The Sri Lankan team has decided to bowl after winning the first toss of the second one-day match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan Boller took one wicket in the beginning and put a lot of pressure on the Bangladesh batsmen. To be fair to Shoriful, it wasn't his mistake. He didn't see the Wellalage and was only watching the ball. Both parties were innocent and not guilty but the young Lankan had to spit it out anyway because he could've been run out and probably injured.  

And it's 1-1 now, no relevance to this series because of the T-20 WC but at least it's alive and the setup is building up nicely for the next 3 matches. I hope it is not a win the toss and win the match scenario for the rest of the series because of dew.

Although the performance of the batsmen was not very good, the Bangladesh team managed to set a target of 287 runs.

I was very annoyed by Taijul's bowling in today's match. If he bowls like this, he will not be able to stay with the Bangladesh squad for long. Taijul is basically a bowler, he can't even bat well. Taijul gave 43 runs today after bowling 5 overs. Fans certainly expect better performances from experienced bowlers like Taijul.

However, the series is now tied at 1-1. The last match will be held on March 18. The third ODI match will also be held in Chittagong. Same pitch. If Bangladesh wants to win, the batsmen must bat better. There is no alternative.

But the Bangladesh team could not do a very good bowling performance in the beginning due to which the two batsmen of the Sri Lanka team formed a great partnership and scored a good score. However, it was interesting to see the Sri Lankan team lose their seven wickets and win by three wickets at the moment.

Bangladesh team batted better today than the way they batted in the first match but the Bangladesh bowlers did not bowl well in today's match. Bangladesh batting is on improved but still they needed some more aggressive approach because on this pitch they were short of the 30 to 35 runs which make difference, and they lost this match in reply Sri Lankan were also not good because their batsmen also lost their wickets but a big fourth wicket partnership was enough for them to have win in this game and bring themselves to the level after losing their first game by big margin.

Pathum Nissanka century inning was enough to bring his team in winning position but still their all top batsmen fail to give their best which is surely problem for them because their batting is not able to perform consistently they need some improvement which is important for the win against top teams.

We have seen some improvement in the overall performance of Bangladeshi batsmen. But as usual opener Liton's performance was poor today. But Soumyo, Shanto and Hridoy batted very well today. But today, although the top order played well, the performance of experienced middle order batsmen Mahmudullah, Mushfiq and Miraz was poor. Even then the Bangladesh team managed to deliver a big target.

Bangladesh would have been able to win today's match if the Bangladeshi bowlers had performed their duties properly. But the performance of Bangladeshi bowlers was poor. Honestly I missed Sakib in today's match. If Sakib was with the squad, maybe Bangladesh would not have lost this match.
