It would have been better if Pakistan batted and bowled instead of batting because they are already in a lot of trouble. Pakistan have already lost 3 wickets which put them under a lot of pressure especially with Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan not at the crease, Pakistan team is under more pressure. Pakistan are not scoring too many runs today, Afghanistan bowlers are bowling very well and Pakistan are under good pressure. Although there are wickets in hand here, if Pakistan can improve their batting, runs will be possible. The two batsmen at the crease at the moment Agha Salman and Imam-ul-Haq will not be under too much pressure if their partnership holds up. Right now Pakistan have lost 3 wickets and scored 54 runs in 13 overs, Pakistan should have scored more runs but not due to poor batting performance.

They lost their 4th wicket. 16 overs have been completed, and already their top order is back in pavilion (Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Agha Salman). Opener Imam-ul-Haq is still at the crease along with Iftikhar Ahmed. Mujeeb Ur Rahman has taken 2 wickets, while Rashid Khan took the wicket of Agha Salman with his third ball. Pakistan is struggling against Afghan spinners. And they have a really long tail, with Usama Mir batting at no.8.

@Sithara007 this seems like a good wake up call for Pakistan because the Asia Cup and the World Cup is coming and they can’t afford to display such performances in those tournaments. Also I wonder if the Pakistani selectors will take drastic steps and drop some player’s over such poor performance or will they continue to back these player’s in the hope that they’ll improve what do you think?

In this case we must appreciate the Afghanistan bowlers for keeping a strong team like Pakistan under pressure. Afghanistan's spinner bowlers in particular were able to put a lot of pressure on Pakistan's batting line-up today. Pakistan lost six wickets out of which 5 wickets were taken by spinners, Mujibur Rahman 2, Mohammad Nabi 2 and Rashid Khan 1. The remaining one wicket was collected by fast bowler Fazal Haque Farooqui. However, Pakistan's match today will be full of competition, if Pakistan's batsmen can give a target of 250 runs, then it will not be possible to say for sure which team will win today's match.

So, This is the introduction of this series. Afghanistan will be looking to restrict Pakistan team under 200 and they can do it because their bowling is so strong while Pakistan will be looking to score 250+. Pakistan bowling is very strong and even if batsmen failed to give good target, it will ne not easy for Afghanistan to score easily.

Yeh unfortunately due to early quick dismissal of Pakistan top order batters , they are restricted to scored around 250 but still it's a good target because from current situation it's clear that pitch is bowling friendly and it will be really difficult for Afghanistan too because Pakistan has bloody monsters bowler which will easily control the situation.

But today Pakistan bowled brilliantly due to which Afghanistan lost miserably which was really sad for Afghanistan. However, they must improve their batting and bowling in the next matches, otherwise they will perform worse in the upcoming Asia Cup tournament. Pakistan batsman Haris Rauf's brilliant bowling in today's match may have helped Pakistan get such a big win against Afghanistan which was really commendable.

Apart from Afghanistan's Gurbaz 18 and Azmatullah 16 runs, no other player crossed the double-digit mark. Afghanistan's five batsmen scored 0 runs and four batsmen scored 2,4,4,7 runs respectively. However, against Pakistan's target of 202 runs, Afghanistan was bowled out for just 59 runs, which is inconsistent in ODI cricket.

Pakistan's pace attack was truly impressive. I thoroughly enjoyed their bowling performance today. They maintained good lines and didn't give any room for the batters to make their shots. Haris Rauf was outstanding, and unplayable tonight. His impressive 5-wicket haul played a crucial role to bundle Afghanistan out just only for 59 runs. His has improved so much, and Pak definitely need this kind of form from him in the upcoming Asia Cup and World Cup.

I was expecting a batting disaster of Afghanistan. But I didn't imagine that they will get all out within 59 runs only. Pakistan has won the match by 142 runs despite giving a target of 202 runs.
