That has always been Atletico game strategy. They believe more in defending and when there's an opportunity for counter-attack, they use it wisely to get the best outcome from it. Barcelona is strong and it's gonna be a difficult match for both teams since they're fighting to boost up their points to favor themselves in the title race. A draw might end the match if both teams are not ready to accept defeat.

I don't think Atletico Madrid's same strategy will work against Barcelona. You can't stand a match against Barcelona's Hansi Flick with memorized strategies. Because Hansi Flick is great at match planning especially when he knows the opposing team's strategy. I strongly believe that Simeone will change the strategy in the Copa del Rey semi-final match. Because the strategy of defense and counter-attack is very old and may prove useless especially in the knockout match. As always, Barcelona's strategy will be offensive but I hope it will be special. Even Barcelona's defense is quite strong which is enough to defend Atletico's counter-attacks.

La Liga is not farmer's league, so the best clubs work hard enough to accomplish their goals, we know how tough it's been for them but they managed to secure to be at the very top. Atletico Madrid have always been defensive but they've not secure a path to bang goals against oppositions that are mainly competitive. What's the core duties of Diego Simeone? He has to bring up new ideas to explore the club because there's definitely new opportunities arising every single day.

Barcelona on the other hand have been extremely fierce in dealing with oppositions. I don't think they will omit any chance to go streak winnings this season. Hansi Flick have also ensure he secured this path to maintain so good chemistry with his players.

Barcelona play the best football in the league. They have a very good winning streak. But for other teams it's not over yet. The points difference is very small and the fixture is very tight. They play a game every 3 days. It's not right to expect them to win every game. They can lose some games. The important thing is how much they win overall, because their opponents won't win all their games either. Injuries and rotation will affect the results. It's important to keep these things in mind when betting.

Even if you enter the field with the intention of winning every match, it is difficult to win. Maybe if a team plays good football they don't win every match but at least they don't lose some matches they win and some they draw. Barcelona has been playing good football in La Liga this season and we can see Barcelona's 3 point gap with other teams so far. As Barcelona are leading the points table we all think that maybe Barcelona will hold this lead until the end of the season and regain the league title they lost last season. Just as it is not impossible for Barcelona to win the league title this season, it is also not impossible for Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid to come back suddenly. 
Barcelona need to focus only on their performance and always keep in mind that if they lose a match in La Liga they may fall back out of the La Liga competition so they need to perform accordingly.

While it is hard to win every single game, from what I understand all Barcelona needs to do is lose maximum of three more points than Real Madrid and they still win the title right? So let's say until the end of the season, Barcelona lost 5 points, one tie and one loss, and Real Madrid lost just 3 points, that means Barcelona is the winner.

That is how it works, if we could focus on what Barcelona needs on this type of scenario, then we can be a lot better and certain about what is going on with the league. Sure they could potentially lose to Atletico Madrid, or any team in the league, but that doesn't mean they are going to lose the title, it just means they need to be more careful until Real Madrid loses points again.

But it's not a given that this will actually happen, Real Madrid are behind and don't want to give up.

It will be very tough for Real Madrid to surpass Barcelona for the league table this season, Real Madrid continues to win games, while Barcelona cannot give up on the league this season. Real Madrid is 3 points behind Barcelona, I expected Barcelona to struggle in the game against Girona because it was less than 72 hours after they defeated Osasuna, but it is clear that Barcelona is prepared to perform at their best level to win many titles this season.

Barcelona will not give up, they will keep dominating the league till they see that they win the title this season, Real Madrid are not in their best performance this season, while Barcelona are in a very good shape currently. Barcelona already at the top of the league, and this is what make it more difficult for Real Madrid to get the chance of winning the league title.

Although, I understand that Barcelona are just ahead of them with 3 points which is not enough for us to say everything is over. But with the way things are going, I think they will continue dominating their matches just to secure more points to give Real Madrid more gap in the table.

However, among the top 3 clubs in La Liga, Barcelona is the favorite to win the league title this season, since they have the strength to beat any team in the league. I believe that Real Madrid will give it their all till the end of the season but I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t win the league title this season because Barcelona is far better than them. I hope Real Madrid can win a trophy this season.

