Definitely that was it. Ginebra should be using RJ more because he’s consistent with his shooting -  those 3-point shots were a big reason they were able to come back. Though we can’t deny he’s a liability on defense, they just need to find a way to cover that weakness. If he’s not on the floor, Ginebra’s offense struggles too, so they really have to balance it out.

He’s a lifesaver in a lot of Ginebra games because he doesn’t panic and he can create his own offense. That’s why you can see Tim Cone really trusts him even if he’s not a great defender. Without him, I honestly think Ginebra would’ve lost that game already.

PBA is on a long break now, so hopefully when they resume, Ginebra can fix this weakness because they’re really low in the standings.

They’re at 8th right now, and if they stay there it’s a disadvantage as they’ll need to win twice just to beat the team above them in the bracket during the elimination.

Inconsistent, this is a problem RJ has on his game. He is not consistent and some times he do more turnovers and ruin his play.
We saw him winning games and making the shots, but there are times that he is the main problem why the opponent getting points of turnover and getting back on game or getting away to win.

But, Ginkings need another back up guard so they can do the DUO of RJ and Scottie most of the game.

Gin kings managed to cover that handicap! Congrats again Kabayan! 9 point deficits for Gin kings for winning the game enough to cover the handicap for those who place their bet when it's still @-8.5 for sure it's a heart-breaking just a single point for Phoenix and that pick will be mess up, good thing that Ginebra manage to keep that distance.

For sure those fans who take their tickets and spend time to watch the game really enjoyed how Gin kings play the system and entertain all their supporters!

Thanks, kabayan! That was one heck of a game. I actually stopped watching when the score was tied at 91 with three minutes left in the fourth quarter—I figured even if Ginebra won, they wouldn’t cover the spread. But lucky for those who bet on Ginebra, Phoenix got sloppy and didn’t score a single basket in that final stretch. It just goes to show that no matter how knowledgeable you are in sports betting, if luck isn’t on your side, you can still lose. Fortunately for us last night, luck was on our side—and we cashed in .
 

Indeed kabayan! Even how knowledgeable you are if luck turns against you no way that you can win your bet, but it's a different situation luck permits you to win and all those gamblers who entrusted their money for gin kings luckily they managed to make it happen and then again another good cashout that all those happy bettors to collect from the bookies hehehe.

Enough time to rest for those who are not participating though it's also a good time for coaches and players to design new effective system while waiting for the resume. For sure coaches will use this opportunity to keep improving their system, more practice and more collaborations from management to the players.

Regarding to upcoming international competition, yeah you are right it's needed to upgrade and put new system design international competitors always read system and how teams execute better to have good adjustments and improvements to be more competitive and not a predictable one.

In my opinion, the time allocated for practice is still quite limited. It might be enough to get past a team like Guam, but I’m not so sure if it’ll be enough to beat Chinese Taipei this time around.
That said, it’s worth noting that Juan Gomez de Liaño and Quinten Millora-Brown have been added to the Gilas pool, and I think they’re solid additions. Juan is a true point guard with moves reminiscent of Jayson Castro, while QMB brings much-needed size to the lineup—especially with Kai Sotto still sidelined due to injury.

As always. even they give players 2 months to practice and build chemistry are still not enough.
we are underdogs of the in Asia and World. If we want a little chance to enter again the world stage we need to prepare more, longer and more intense.
We did it before by luck or in a hard way, we can do it again.

Our Super pinoy Brownlee will not play for the Gilas this coming SEA GAMES in Bangkok Thailand. Ange will not play too though...

Ange Kouame will be allowed to play 3x3 as the event is open to naturalized players.

Justin Brownlee won’t play for Gilas in the coming Bangkok SEA Games as Thai organizers recently announced a ban on the enlistment of naturalized players for 5x5 basketball.

This is horrible, The Sea games should have a fixed rules ! Though, It is a call for the host country!

I agree, there's should be a fixed implemented rules! So each time new host will handle the event new rules will be expected? Might be possible because of last year's outcome they are still not over it, since most of those countries who loss against PH are thinking that we are using more naturalized players so maybe not allowing would give them better chance to beat the National team.

On the lineup, I saw the name Quentin Millora-Brown,, not really familiar with this guy, so I think I’m gonna research a bit to see how good he actually is.

IMO, we still lack size inside, but what I like is that Edu is playing. Out of the 3 bigs, he’s the most effective for me, even though he’s not the most talented. JMF just doesn’t have a big impact on the international stage, but I’m still glad he made the final roster.

Thanks for that information bro, it’s good to know there’s a backup big who can replace the old guys on the court whenever they need to rest.

I think that has been the case ever since coach Chot was handling Gilas, most of the players came from his TNT roster. So now it’s Tim Cone’s turn to get his own guys. And honestly, even though RJ isn’t the most athletic, I believe his IQ is way better than Liano’s, who hasn’t even been tested yet in international games representing the country.

Coach Tim need to have a good rotation and use young players, we need them to have a grasp of playing, international games more often, the only problem with coach Tim is he plays only to those he played with in the PBA meaning other players will be bench, and only play them in the last minutes, he should abandon that thinking, they are there for a reason, for example, KQ, I think he only played him when there are lots of question from fans, but its too late, you select them for a reason, and you should add them to your strategy not only to give rest for your players in the pba, they are also there to compete.

It was a blowout win by Gilas, congrats to those who took the Gilas spread. For me, I went with the over/under but on the Philippines team total. I had them at over 87.5, tough luck since they stopped at 87. Better luck next time. I guess I’ll just try to get that loss back in the NBA tomorrow. Back to the usual as the NBA resumes.
