This is a matter of proof and quality, I was not surprised when Real Madrid won by 3 goals over Girona because they deserved it with the difference in quality between the two teams being quite striking, while Atletico Madrid did win and they also proved it. That's an interesting theory about Barcelona's bankruptcy in case they are found guilty. I believe that in European soccer there are a few clubs that are too big too fail and Barcelona is still vital for La Liga. Not as much as a few years ago, but too much to let them fall. I guess the clasico has too much of a global meaning in many respects and not least financially and for promotion of the league. Manchester City and the Premier League is the same. Last night's match against Cadiz was amazing and I think Atletico should be able to make a comeback even though they were 2 goals behind at first.