Real Madrid performance doesn’t look a team that will win the La Liga title this season, due to how their performance is going. They have not been consistently winning their matches as they suppose to in La Liga this season, while Barcelona get back to fit after losing the top spot, they are now back with full strength, and ready to beat any team that comes their way in La Liga currently.

Definitely, it would be lovely to see both Trent Alexander Arnold and Dani Carvarjal in Madrid. As this would surely bring more depth and quality to the Real Madrid defense line. Given Trent Alexander Arnold versatility, he would relieve Ancelotti in opting for a non natural defender playing in the defense. And given the tough set of fixtures coming their way including the Classico it would be interesting to watch TAA in action.

Honestly, I would love for TAA to be able to come to Madrid, however, since the consolidation of having a great defense is a fact , it all depends on whether the player will say yes or no to Madrid. Personally, I think it would be crazy to say no, but there have been cases, and I hope that is not the case with TAA.

I just start to think, it would be crazy to say no to Madrid , but there are players who have said no and it has gone well for them, although I think it could have Gone better for them if they had been at the white club.

Yeah, that's absolutely right. Barcelona is a strong candidate for winning a league title because this season they play so good. They won all of their crucial match like they defeated Real Madrid as well as Atlatico Madrid. And now on the top of the table with 3 points gap between 2nd position. It seems like no team could stop them from wining a league titles. Literally they are on fire.... Now there is only one match which I think can cause a little bit trouble for the Blugrana and that is El Clasico, but if told you the fact, it is obvious that Barcelona will win the El Clasico because they are more dominant than Real Madrid their attacking players are just hunger for the goal.

But anyway, let's see what happens next. Next moving on Barcelona will be facing Atlético Madrid in the domestic cup tomorrow, and Real Madrid are playing their match with Real Sociedad. Now let's see who came out to the final.

Beating Girona with a score of 4-1 was quite impressive as usual. And what's even more amazing is that Lewandowski managed to score 2 goals in this match.  With this, the position as top scorer in Laliga becomes stronger for Lewandowski. And it's amazing that he is older than other young players in La Liga, but he is still the most productive here. I think that's a great achievement.

It is true what Lewandowski said after the match about people talking about his age but he emphasized that his age is not a barrier and continues to fight as hard as he can showing that the results can be seen by all. So I think to end this season Lewa deserves to finish it but for next season his role could be different and more as a senior player who tries to give more space to the young players.

Lewandowski is that kind of player that ages well in productivity, hes having his best barca season so far and hopefully he finishes off with the Pichichi as well.
I do not actually see Mbappe closing in unless he goes on a goal rampage lets say like 2 sets of hatricks before the end of the season and its actually something he is capable off. The attacks of Madrid would have beaten his numbers if only they had this current coordination from onset.

Real Sociedad gas once again humble real Madrid by scoring an additional goal with an aggregate of 4-3, I have stress this before that Real Madrid has only been managing the league and try to act tough. The way Mbape score that wana be goal free kick that help them win Leganes, one will think they are better than what they are playing today but the truth is, they are not any way better just jump from one place to another and try their best with cup cake performance.

If they had maintain the 3-3 draw goals, the match would have been finish but the extra 90 minutes goal has extented the match with Real Sociedad and as it's, only God can save them because Sociedad came prepare today, they want to qualify for the next stage even if though it look so tough for them. Endrick that has always been crying of not given full time to play is busy jumping in his place, this team is just confused in my opinion.

Madrid is not good at defending in any gamer, their aim is to keep scoring goals. I wonder how they have been able to win other matches after breaking a sweat. With the way things are going i am smelling defeat on Real Madrid. It seems they will be losing this game during the extra time.

I actually wanted Real Madrid to be eliminated after they conceded 2 goals in less than 10 minutes in think, but again they turned it around and scored 2 goals in less than 5 minutes. Seriously, the last three goals Real Madrid conceded were defensive error, makes me wonder if Alaba is actually a good pair with Asencio, I doubt. Vini is really a footballer, I enjoy him when his with the ball, Madrid's 2nd and 3rd goal was something insane from him. Again, the way Kubo Take is really using Camavinga is something else.

