the rest of the teams. Form translates to consistency and you cannot differentiate that.

You can't find a team full of consistent players. One or two consistent players are more than enough for the team to excel. If a team is filled with consistent players, then that team will be undefeatable. Take Sachin for example, he was a consistent player during his career. Let's not talk about his consistency dropped down a lot at the later stages of his career. The same goes with Dravid and Ganguly, they were consistent. But you can't say that to Shewag, he is a bit or miss type player. But that doesn't keep him away from the team and he was one of players who single handedly won several matches for India. Likewise, only time can tell if KL Rahul will mould out to be consistent player or not. You can't judge him to be consistent player with his recent show.

SriLanka got a bowler like Shoiab Akhtar has bowled 161.3kph but Matheesha Pathirana is more speeder than Shoiab Akhtar may be in future SriLanka will get permanent place for him.

As JSRAW pointed out there must be a bug in the calculation as it is humanly impossible to ball at that speed and if you look at the worlds fastest bowlers they were not even able to bowl over 160 KPH constantly but their top speed should reach those once in a while when they are fit and it is simply because you cannot bowl at those speeds and expect you to be fit and playing for a long time .

This may be a bug, but according to some media sources the 17-year old Matheesha Pathirana bowled the fastest recorded ball ever bowled in international cricket - across all levels.

^^ Judging from the video, i would say max 140 kmph, even if i am wrong. But its definitely not 170+ kmph or even 145+ KMPH.  Bowling at 150+ kmph is no joke in any means so can't digest whatever news are media reporting in this case.

Another slinging bowling action from Sri Lanka and he is bowling yorkers at will and it is difficult to see the ball coming from an unusual position but the speed gun might not the correctly calibrated and so is the reason it was showing over 108 MPH. The ball was carrying and it took some time to reach the keeper, watch Shoaib Akhtar and Bret Lee bouncers and see the difference when they bowl at 155 KMH and how fast it reaches the keeper. Either way he is the future talent for Sri Lanka and hopefully he will take care of his fitness and play for the national team soon.

At the most he may have clocked 150 kmph, as we can't expect a 17-year old to bowl any faster than this. I think 150 kmph was the fastest ever bowled by U-19 bowlers, such as Kamlesh Nagarkoti. But still, I regard Matheesha Pathirana as a future prospect for Sri Lanka, at a time when they are struggling to find a successor to Lasith Malinga.

The biggest challenge would be to stay out of injury. Because Malinga had a lot of issues with injury due to his bowling action and he had to cut down on his pace and run up. I hope that Pathirana stays free from injury, even if it requires that he needs to change his bowling action. BTW, it looks as if the speed gun got the reading wrong. I checked a few media sources, and all of them are saying the same.

In reply to this score India won the match by 10 wickets and completed it in just 4.5 overs. Japan is a new team and long way to go before they can compete to the likes of such top teams.

Japan qualified for this tournament under very abnormal circumstances. Their last match during the ICC Under-19 East Asia-Pacific Regional Qualifier, was forfeited by the top ranking Papua New Guinea. PNG could not field a playing XI, as 11 out of the 14 squad members were suspended for shoplifting. Japan qualified to the U-19 World Cup as a result of this forfeiture. Anyway, this is good news for Japan. During the last decade or so, they were witnessing a steep slump in their rankings (as of now they are in #59 the ICC T20 rankings).

Expected this though 150 is still a great speed. His bowling action seems weirder than Malinga's bowling action and observed that he gave a lot of runs and did not take many wickets at all. He needs to improve his lengths.

I thought Sharma might also take some rest after his injury, but he recovered quickly and scored a magnificent century. Lets see how Samson and Shaw perform.

Not many international game coming after NZ tour so its better for him to take rest and recover asap as IPL knocking the door.
Samson and Shaw already playing for India A in Newzealand. Shaw performed quite well in one match, Sanju is below average so far but Selectors wants to give some more chance to him or who knows if he sits out all the T-20 match.

There is no doubt that Kamlesh Nagarkoti is the future as he impressed everyone during the U19 World Cup but he is injured most of the time and he missed almost 2 years due to injury and having multiple fractures in his back and i heard he is back after a long gap and started to bowl in the nets and hopefully he can bowl with the same ferocity as before and stay fit and if that happens he will be in the Indian team pretty soon.

But still, I regard Matheesha Pathirana as a future prospect for Sri Lanka, at a time when they are struggling to find a successor to Lasith Malinga.

Good to see new talents but he needs to improve his line and length, i saw a clip where he was accurate with his yorker but in his last game he was spraying the ball.

Currently in U19 world cup Pakistan is playing against West Indies. The Match is very interesting and evenly positioned.  Any team can win that match but WI has lost a lot more wickets, so i think Pakistan may win in the end.
