Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling?

I am not sure how gambling can be taken up as a profession. Gambling is something that is purely dependent on luck. Also, you need to remember that there is a house advantage, which lowers your chances of a win. That means that even if you go for a 2x bet, the chances of your win is not 50%. After implementing the house advantage, it can get to anywhere from 45% to 49%. And that means that in the long term, you are likely to lose money. If you bet 100 times, then the chances are that you may win 45 to 49 times and may lose 51 to 55 times. In the end, you will be left with a monetary loss.

For me, living a life through gambling isn't possible. But it depends upon the platform where gamblers bet. Mostly a trick can be catch by those gamblers that is too observant on the other hand, there are those gambling platforms that have a really fair systems. But for a person to trust his life with a 50/50 chance isn't good. they still need another income if bad fate happens.

Out of 1000, I think only few or very less people could make a living out of gambling and can survive just based on the money earned from gambling. Else it is not at all advisable to be dependent on the gambling money because in a day or two people can lose their earned money if they are too addictive to it.

playing with small capital and every profit even though the profit is not much, I deposit the profit into a vault. (I play gambling on primedice and stake)
there are times when I can't control my lust, I feel it too just same like you. just be consistent with how you bet and control your capital.

Yes you're right, i remember way back i was immature i think that good thing happened to others is by luck. And i realize that luck doesnt nothing to do with others success for example in my trading career some of my friends used to say that im very lucky when i say that i have success trading again and gained big profits but behind that they didnt know that i worked hard for it and put effort to achieve it, so i think i fully understand that luck is just what we think but hardworking is the real deal.
