You are right, Atletico Madrid is still too strong for Girona to beat, but any result is not impossible to happen, haven't you seen the results of the matches of several big EPL teams? Liverpool lost to Bournemouth, and Manchester United failed to get full points against Southampton, which is the team currently in last place. I disagree saying this match is not important for Atletico Madrid, because they really need points to maintain their position in the standings. Real Sociedad and real Betis are catching up now.

It was a really interesting game between Athletic Bilbao and Barcelona. I think that Barcelona should consider themselves lucky about this win also.

Because Athletic Bilbao had a really productive game in fact. Two of their goal attempts hit the goal post. Inaki Williams was nearly scoring a goal after a lovely pass also but Muniain's handball caused the goal to be disallowed by VAR later on. Yes, this fight is quite interesting. at least, the home team had several chances and put up a fierce resistance. but unfortunately, the opportunity that Bilbau had hit the goalpost. So, I agree with you. that Barcelona is lucky in this fight. because the match should have ended in a draw.

In this match, I want to highlight Barcelona's performance. I don't doubt the appearance of the back line players, even though Araujo was not played in this match. they played fairly in discipline, especially the brilliant performance shown by the goalkeeper Ter Stegen. Well, after Barcelona winning 0-1 in the first round. in the second half, the home team played more aggressively, naturally because they wanted to reverse the situation. or, equalize the score. what I'm highlighting here, every time the Barcelona players are under pressure and the high pressure that their opponents make. oftentimes, Barcelona's game patterns get messy especially in the second half, also in the final minutes. IMO, Xavi must see his team's shortcomings, improve for the future if they want to stay on track. next, hopefully the El Clasico match later. both teams, will give us a more interesting spectacle.

Regardless however Barcelona conditions is right now, I think Real Madrid's chances of destroying them this season in La Liga are still open. It must be admitted that Real Madrid has a busy and decisive schedule for Real Madrid starting from mid-February until next April, Real Madrid will play three different competitions at once. However, it doesn't make sense to underestimate any team as long as the competition is still long, even if they are the team that will most likely be relegated this season.

The conditions for Napoli really couldn't be stopped but for Barcelona I was expecting something else even though at the moment 9 points are still very large. My hope is still the same for Madrid, even though this seems imposing and tends to be impossible, but I still hope that Madrid's condition will return to its original state. The chance is still very big here, but indeed in this case it cannot be separated from their slick performance and deteriorating conditions for Madrid. Considering the current performance of Atletico Madrid, I believe Atletico Madrid will win this match. They played very well in the last 5 matches, Depay has shown his important role in Atletico squad now. Today, Depay and Griezmann can play together in Atletico attacking line. The way I see it Barca have all the advantage against Madrid. Barca is nine points ahead of Madrid in the league and are already leading 1-0 going into the second leg of the Copa del rey. Even if Madrid wins Barca this weekend which is a very difficult task giving that all Barca players will be available except Dembele, Barcelona would still be six points ahead of them. Same thing goes to the second leg of the Copa del rey. Except some Barca players get injured during the international break (which has a high probability of happening), Barca would be with their complete squad and they would be playing at home. Madrid have a very big task ahead of them but I feel the Copa del rey is the easier of the two. But they need to make use of their chances as much as possible. Girona are one of the effective attacking teams in the league. It was obvious that Barcelona would get the win, I know that people are expecting a bit more closer games and a bit more fun in the league so forth but the reality is that Barcelona may have lost in UCL and then lost in Europa which made people question how good they are but they are still pretty good at La Liga for sure.

This is bilbao we are talking about, not Inter, not Bayern, not United, it's bilbao we are talking about here and it would be pretty disappointing if they lost to Bilbao. Which is why I think expecting wins from these type of games shouldn't really be a worry for them and they should be doing as well as hoped for if you ask me.
