Real Madrid has been the most excited in La Liga this season due to which they have succeeded in winning the title. At the beginning of this season we saw Girona perform very well and they were at the top, later Real Madrid beat Girona and Barcelona to occupy the top spot of the points table and no team could catch them. And this season, Madrid has performed the best, which is why they have succeeded, but Ancelotti has contributed the most to this effort. He has made Madrid work the hardest and succeeded. Also I am very happy to see Real Madrid become La Liga champion this season, surely for next season Madrid will have better strict system and improve their game. However, since this season Real Madrid have played a significant role in the UEFA Champions League again and they are very much in contention for the title. And if they can beat Bayran Munich in the next match in the Champions League, then they will surely enter the final match and have the advantage of being champions.

La Liga is definitely a competitive league and for the fact that against all odds, Girona being an uprising team, have proven to stay in the top spot, it only means that there's definitely good fighting and resilient spirits in the teams there. The last weeks of the season games seems to be a walk over for Girona as they've in the first legs played to their best and have mastered rightly their strategies and the opposing team approaches, and so they've got better experience to countering the moves that'll be made.

 Of all seasons, asides the top teams like Atletico, Barcelona and Real Madrid, there's little or no heated contests to stay on top amongst average teams. Although their performances this season have been impressive but just as Villarreal who managed to get reasonable in the European contests and even Sevilla as well, this season, Sevilla is nowhere to be found in their usual league standings. ⁠The league is coming to an end and it’s evidently clear that Real Madrid will be the winners of the league especially after such remarkable season.

 Well Girona and Barcelona are the closest contenders but they haven’t  been able to gather enough points to be able to challenge Real Madrid. The La Liga is pretty competitive but I think it revolves majorly around Real Madrid and Barcelona as other clubs tend not to be able to perform better than these 2 clubs. Well this all balls down to investment in football and if that’s done we’ll be able to see major competitions in the league.

This was kind of a surprise because Barcelona has only lost one away match in this season and that was against Real Madrid. So I did not think Barcelona was actually going to lose this match. I thought probably it is going to be a draw and even if Barcelona does lose, it is not going to be so bad. And let’s be honest, Barcelona was not going to lose this match if they did not make so many mistakes in the defense. True mistakes in the defense from Barcelona cost them two goals.

Otherwise, it could have been a draw for Barcelona and that was definitely going to be a good enough result for them. But now Barcelona finishing in the second position in the La Liga competition is in danger. It is definitely going to be counted as a little failure for Barcelona if they cannot finish in the second position.

Girona managed to beat Barcelona on their last matchup as well, which is quite a serious problem for Barcelona. I assumed Barcelona would finish the season second and that was a locked in thing in my brain, the fact that they are third now looks terrible for them. I really do hope that Barcelona manages to bring themselves back to second place because that is going to be quite important for them.

Not just because they would make more money, but also because they need it to sustain the team as well. If Girona finishes third instead of second nothing huge would happen for them, but if Barcelona finishes third instead of second then it won't be good for them at all. This is why in the remainder of the games I am expecting Barcelona to get full wins, which will not be easy at all.

Girona played great at home and that is what they dreamed of and planned for pre-match. The match was tough with Barcelona taking the lead, but Míchel's substitutions by playing Portu and Yan Couto produced sweet results. Of course Barcelona must accept this defeat with their heads held high, but basically they have to blame themselves for the defeat.

Barcelona is still very likely to be in second place at the end of the season, I mean Girona certainly cannot be completely trusted to always win. Finishing the season as runners up is Barcelona's ultimate goal this season, but Girona will certainly try for it too. Each has its own interests and both teams will grab to win them.

By the way, what also surprised me was the reasoning that “we want to become second.” Of course, he meant that Barcelona wants to overtake Girona, but still this is too small a goal to be worth voicing at all.

They lost the game last night but I was impressed to see Robert Lewandoski scoring another goal after that hat trick display against Valancia.

Losing after being the most dominant dide happens and you can't do nothing about it. Better luck next fixture or next season. Xavi Hernandez staying means he will definitely be backed by the club, with new players.

Girona displayed a wonderful performance yesterday that no one would expect from them because Barca is in a good form, or have they just declined in form recently? From one goal down Barca lost focus and got intimidated by Girona's game pattern in the second half after Lewnadoski scored the last goal for Baca in the last minutes of the first half. Girona was able to score three goals a d won the match achieving three points which gave them the opportunity to move up to second position, while Barca steps down from second position for Girona. A very porous defense was the problem and it needs to be fixed.

Girona did everyone proud with their outstanding performance over the giant Barcelona yesterday and I'm pretty sure even the Barca fans were marveled with the turnout of the match. There's nothing anyone could do about it and I'm not ready to blame anyone for the misfortune on Barcelona. Not the coach or the players. Only that they could have put more efforts but I'm sure that's all they could offer.

