This game is the clearest example of how the bookies mess with us,they give 1.70 as an odd to Villareal when they clearly lack the form and they have based this odd only on the name of the team.I wanted to bet on them but then changed to Atletico Madrid only because of their form as they are on a great run and they prove me right,they won against a really good Real Sociedad which is doing great also in the La Liga so what we learn here is that bookies should most of the time not be trusted and better to trust our vision and our knowledge,this will most of the time be beneficial to us.Villareal needs to improve their game as they have the players to do so and surely the players to win against a team like Las Palmas.

You could not be any more right about this. The whole game it was Real Sociedad who had more control although Atletico Madrid undeniably had a few shots on target as well. But considering from the point of view of general control during the game, it was Real Sociedad who were in the driving seat most of the time.

The penalty is soo awkward, it is difficult to have an opinion about it. But according to the rules when they enlarge their body surface by using their hand, I think the referee has no choice but to award the penalty. But it's complicated. I am not sure what the rule exactly states, but I think that intention is no requirement? Or is intention a requirement? If it only counts when the body surface is expanded by using the hand or arm, then it is a penalty. But it's not nice to see a great game get decided that way.

With only 2 wins in 9 matches so far, Villareal are close to the relegation zone.

In the battle of two in-form teams, Atletico Madrid won 2-1 with 2 goals and added an important 3 points to their score. I think Barcelona needs to take a look back into what is making it so hard for them, and the yneed to figure out the root of the problem. They have some amazing young talent there is no doubt about that. Pedri, Gavi, Balde, Yamal these are all incredibly young, and I mean like way too young, oldest of them is pedri at 20, and players like De Jong, Araujo, Raphinha, Kounde, Felix (loan but he may join) Torres are all young as well, oldest is 26 with De Jong.

So when you think about it, they have built an amazing team that are filled with star potential level players who are young and could play as much as 10 years, some even more with only maybe one of them not 10 years. So when you have a team like that, you need to find what's missing so that you could literally go without transferring anyone. These type of games are tough on that path, and needs to be less and less.
