Look like India will lose today. They middle order collapse badly today. Shreyas Iyer is looking good at 45 and if he can take India home with the tail enders then we can blame Newzealand again for losing the match which could have been easily Won. Anyways its unlikely to happen and India may face unexpected defeat today.
As long as Ravindra Jadeja is there, Indians will be hopeful of a recovery. Because he has rescued them in many similar situations before. Also, Tim Southee has completed his 10 overs and the New Zealand captain has called in Hamish Bennett (who conceded 26 runs from his 3 overs earlier). But Kyle Jamieson still has 4 overs remaining with him. And Indian batsmen really struggled against Jamieson. TG Southee bowled well and took 2 wickets for 41 runs in 10 overs. Luckly for india, his quota of bowling is over. Bennett has 7 overs left but he is expensive today and bowled at above 7 runs per over. India can still win this one, they only have to bat well and do not lose wickets. the Required run rate at the moment is 6.68 which is also not out of control.

Do they want to lose this match too. The bowlers of NZ are playing so well but Indian batsmen aren't able to face Southee. I don't feel Shreyas would manage all on his own as 149 runs are left and only Jadeja is present to support him. Disappointed with Virat and Rahul today.

This feels like I am watching the World Cup semi-final though the score is far higher and the chances of India winning are pretty low at the moment. Looks like experimenting with the inexperienced players was the wrong call here. As long as Ravindra Jadeja is there, Indians will be hopeful of a recovery. Because he has rescued them in many similar situations before. Jadeja is barely clinging on currently and I highly doubt India will win this one unless NZ bowlers mess it up at this point. NZ luck has not exactly been swinging their way these days which is why India still has hope(Slight). Edit: Iyer departed and it looks like India's hopes went down the drain.

The New Zealand captain called in James Neesham to bowl. Now I would say that this is a master stroke from Tom Latham, because Neesham can be very economical during the middle overs. The strategy is to bowl as tight as they can and force the Indian batsmen (Shreyas Iyer and Ravindra Jadeja) to a mishit. And this strategy has worked now, with Shreyas Iyer nicking a ball from Hamish Bennett to the keeper.

This game is slowly going out of India's hand. Iyer was my last hope and now he is out. I do not think Jadeja will be able to take control of this situation. Only tailenders left.
NZ will win the series if they win this match.

Shreyas is out so hope is also gone. Bennet, Southee both managed to take the big wickets and with this NZ will win the series too with maybe a washout as don't have hopes for the next ODI too. Feeling lost with the big players also failing, we are neither good in batting nor bowling now. Feeling bad that Jadeja is taking all the trouble to make runs and struggling with a bowler on the field. If here I have lost hope, it's so good to see that the batsmen out there knowing they will lose still never lose hope

If they win the match, and thereby the series, then it will be a big upset. Especially after the 0-5 whitewash during the T20 series. But Jadeja is still there, and the required rate is still under 7 runs per over. The Indians would still be fancying their chances. Just to add here, the Indian tailenders are capable of batting a bit (especially Shardul Thakur and and Yuzvendra Chahal).

It look like NZ want to take the revenge of white wash of T20s with the ODI white wash. I fear this may come true.

Indian bowlers are not as good as England or even Australian bowlers to bat under pressure and get half the score with a RRR of 6+. Also, now Thakur is gone, bowled. India are just losing the match but want them to lose it with dignity and not 100+ runs which is the case here. It's embarrassing that such a good team on paper are unable to perform for 50 overs. They played T20 so well just a week ago. Missing Rohit:

If this how India plans to play the ODI's then this series will be a whitewash. Good come back and brilliantly played by Newzealand. Today's match shows not only they are good in batting but they have very good bowlers.

Jadeja and Saini! Hats Off to these two. What a match. Had tons of fun watching these 2 bat all the way till the end though Saini over-estimated himself by going for such risky shots again and again which put more pressure on Jadeja.
NZ were pretty bad on the field missing tons of run-out opportunities though the fake-out to get Chahal out was impressive. Looks like my prediction about India recovering went down the drain, but I still think they will win the final ODI. Very entertaining match overall.

Kiwis are back in the business of winning the matches now. India middle order is responsible for today's loss else they would have won it and the way Iyer, Jadeja, Thakur, Saini played and made runs it showed that if you stay on the pitch runs were not that hard to come by. With this NZ won the series and would now try for a whitewash and take revenge of T20 series.

^ Don't judge too early bruh. India might comeback hard in the third ODI. As far as this match is concerned, Indian middle order messed up big time. No doubt there. But it was really a thrilling match to watch at the end. When Saini was raining boundaries of Grandhomme, there was slight hope that India could win the match. But I think Jadeja should have stepped up and should have played the big shots instead waiting at the non-striker's end. But credits to NZ they won this match and the series. The newbie, Jamieson well deservingly got the MOM.

I just read from cricinfo that the match between NZ and Pakistan for the 3rd place in U19 cup is abandoned. But they have not mentioned any reason for this. Does anyone knows why that match was abandoned ? I was hoping to see Pakistan finishes 3rd in this world cup Match abandoned without a ball bowled

Last ODI if these two guys are not able to perform then I doubt they will get another chance in the near future.

Because of the weather conditions the match was abandoned. I was hoping to see Pakistan finishes 3rd in this world cup Even without the match, Pakistan finish third on the basis of more wins in the group matches, so you can feel happy about it.

Today's match shows not only they are good in batting but they have very good bowlers. This is pay back time for India, New Zealand is playing like ODI world champions even though they got completely dominated in the T20 and they should worry about the upcoming world cup with performance like these but it is great to see that New Zealand dominated India completely in the ODI series and it would be great if they white wash India as a revenge for their loss in T20.

Looks like its rainy season in South Africa, yesterday's games, ENG Vs SA and U19 match WI Vs AUS were also abandoned because of rain. Let's hope that tomorrow's Under 19 Worldcup finals don't get cancelled.

Definitely India is more stronger team along with inform batsmen but India decided to try this series with newbie players to get some expereince but it doesn't go well as expected.Kohli need to control aggression and need to hold his wicket for other players to play well. Saini and Jadeja played really well,am glad that I had chance to watch that match on television. Both team has weaker middle order batsmen which should be resolved sooner for better results in the future.

Rain's can came without any invitation or season in last few years we are facing some good rains because of this cricket so its not matter of worry now lets see what happen tomorrow because if this rain came again then surely India will lift the cup without any problem as they are unbeatable team and title holder so Bangladesh fans will be frustrated.