Girona is always a good team until they went down on their performance at a time during the heat of the season and now they seem to be back again, with their strong defeat over the elite club, Barcelona. I didn't expect this comeback but I'm sure their building their stamina against next season, hopefully. Kudos to the team.

I think that the top 6 positions and also the final three positions at the bottom of the table are pretty much decided in this La Liga season. I don't think it is going to change to marks from what it is right now.  because the teams that are in the top 6 positions have made a good difference of points with the teams that are in the middle of the table. 

the teams that are in the relegation zone also have quite a far difference in points from the teams that are just above the relegation zone.  so I do not think there is going to be a big difference from what it is right now. The only change of positions might happen is between Barcelona and Girona.  because they only have a difference of 1 point between them.  so if any team makes any mistake the other team is going to take advantage of that,  just like Girona did in the last match against Barcelona. Xavi Will have to improve the situation that Barcelona is in right now.  but I am pretty sure that he is not going to get a lot of financial support.

I would say that this is a historic season for Girona. They have performed so well throughout this season and they have also been able to beat some of the strongest La Liga teams so far. Barcelona and its supporters will certainly admit that, but as far as I know Barcelona deserved to lose when they were really bad at transitioning from attack to defense. Girona took advantage of the opportunity and scored a goal even though Barcelona was statistically superior in many ways.

Xavi, who is rumored to be staying at Barcelona next season, needs to think about the best way to strengthen his defense line. Their goal productivity is still good, but he must find the right solution to strengthen the defense and also the midfielders.

Sorry to say, but I don't see Barcelona becoming a rival team to Real Madrid this season and instead Girona is the real competitor in La Liga. We know that all El Clasico meetings this season have always been dominated by Real Madrid with consecutive wins and on the other hand, Barcelona has not been able to beat Real Madrid once this season.

So it is clear that Real Madrid does not see Barcelona as a big threat and regarding investment in players it is also clear that Real Madrid is further ahead. There are no similarities that can draw the competition between the two big teams in La Liga and Girona has become a team that can always beat Barcelona like they did yesterday.

Saying Barcelona is Ina good form wouldn't be a totally correction in it's entirety because Barcelona recently suffer some kind of decline and are just trying their best to still make sure they finish at a relatively good position before the end of the season as they are not able to win the la Liga title, they can still be able to make it to the champions league next season and probably be able to improve.

Girona has been really fired up this season an they have so far exhibited a different level or resilience which is beginning to look unmatched with others in the la Liga this season except for Real Madrid who happens to be at the top of the table and aswell in one of the best form so far this season too aswell in the la Liga. Gironas performance sometimes comes to me as surprise because some how at some point I didn't actually expect that much from them but they were able to do it anyways, the first leg against Barcelona this season they had almost similar performance too and the number of goals they get everytime they meet Barcelona is another thing to consider.

Barcelona actually have a good attack, a fair midfield but their defense is such that they actually need some form of reinforcement because it's just penetrable once there's a certain amount of pressure on it, it tends to be penetrable but if it's not pressured well enough then it will look like it's a good one and that was what Girona understood and probably used it, they seem to know of the midfield been relatively fair so they didn't allow the ball concentrate long enough in the midfield rather keeping it at the Barcelona defense created a pressure around the defense which later created room for the penetration.

But everything is very different this season where Girona was able to show their best strength and was able to stay in second place in the standings.

Even though I am not a Barcelona fan, this is good news that Xavi has changed his mind to stay with Barcelona as their head coach. Since Xavi became Barcelona's head coach, he has helped the club win the La Liga title, even when Barcelona was not financially stable enough to sign some quality players that could help Xavi perform well as a coach. 

Yes, because if you think about it, who else would be Barcelona's football manager in a situation like this. They will probably only get a mediocre coach, not necessarily as good as Xavi in his management, because of financial problems which up to now have not been able to get out of this problem. The point is that Barcelona actually really hoped that Xavi would be there, and in the end Xavi did it. To be honest for me, it was still a surprise, for the second time Xavi fleet lost to Girona this season, and as a result allowed Madrid to lock up the trophy more quickly. Girona, who had run out of energy, has now appeared consistent again, Michel fleet is indeed very worthy of playing in the Champions League next season. I think Girona will be able to maintain its position in second place until the season ends.

Michel cold hands have once again managed to break most of the predictions, where Girona has again managed to beat one of La Liga elite teams, and now they have to be respected by the other contestants. Main positions in La Liga are almost declared. In the relegation zone, Almeria and Granada will relegate for sure. There is Cadiz that seems to be hard for them to stay in La Liga with all bad results and the limited advantages they had.
In the top ranks, I believe the first four will remain like what they used to be. Athletic Bilbao seems to be the closest one to pick a Champions League spot, yet they are only 2 matches away from getting what they want, which remains relatively big.
