Valencia may not be one of the big team right now in La Liga as other teams have gotten stronger in the competition, but they are team that has won 6 La Liga titles so far in the Spanish top ligue. The last time Valencia won the La Liga title was in the 2003/2004 season, but they are the winners of the 2019 Copa Del Rey title.

Then Voro commented as his analysis after the loss to Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu. Voro believes the team is still unstable after Gattuso's departure, it may not be the best conditions to try to win games against a top La Liga team like Real Madrid. Real Betis are doing their best at the moment to get the three points, but Celta vigo is not an easy opponent to beat, currently the score is 2-2 at half time. Other matches of the week will be played, of course, but I think the biggest surprise is that Elche beat Villarreal 3-1.  Even if there are 2 penalty goals, the important thing is the result and in the end they managed to get 3 points with 3 goals.  Let's see if this surprise win will give them enough fire.

It must be a big disappointment for Atletico Madrid not to win against Getafe home. I was pretty confident about that win truthfully. But the score was really risky though. They should have been able to get a two-goal gap to relieve at least. I didn't like Griezmann in this match. He wasted some goal opportunities. Their goal was also very interesting. It looks like Correa wasn't offside by a slight gap there. The goal was nearly being disallowed by VAR otherwise.

I assume Getafe did their best here and still weren't expecting any point at the end. But that handball was like a second chance for them. Enes Unal didn't make mistake there even though Oblak was nearly saving the penalty.

It's too unfortunate for Atletico Madrid to miss two points at home against one of the teams at the bottom of the standings. Atletico's performance has been unstable recently, whereas they lose points to teams they shouldn't lose points to, like Cadiz CF and Almeria. If they continued that way, their position for the next ECL season would be at risk, as Villareal and Real Betis strive to be there. However, we might see stronger competition for ECL positions than the competition for the title of La Liga, which is limited to Real Madrid and Barcelona.

This is the first game for Elche this season to score massive goals , it was really a great surprise for Elche to perform this way. I didn't expect Villarreal to lose to Elche because Villarreal is far better than Elche in terms of performance.  Elche is at bottom of the standings ever since.

For the start of the season, Betis' performance was quite good, but looking at the statistics of their matches after the international break, they still have problems in terms of performance and their condition is sometimes unpredictable.

I actually lost the bet because at first I chose a safe bet where Atletico are clearly superior besides playing at home, they are also actually better in any way than Getafe. However, after the equalizing goal in the penalty box was taken, Atletico had to give up the victory. Based on the final statistics, Atletico still won plus points. I believe that the strong and consistent defense is a big factor for Barcelona these days. Not only form themselves during the games, but it also demoralizes Real Madrid because they know that every game a lot of rather unexpected events must happen in order for Barcelona to drop some points. They did not concede any goals in 14 out of 19 games. Of course they can have a weak phase due to injuries or exhaustion, but often times five points advantage can be a lot when they keep performing on that level and Real Madrid is dropping points even only sporadically. For now Barcelona looks like they might make it close to the magical 100 points mark.

Barcelona's game level has improved from a worrying start to the season, they are slowly getting to their best game and so far Barcelona is unbeaten in the ten matches they have played in all competitions. The only thing they are worried about is injury or fatigue to the players, because this will have an impact on the games they will play, while they have to maintain a five point difference until the season ends.

Five points will be the difference between the two teams, but because there are still so many matches left, Real Madrid's chances of continuing to be in the title race are still quite open, if they are able to maintain consistency in the next game.

Two goals from Pere Milla put Elche ahead temporarily until the first half ended, Villareal must be aware of the surprises that Elche will give in the second half, if they don't want to drop points in this game. It is definitely going to be a highlight again between two very strong teams. I kind of missed that the last couple of years as both teams struggled a bit and didn't play at the level they once used to play at.

Another important point that I really find worth mentioning here is that Barcelona this season has the youngest squad in over two decades (perhaps ever, I just checked for 20 years). So it seems as if Barcelona is successfully getting back on track and will be able to build something new now. Next season they will certainly be a top address again for superstars when they are qualified for the CL again and have a promising team already.

At times it really looked as if Barcelona might completely be crashing to the ground (also because of their financial problems).

I am also asking myself what the future of Atletico will look like. I like Simeone for his consistency, but now I am not so sure anymore whether this constellation still holds a positive future. Maybe they really need to change something in the near future.
