Travis freaking Head has been named the player of the month by ICC for Nov 2023 and he truly deserves the honor for his epic performances throughout the recently concluded ODI World Cup.

I would day still it's unfair that Maxwell haven't been awarded that honor because what we saw on that day may never gonna happen in the history of cricket, and he did it even with cramps all over his body and he couldn't do anything than just swing the bat only with hand action not the body along with it.

Anyway, Head also joined an elite record club too by making it to player of the match on semi-final and final of world cup matches.

This score is small against Bangladesh team but not less for the Japanese team. In this match I like that Japan batted till 47 overs which is a big achievement for them. This score is small in ODI cricket but he will be quite ahead in the fight to survive with wickets on the pitch. As they are new they need time to build a cricket position.

I agree with you. It is good news that countries like Japan are playing cricket. Also in the squads of teams like USA and UAE I have seen most of the players are foreigners. They don't have many nativ players. But the Japan U19 team I have seen most of the players are nativ from Japan. They need time to improve in cricket. Bangladesh has been associated with cricket for a long time. And cricket is very popular in their country. Cricket is still not popular in Japan. I think many people in Japan are still not aware of cricket. This team needs a long time to do well. In future maybe Japan team will play against teams like Nepal, Bhutan and Malaysia. If Japan hosts a series against these teams, the matches are likely to be competitive.

I don't think this is unfair because Travis Head deserve this award as he was really impressive in his last two and crucial games of the world cup and both times he has done good job which help his team for winning this world cup again after 8 years and sixth time which is now record in ODI history.

There is no doubt about impressive performance from Glenn Maxwell and Mohammad Shami but as we are already had this for the Travis Head we have to appreciate his performance and work for his team in this big event where things were not ideal for the many other world-class players, and they were badly down and out of the game which hurt their teams as well and few were good in early matches but sadly fail to give their best in last important games as well.

I disagree. Maxwell did play an historical innings for sure which was my favorite performance from the entire ODI World Cup, but they would still go through to the semifinals even if they lost that match to be frank.

Head actually saved his team when they were reeling at 40+ runs for 3 wickets in the final which is why he was the right choice.

Today's match is going to be the toughest one, although India lost their match against Pakistan previously.
