As long as the season draws to this point and considering the appoint difference between Barcelons and their second,
any one will be able to chose chose the next La liga champions. Speaking of Barcelona success in general, Barcelona is doing well but I will not attribute this glory to it defense.  Barcelona defense line is made up of aging players.

There is no point of being sentimental. Barcelona is able to survive the pressure in La liga but the fire in their champion league group stage was quite too much, Same with that in the Europa league. Especially at the situation like what you have explained above where barcelona 100% main focus on securing la liga , things looks easier for barcelona but who knows ... it's football though , mathematically barcelona would win the title and i personally had no doubt about it as i have my bet on them as well
