I didn't see that in the first half, they were very far behind in terms of game even for possession to compensate. Until the first half ended there was not a single chance that really threatened Seville.
Erik Lamela has now been brought on to add to their attack but so far there has been no real change and it would be bad enough for them if the end result doesn't change.

Atletico Madrid are still an unreliable team. We all must be aware of it already. Even against the last-placed team in the league, their performance was pretty bad. The score shouldn't be misleading for anyone. Atletico Madrid have a squad that such a potential actually. But Simeone is just limiting the players to a set of usual game strategies as always. I always hope to see him trying something new but I haven't seen much of it yet. You just can't have a good run with the same tactics every season.

I hope Atletico Madrid change their manager before selling Felix. Because Felix can still be regained. He just needs to play with a proper system.

This is an exaggeration but I have never seen a team as boring as this Atlético. A lot can be said about this team and players. Morata is a very very different and interesting player. I swear I can't understand sometimes. I hope Felix leaves this atlético. Can be better in a better team. Atlético needs to fix their playing style. This team changed when Torres left. In the last 2-3 years, things are getting quite weird for them. Griezmann was indeed the heart and brain of this team! But he has come to this age and he hasn't gotten rid of that adolescent mood, with those strange goal celebrations and hair colors, although he is a quality gunner who will never need them. As for the team, real football fans expect a team with such high quality and strong offensive players to play a much more beautiful and effective game, but simeone's boring game mentality will never change with this trend.

Luka Modric really needs to rest in the current match, considering that next week's match Real Madrid must face Villarreal. We know that Real Madrid had a little trouble against Villarreal, they are a formidable squad.

Valverde did play in his position, in previous matches he played on the right wing position, or as a new position. But Valverde can play well in the attacking position. Toni Kroos is the only playmaker, while Valverde will play as a forward despite Asensio.

Yes, I like Marco Asensio, he is a good winger, but at the moment he is rarely playing because he has to be replaced with Valverde and Rodrygo.

It's actually good to try a player in a new position and also, to rest some players isn't a bad idea. But I think this act of resting players and also trying players in a different win requires timing. Here the question is; why are you resting this player? and, is it important to try players in a different positions in this very match?
They are matches u do this, and it turns out to become a big mistake thereby causing you to lose the match. I don't think this is the right time for Ancelotti to be doing such, especially now that he needs consistent winning to overthrow Barcelona.

Diego Simeone has been the coach of Atletico Madrid forever. He has achieved great performances with Atletico over the years, but in recent years the machine has faltered a bit. Wouldn't it be time for a change to let Atletico play football differently? A nice detail is that his son plays football in Serie A.
