Your expectations will only run 50%, Bilbao won from Getafe, it makes sense, they are playing a home game & still have Nico in their team, will make this match their first 3 point field. The other 50% will fail, because Real Betis is also playing a home game, i hope Real Betis can win this game because they are on my betting slip.

It looks like both of us have failed.    I mean I was able to predict Betis - Girona game to end up with a draw but failed about Athletic Bilbao. I believe it was because of Nico Williams' not being a starter also. Subbing him in the last 20 minutes? Are you serious?

Girona were really seeming like they would lose at halftime. Because they played really poorly in the first half. But after some improvement they stole one point by 1-1. Playing away against Betis is always difficult for most teams in the La Liga. They lost home only 3 times last season. Congrats to people who bet on both teams to score for this one. I think it was logical to bet on. It seemed risky to bet on a side to me honestly as it was just the beginning.

The Bilbao side have themselves to blame on this 1-1 draw, this is the first game of the season and every team would want to get all 3 point just to be at the top of the log but the manager Valverde gambled with the game, knowing quite well that the Getafe side also are hungry to make a statement and also want to get all 3pt, now you have see how difficult the defense line of your opponent are and the midfield down to the attacker are stronger and doing better than your team, why not bring in your attacking power Nico Williams to combine with his brother to make something happen but he waited till it was late, there was nothing to do with how the away team was pressing and defending, it was well planned by Getafe.
The away team played better to even put more pressure on the host and I was expecting a win but they (Getafe) were unlucky to not convert some of their chances and these guys became more faster than we used to know them, I just hope they continue like this to cause more problems to their opponent in the next game.

I agree that Bilbao manager Valverde made mistake by not bringing in Nico Williams sooner to boost their attack. Getafe strong defense and midfield made it difficult for Bilbao to create scoring opportunities. Valverde late substitution was too little too late and Getafe well planned strategy deserved win. Despite not converting their chances Getafe showed impressive speed and pressure making them formidable opponent. I hope they maintain this level of performance to cause more upsets in future games.

Fatal mistake planned by valverde by not entering nico willliams at the beginning, I do not understand the coach's wishes, the fans want better results by getting 3 points, we see since nico entered in the second half their game (bilbao) is much better, it is useless to produce ball control if there is no attack produced, on the other hand getafe played well, solid defense was shown by them, fast attacks relying on long balls. much more effective, on paper bilbao won but in fact on the field getafe played well, in my opinion the achievement of 1 point for atletic bilbao is very unfortunate seeing them playing at home is a defeat.

Atletico Madrid played very well in their last match in this pre-season and they managed to beat Juventus with score of 2-0 and this shows that Atletico Madrid is ready to start the new season with La Liga or other competitions.
In this match Atletico Madrid could not dominate the game with ball possession but they were able to take advantage of all the opportunities available and showed that their front line could create good gaps and could put pressure on the opponent defense.
Atletico Madrid is far superior in terms of attack, they also have fairly good defense line, this is the condition we want and it can make the future competition much more interesting.

I got pretty good odds from this match because Juventus is also not weak team so each team has high odds.

Atlético de Madrid football team won the match one sided. All the players of Atlético de Madrid team looked in good form and they gave good passes and saw excellent performance from  Correa and Félix. Because these two players were match winner because their team won due to their effort. I know  we can't underestimate the Juventus F.C. team because their players are also good but they could not perform wel in this match . The physique of players were impressive and I liked the goal of Félix because he did goal at right time when team needed that. The lineup of Atlético de Madrid was also perfect and they didn't give any chance to opponent team and that's why we saw the  easy win of Atlético de Madrid.

Inaki and Nico Williams play very well together on the wings, but I don't understand why Nico started the match as a substitute. Nico Williams showed himself and his quality at Euro 2024. I don't understand what coach Valverde Tejedor was trying to do by bringing him in later. After Getafe equalized, they played the match more defensively and deservedly got 1 point.

A rare performance shown by Getafe against Bilbao. Getafe had little possession of the ball. But, they were interesting with it against Bilbao. They also defended well from our attack. And i was not expecting we have difficulty beating Getafe at San Mames. I hate to see Getafe get a deserved point from it cuz it makes my bet collapse.

Also, i think we threw the game away with their midfield substitutions. And it was killing our mid, which is also helping Getafe to leave slowly from the pressure. This is not what i was hoping to see the draw on the opening week of La Liga.

And last, I'm very disappointed with Bilbao benching Nico.

