A rare performance shown by Getafe against Bilbao. Getafe had little possession of the ball. But, they were interesting with it against Bilbao. They also defended well from our attack. And i was not expecting we have difficulty beating Getafe at San Mames. I hate to see Getafe get a deserved point from it cuz it makes my bet collapse.

Also, i think we threw the game away with their midfield substitutions. And it was killing our mid, which is also helping Getafe to leave slowly from the pressure. This is not what i was hoping to see the draw on the opening week of La Liga.

And last, I'm very disappointed with Bilbao benching Nico.

Yes I also don't understand why they didn't start Nico, he was in good form and they brought him on in the second half, I think this is Bilbao's failure to maximize their first home win, and Bilbao also played quite badly with several fouls that made them get four yellow cards, and on the other hand Getafe played quite solidly by managing to hold Bilbao to a draw at home, a good point for Getafe not Bilbao.

I think Getafe are more satisfied with the draw than the hosts because you could see how elated they were when the ref blew the whistle to signal the end of the game. Anyways, let's just chalk their performance as a warm up for the both sides being that it's their first game of the season and it's normal for these things to happen.
 Girona were not any different as they too settled for a 1-1 draw even though Betis werr the first to draw blood.
In all, it was a very entertaining game for a season opener as the two sides gave as good as they got but I'm hoping we'd see something better from the two sides in their next respective games.

Athletic Bilbao lost 2 points by drawing with Getafe and I hope this shock will bring them back to their senses. Getafe maintained this by drawing with Uche and they left the match with 1 point. I think this was a right move as much as they were happy because Bilbao was clearly a superior team to Getafe. Girona even did good by getting a point at away. We will start knowing the full strength of Girona this season after at least 5 games of the season. But for a club like Girona to get an away point in the first fixture at away is a good result.

They should do better in the Champions League because the teams there are much better than most of the teams in La Liga. Basically friendly games are not an indication, if we say "Barcelona lost to Monaco so they are not looking good", we could also say "Barcelona beat Real Madrid they are looking strong" which one makes sense to you, I personally do not think that we are going to make that much sense by just saying which one makes sense, it is not really that complicated to make that sense and we should not be looking at it like an important game, it's only just friendly games and we can't really make a deduction from it at all. We are going to face Barcelona doing decent enough but I still expect second place for them.
Real Madrid looks such a good team that we are going to end up with them winning the league without a doubt, it will not be really that easy to handle at all. We are going to see this changing so it should be something that could give a good result in the end. This should be very careful without a doubt but a second place is all they could get this year.

Preseason friendly are like nice appetizers before a large meal - they look good but don't reveal the whole story.
Barcelona, for example. They were scattered against Monaco and Real Madrid. Coach Xavi is certainly testing his best lineup and strategies. Thats smart, but we shouldnt overinterpret the outcomes. Even in meaningless friendlies, Real Madrid looks sharp. Well-organized, confident, and hungry. They're the team to beat now.
Barcelona or another team may surprise us and take the show. Its what makes this sport amazing. Real Madrid is much stronger. They have skill, experience, and momentum. Barcelona must improve to keep up.
My opinion is my own, however I've played this game for a while and know what Im talking about. genuine Madrid is the genuine deal and wont be stopped.

Pre-season friendlies and their results dictate nothing. Even if a team loses all their matches, we can't write them off. Pre season is all about coaches finding out the right players in their starting XIs. Testing out as many players as they can. That's what preseason is all about.

If talking about Barcelona and Real Madrid specifically, they had decent preseasons each. Both teams have a decent squad to work with, especially Real. A lot of talents to browse through, and star players too. They kicked off well and might end up with 1/2 trophies in the end. Barca also trying their best to find the sweet spot, with a new gaffer in the club. La Liga should be interesting in 24/25, with Atletico also strengthening their team.

Girona were really seeming like they would lose at halftime. Because they played really poorly in the first half. But after some improvement they stole one point by 1-1. Playing away against Betis is always difficult for most teams in the La Liga. They lost home only 3 times last season. Congrats to people who bet on both teams to score for this one. I agree that Bilbao manager Valverde made mistake by not bringing in Nico Williams sooner to boost their attack. Getafe strong defense and midfield made it difficult for Bilbao to create scoring opportunities. Valverde late substitution was too little too late and Getafe well planned strategy deserved win. Despite not converting their chances Getafe showed impressive speed and pressure making them formidable opponent. I hope they maintain this level of performance to cause more upsets in future games.

Atletico Madrid played very well in their last match in this pre-season and they managed to beat Juventus with score of 2-0 and this shows that Atletico Madrid is ready to start the new season with La Liga or other competitions.

Atlético de Madrid football team won the match one sided. All the players of Atlético de Madrid team looked in good form and they gave good passes and saw excellent performance from  Correa and Félix. Because these two players were match winner because their team won due to their effort. I know  we can't underestimate the Juventus F.C. team because their players are also good but they could not perform wel in this match . The physique of players were impressive and I liked the goal of Félix because he did goal at right time when team needed that. The lineup of Atlético de Madrid was also perfect and they didn't give any chance to opponent team and that's why we saw the  easy win of Atlético de Madrid.

Yes I also think it is 2 very interesting games to watch. Both teams get 1 point. But some of the reasons why artem dovbyk was sold is because the player really wants to join AS Roma. Yes AS Roma is a big club and Girona is a small club in La Liga even though they managed to surprise everyone last season.  Right now Atletico Bilbao seem a bit shaky, making mistakes and looking like they have lost the confidence they began with in the first half and if care is not taken, Getafe may take the lead and if that should happen, it will be disastrous and disappointing because they have managed to go 19 games at home without a loss so losing will break that record and they will have to start the beginning of the season with a loss and if you ask me, that's not a good way to start.

The Bilbao side have themselves to blame on this 1-1 draw, this is the first game of the season and every team would want to get all 3 point just to be at the top of the log but the manager Valverde gambled with the game, knowing quite well that the Getafe side also are hungry to make a statement and also want to get all 3pt, now you have see how difficult the defense line of your opponent are and the midfield down to the attacker are stronger and doing better than your team, why not bring in your attacking power Nico Williams to combine with his brother to make something happen but he waited till it was late, there was nothing to do with how the away team was pressing and defending, it was well planned by Getafe.
The away team played better to even put more pressure on the host and I was expecting a win but they (Getafe) were unlucky to not convert some of their chances and these guys became more faster than we used to know them, I just hope they continue like this to cause more problems to their opponent in the next game.

Firstly I would like to commend the away team, Getafe for the way they approached the game, the intensity they used, and their pacy styles of attack which I find very unique especially from a visiting team, it seemed as if Getafe were the ones playing at home at some point, though they were very unlucky upfront and couldnt utilize their goal scoring opportunities when they had them. For the home side, I think coach Enersto valverde should be blamed for his side's poor performance, I don't see the reasons for him to have kept his best player on the bench when he is fit to play especially on the opening day of season where you need to grab all 3points.
