Girona made Barcelona have to admit that Girona was a strong team that was able to beat them at home and away with the same score. A bit disappointing, but Barcelona fans have to accept reality.

I doubt next season will be better for Barcelona. If they're not careful they can have it worse than they did this season. With the kind of players Barcelona are going after, I doubt they'll be able to compete at top level next season. I'm my opinion, I think they should have let Xavi go and hired Flick. Even if it was for a short term. Flick would have brought something new to the club.

Girona have managed to upset Barcelona this season because after all, Girona have beaten Barcelona in two La Liga matches this season. Obviously, this is a bad result for Barcelona so obviously, Barcelona failed this season to get the trophy. But even so, Barcelona had a good effort in this match too because after all, Barcelona won 1-2 at half time but unfortunately, the 1-2 victory at half time seemed to make Barcelona complacent. Even if Barcelona were able to win Girona I doubt if they would have still be able to stop Madrid from winning the title except if Madrid ha lost the rest of their games which is almost not possible, Madrid is such a strong and tough teams too allowing such at this time for a league title so I don't think Girona really got to influence Madrid's winning the trophy this season rather it was just Girona getting ahead of Barcelona.

It's still possible Barcelona gets to finish as the runner up but then it will have to be conditional as Girona may have to probably get to draw or loose one game again before exhausting their remaining fixtures for the season but as Barcelona too would have to maintain a winning streak to keep them ahead by accumulating some more points just before the season eventually comes to an end, they have got just four more games to the end of the season and I think Barcelona knowing how well their position is now threatened will definitely do as much as they can about it.

Girona ia actually getting so many surprised because like you rightly reference them, they are considered an underdog but their rise this season has been really such a tremendous one that has gotten them some kind of recognition as they didn't relent or get to fall terribly as expected of them been an underdog after they did suffered some set back a while after they got to the top of the table and later got displaced by the elites.

And Real Madrid on tonight secured their 36th Spanish LaLiga title after Barcelona were handed a 4-2 loss at Girona. Real Madrid have 87 points to win the Spanish league title, with four matches to spare. Congrats Real Madrid.

This Barcelona game with Girona is just something else and look at me thinking that Girona has even lost their touch and all of a sudden they have just turned the game around by defeating Barcelona by huge margin of four goals to two. No doubt that Girona really shocked the other Laliga teams with their performance and it just shows that every team indeed has the potentials to do well with the right people and mentality in place

The match really shocked me as well because in the first half Barcelona played as though they will win Girona and they played better than Girona in the first half only for the second half to start and Girona wiped Barcelona 4:2. Barcelona's defense is really disappointing to be honest they really need do something about their defense line because that is mostly where their problems lies if they can build their defense very well they won't be faced with many problems because they have quality strikers that can do the scoring. This was exactly same result that Girona won Barcelona with during their first meeting in Camp Nou earlier this season they also won Barcelona by 4:2 on 10th December 2023.

Carlo Ancelotti is simply the best man for the job at Real Madrid and I find it a great pleasure to be a Real Madrid fan at the moment. This is unbelievable, Girona winning Barcelona not what I had expected. Girona really dealt with Barcelona, all the goals were most likely the same and I see the fault now coming from the Defenders with their wrong positioning and always leaving their defensive line empty. If not for the wonderful saves from the keeper and that of the defender, more goals should have been recorded in this match against Barcelona. In as much, a bit congrats to Madrid for winning the La Liga, they were the favourite and still proved themselves worthy of becoming the Champions.

Courtois won one game and won one title

Maybe that is what is reflected in the mind of Real Madrid's main goalkeeper after suffering a long injury at the start of the season and being absent for such a long time. But in today's match against Cadiz, he started and played quite well without conceding a single goal.

I confess that I am very shocked by this result, I expected Barcelona to at least come out of this game with victory, but they lost in a humiliating way, they conceded 4 goals. there were many goals conceded. I wasn't surprised by this match, that's why I rarely watch Barcelona matches. although, in fact I am a Barca fan. Girona really took control of the game in the second half and their was no hope for them after they added two more goals to maintain a two goal lead in the second half. Girona lost out of the La Liga trophy fight some months ago after they were unable to beat Real Madrid in their second leg match of the season, it was then that their performance began to decline massively and found themselves in that position and points now on the table. If Girona would have consistently kept that momentum they started the season with or the performance they pulled out in today’s match, we will have a very more competitive fight for the league title and not just how Real Madrid won it without much stress as there are no competent teams to stand them in the fight for the trophy.
