Talking about Atletico they come to this match after humiliated Sevilla with huge scores 6-1 and i think they are in the full of motivation to earn 3 points from this match especially Atletico has unbeatable in the last 9 matches in Laliga and Girona condition actually isn't really bad because at least before this match they can win from Almeria and Bilbao before defeated Getafe last week

I don't see any improvement in Elche's performance. Day by day the performance of the team has become weaker. This team cannot get out of the relegation zone. The two teams performed well in this match by scoring each other, but Barcelona still prove their seriousness in this season by defeated Real Madrid 2-1 to embraced their three points from the match. Despite, the injury of Robert Lewandowski Barcelona still made their strikers active through out of the match that made many people to believed that Barcelona will not allow any team to take this la Liga league title from them in this season. I think, Real Madrid are still experiencing Benzema injury because their strikers performance in this match was very poor which their coach need to do something quick that will help their players to recover from their injuries before the end of the tournament.

Especially by looking at the conditions in the following week they have to prepare to face Barcelona, it's clear this is not a problem they can solve.

as I always say, the Champions League brings a lot of cash, oxygen for teams like Real Madrid, so it was obvious they would focus on that (a bit like they did last year!)

I think this is a good addition of 3 points for Getafe and they are able to overtake Sevilla's previous position in the standings. However, this result also had a bad impact with the dismissal of coach Jorge Sampaoli because he failed to improve Sevilla's performance on the Laliga stage. It seems that Sevilla are very dissatisfied with Sampoli's work and they immediately ended the partnership after this match.

I approve of this mentality

Well it is not that they are intentionally focusing there,it is because they cannot do anything for La Liga anymore,the derby of last weekend forced them to do so after losing to Barcelona,now they are 9 points behind in La Liga so it is only natural for them to focus on the Champions League.

I know that it looks easy on paper for them the fight with Chelsea but they should not underestimate Chelsea and just remember the distant year,several years ago when Chelsea eliminated them and Chelsea was in even more bad form than they are actually now.
