With Jimmy Alapag on board, NLEX has improved much and yup they are playing with confidence right now but say that they will win the championship, i think it is very early yet as they have not meet all the teams yet but for sure they will go deep once the quarterfinals begin.

Speaking of NLEX, they have a game today against their sister team TNT. The line open at 4.5 but it is now down to 2.5 with NLEX the slight favorite for this game which is understandable because TNT will be playing tonight without most of their core players like Pogoy, Oftana, Rosser and Castro. Twice i have lost betting against TNT but tonight i fell like i'm gonna win betting against them.

What you write doesn't make too much sense. If TNT is confirmed missing a lot of players, why is the line going down for them? The money line odds for NLEX has been 1.45 like 1-2 hours ago, now suddenly it's as high as 1.72 . For a team that is 5:0 so far, playing against a team that is missing several guys and is only 3:2, this doesn't make too much sense, right? I feel there is something cooking with this one so I would rather stay away from it tbh. Classic strange PBA line movement that misses any reasoning for it.

Just go with what you think is the better side. We already know how unpredictable the PBA can be, the rigging talk will probably never disappear anyway.

But if we use the line movement as a basis, and NLEX is now the favorite, then I think your bet still looks okay. I’m usually careful betting against a team that is on a winning streak, because sometimes you end up betting against their momentum.

Pregame is NLEX is only around -2.5, so the bookies are still expecting a close game.

I also feel this could turn into a high-scoring game, and that kind of pace probably favors NLEX more. So hopefully the favorite and the over both hit.

Looks like that’s the direction of the game so far, but it’s still only the first half so anything can change. We know TNT is a defensive team. If they manage to slow the pace in the second half, this could still turn into a lower-scoring game. If I were betting, I’d wait for the first half to finish first. Then if the total line is still high, I’d probably take the under.

NLEX is playing well though, and for me their import looks better too.

And you were right, TNT really came back. The lead is now down to only 4 points and we are already in the fourth quarter, this is usually where TNT plays better. Lets see if they can complete the comeback and give NLEX their first loss. I thought this game would not be entertaining anymore after NLEX built that big lead, but TNT did not give up.

Now its a close game again, NLEX needs to stay calm or they might waste everything they did in the first half.

Almost, good thing NLEX held on in the last quarter and did not disappoint their fans. The game is over now and NLEX survived, won the game and also covered the spread.

Thanks bro, that was a thriller indeed. My bet was just decided until that last possession, luckily for me though that TNT failed to convert on that last two crucial possession. I thought that would be another game wherein it will be decided by a 3-point or 4-point shot by either Nambatac or Kim Aurin. NLEX remain undefeated in their group and looks like it will remain that way until the quarters as they have already defeated all the teams in their bracket, not a good idea betting against them.


For tonight's game, my bet is for Phoenix against the skidding Blacwater. The Fuel Masters is at the top of the standings in bracket B and they were playing good basketball which is why they are on the top of the standings. The spread is just 3.5, this is attractive enough for Phoenixs fan who wants to bet on their team.

Yeah, that really shows improvement. If they did not improve, they could have panicked and lost that game. Ive seen that happen many times before.
This is where the coaching also matters. They made the right plays when the game became close and still found a way to win.

So far they are the most consistent team with a 6-0 record.

Behind them are San Miguel, Phoenix and Rain or Shine, all with 4-2 records.

Okay, congratulations to them, but the real challenge has not started yet. We will see during the eliminations if they can survive and stay consistent.

If not, then maybe this experiment is still a failure and it could take years before they really become a strong team. For now lets just enjoy what they are doing and don't miss betting on them while they are winning. I think they are also covering the spread most of the time.

Odds for the NLEX vs Terrafirma duel is already out and for me the spread is quit tempting to bet for the Terrafirma once again. The last time they met, it was a close win for the Road Warriors, 101-100 but starting the 4th quarter of that game, NLEX has a 21 point lead by the blew it and almost lost the game luckily for them the last attempt of Terrafirma didn't went in.

I have won many games already backing Terrafirma with the handicap as they always come back from a huge deficit so i think tonight will be the same though the spread of 10.5 is a bit low now compared to their previous games where the line was 15.5.

Did not bet on any games today. The first game is already over, TNT vs Titan Ultra, and TNT won by a huge margin, 114-80. They really dominated in the second half.

Next is SMB against the visiting team. I think this could be a blowout win for SMB, especially since they will try to improve their standing and possibly tie NLEX in the win column.

Its 50-22 now, and Macau really looks like a joke. They dont look like a deserving guest team because they are not competitive at all. They even look worse than some of the farm teams in the PBA. Their record is now 2-5, second from the bottom of the standings. I miss the time when a guest team was actually strong and could even reach the Finals.

Maybe next season they should consider bringing in a stronger guest team. Fans would probably be more interested if the visiting team can really compete with the PBA clubs.

I thought they are the team to beat in this conference seems other teams, easily beat them, also Converge seems not to find their groove, they have for me one of the best lineup in the league right now but they are unable to capitalized what they have, some people or post in social site that the coach were unable to capitalized with this advantage and call that the coach step down and new coach should be put in this team, so that opportunity will not go to waste.

Should I say SMB is back?

Because it really seems like they are better now. They lost last conference, but this time they are showing their dominance again, and they also have a good import which really matters. I think they have a good chance to win another championship if they continue playing like this.