So Bilbao didn't get the win and your bet's busted. But Getafe held their own. Less possession? Sure. But they were organized, disciplined, and hit Bilbao on the counter. That's the La Liga. The smaller clubs aren't pushovers anymore. They can go into anyone's stadium and scrap for a result

Bilbao's subs? Head-scratcher. They weakened their midfield. Valverde's got some explaining to do. Nico on the bench? Maybe he's easing him in. Or maybe he's overthinking it. Early season, coaches are still figuring things out

This ain't the end of the world. It's a wake-up call. Both teams learned something today. Bilbao needs to be sharper. Getafe? They're on the right track. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Let's see who makes the adjustments

Yes I also think it is 2 very interesting games to watch. Both teams get 1 point. I have predicted Girona's performance will decrease this season because they have sold their best player last season who was the top scorer in La Liga. But some of the reasons why artem dovbyk was sold is because the player really wants to join AS Roma. Yes AS Roma is a big club and Girona is a small club in La Liga even though they managed to surprise everyone last season. It seems like dovbyk wants to achieve another success with AS Roma in Serie A this season.

Atletico Bilbao have opened the 2024/25 season with an early kickoff. Playing against a somewhat stubborn side in Getafe it's safe to say it's not going to be easy to get a win in the game. Although they started off very well and got an early goal thanks to Oihan Sancet, they could not maintain the dominance because in the second half, Getafe leveled up thanks to a Chris. Uche header.
 Right now Atletico Bilbao seem a bit shaky, making mistakes and looking like they have lost the confidence they began with in the first half and if care is not taken, Getafe may take the lead and if that should happen, it will be disastrous and disappointing because they have managed to go 19 games at home without a loss so losing will break that record and they will have to start the beginning of the season with a loss and if you ask me, that's not a good way to start.

Firstly I would like to commend the away team, Getafe for the way they approached the game, the intensity they used, and their pacy styles of attack which I find very unique especially from a visiting team, it seemed as if Getafe were the ones playing at home at some point, though they were very unlucky upfront and couldnt utilize their goal scoring opportunities when they had them. For the home side, I think coach Enersto valverde should be blamed for his side's poor performance, I don't see the reasons for him to have kept his best player on the bench when he is fit to play especially on the opening day of season where you need to grab all 3points.

Girona's results in La Liga last year were exceptional, because due to their budget and population size, it is not normal for them to fight for the top positions, and they were normally a second division team. We had a similar case years ago with Deportivo de La Coruña, now in the second division, but who shone and managed to win a league and two Copa del Rey.

I just saw that La Liga has started and there are even 2 matches. I think the game will start this Saturday. Girona have contested and drawn. I think it was a pretty good start. Girona plays at Real Betis. So with good statistical conditions, Girona managed to control the match. I'm not too sure about Girona's condition this season. But this is also the same when thinking Girona will be out of the top 5 at the end of the season. But all my predictions were wrong, Girona was able to play well. There are opportunities for every team, but it is possible realistically a team with better players will perform better.

I didn't watch Real Betis' game against Girona, but based on the highlights of the performances I've seen so far, Girona was lucky to draw the match; though both teams performed well, Betis attacked more than Girona. Girona's performance was poor in the first half, but they were able to draw the match thanks to Gabriel Misehouy, who scored one minute after being substituted. It is very risky to bet on a team at this point because it is the beginning of the season and not all of the teams will be at their best, maybe I'll wait two to three weeks because I can't afford to lose right now.

Bilbao, on the other hand, I don't believe they drew against Getafe due to Nico Williams was on the bench till the 70th minute of the game, even without Nico Williams in the first half, they performed very well they missed several chances to score goals, Bilbao dominated the match with 70% ball possession, one can not get a team to win a game, it's only that victory was not on their side in the starting game. Bilbao will face Barcelona in their next game, and I can't wait to watch how Nico Williams will battle against Yamal.

One of such is Real Mallorca against Real Madrid where the later is given 1.51 odd which I consider a wonderful giveaway because Madrid will not lose their first match for any reason. I'm also seeing UD Las Palmas against Sevilla FC in which the away win or draw has 1.44 odds; combining these two matches will give over 200% ROI which is a pretty good way to start the season. It is not easy for Girona to win at Real Betis headquarters, the home team always manages to trouble their opponents when playing Home and Away. Girona were lucky not to suffer a defeat in their first game of the La Liga season, but I am also not so sure about Girona ability this season. They managed to make a big surprise last season, but this season they will struggle to achieve the same achievement.
Girona have also lost one of their best strikers who moved to Roma, the departure of Artem Dovbyk will affect the sharpness of their front line. I have seen how Atletico Madrid and Barcelona reorganized their squads, while other teams were competing to bring in quality players, Girona sold their best player who managed to become the top scorer last season.

Nico Williams is not injured or out of shape, but Ernesto Valverde did not start Nico Williams, Athletic Bilbao had everything in that match but could not take 3 points from Getafe. Getafe got 1 point, not bad for them at the start of the season & playing away, they deserved a pretty good result as their performance was quite stable in this match.