A really entertaining match between Madrid and Sociedad. They exchanged goals until it finally had to be continued into extra time. Alaba contributed 2 goals for the opponent, but with the entry of Rudiger it was the final answer that the match did not continue to a penalty shootout. In my opinion, this was a very exciting match because both teams played with all their strength.

I can't agree less, the defence was so porous in the game especially the two CB's I don't know if it's because it's Alaba that was paired with Asencio. I think Asencio understands Rudiger better and when they play you see the best of Asencio. The game came alive to me in the second half, because that's when the game became interesting especially. When Real Sociedad scored those two goals to make it 3 - 1 and Real Madrid responded with their own two goals shortly after. I really enjoyed the game. Real Madrid only wakes up when they start losing. I just love how the opponent drew them to their limits. The sad part is that they 120 minutes and it will surely tell on them.

Real Madrid will always make their way to finals even in the hardest and toughest matches, they don't joke with reaching finals. Real Sociedad acted like they are up to something dramatic when they entered into the second half, but the substitute Rudiger, restored his team's spirit and scored the winning goal in the 115th minute of the extra time and Madrid is through to the final awaiting who will win between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid tomorrow. Mbappe wasn't able to record his name in the score sheet maybe due to how tensed the match was, but his teammates jointly scored the goals, and they became victorious. If Real Sociedad was able to hold the game without conceding, the match could have been determined by penalty shoot outs which they could have probably won but it's sad to see that Real Sociedad were knocked out and the game did not enter penalty shoot outs again.

Real Madrid's defense is really bad. Luckily, their attackers were able to maximize many chances to score 4 goals in that match, where they also almost lost, luckily there was 1 late goal by Rudiger in the 115th minute. If not, they might have had a penalty shootout because the aggregate was the same.

Back to Real Madrid's defense, even a class of Real Sociedad attackers who are quite bad this season were able to score 3 goals + 1 OG. This shows that their defense is very bad, and often concedes goals, Real Madrid's defenders have indeed declined greatly since some of their top key defenders were injured.

Just look at the following player ratings, almost their entire back line is rated very badly, only Alaba played quite well, while their front line, on the other hand, was very awesome.

It's looking like we are going to have an El Clásico Spanish Kings cup Final. This is every Spanish league fan's dream, and it would be an icing on the cake if the same happened in the Champion's league final.

Real Madrid's fragility in the defense almost costed them the bragging rights in the finals. I do hope Barcelona come through tomorrow at the Wanda Metropolitano. I am so feed up for the Real Madrid/Atletico Madrid ties. An El Clásico is all that we need.

It all began with the loss against Getafe and then it became worse and worse for them with the game they lost against Real Madrid when that double touch penalty was revoked. Since then they couldn't become stable again. Getting kicked out of the Champions League, then lose the game against Barcelona and now tie the game against Espanyol. This has been a very bad month of March for them and there isn't much to play for now besides the Copa.

Technically, they “beat” Real Madrid at fully time. Only just got eliminated through penalties. 

I would say they are suffering a problem of maybe player fatigue or even lack of player confidence after those recent losses. I don't know if they can pick up yet again, but this would require their closed opponents to slump in form, which I see not happening. This business time in the league for most teams.

Yes but I think when a penalty like that leads to Champions League elimination, it can totally change the whole state of a team. Of course there is all the talk about those players being professionals and how they should be able to handle losses in their career, but Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid have quite a long history in the Champions League with Atletico Madrid going through massive disappointing losses. That rivalry has been going on for quite some time now and Atletico Madrid was the team that normally got kicked out or has been beaten in final games in brutal ways. This penalty marked a new level of disappointment and it felt unfair even though I am not an Atletico Madrid fan.

That is why I think fatigue wasn't a problem as long as they were about to beat Real Madrid in the Champions League. The problem is whether it changes anything if they pick up their pace again. Even if they do, Barcelona won't lose many games.

I don't understand the formula you are using the calculate this but to me that is not too safe because you never can tell if Real Madrid will be able to close that wide goal advantage that Barcelona is enjoying now which may be what you are basing your analysis on. Don't forget that Real Madrid have serious players that are hungry for goals and will not spare any effort to find the net every other match. Barcelona winning the league depends on how they will avoid losing any match and getting any draw.
