We need a movie about Bitcoin

I did not find a full movie that hosted by a popular Holywood actress or maybe actor but I have seen many video thrilling regarding bitcoin.
One of them is bitcoin heist on Netflix but now when I do browsing on it it seems they are deleted. Good idea that bitcoin will become the main concept of a story in a movie and I guess it may help to promote Bitcoin as well. There is a small problem I guess because there are some countries that prohibit bitcoin. Nevertheless, I found this article that contains 13's short videos regarding bitcoin while I am browsing.

We already have some shows depicting the bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies in a bad way. , A movie that too saying something good about cryptocurrencies is something that needs to be funded , I think it could be beneficial but the funding part is where it sucks because most of the directors and the political leaders always consider bitcoins black money , or something they don't wanna involve with therefore we cannot actually use the existing industry to make something reasonable.

Bitcoin Heist is a movie you can watch but I do not think many people watched it and it had much popularity. The actor and actress were not much recognized.

Yeah because the movie don’t have enough advertising at all and aside from crypto wasn’t recognized worldwide  thats why the movie don’t even get a return of investments from the maker but this is one good movie if we are looking for some bitcoin references

A Hollywood movie will do the job with some A graded actors. Thing is that do they have any producer/writer who is interested in Bitcoin?

Unless whales will provide for this A grade movie with popular actors and actresses then we won’t see good outcome for this.but looking forward to one good movie to promote not only bitcoin but the whole cryptocurrency as well

While a movie (if it turns out to be a super-hit one) will give great exposure and perhaps a motive to the audience to be involve with it but I am seeing Bitcoin is getting good exposure.

For example sportsbet.io sponsored Watford FC. The major payment method for sportsber.io is bitcoin. Other day I have seen 1xbet accept Bitcoin payment. So, we are not doing bad at all.

Give it few more years, may be next 10+ years, we will see Bitcoin adoption will become huge.

I remember four years ago when a project was launched asking to get funded through ICO, the team were asking to get funded so they can create a movie about Bitcoin which will star prominent actors and actresses, but the project was a big failure because they cannot present their identity and their credentials in making a movie, they cannot even present their past movie projects.

Now it's 2019 and so many things happen in Cryptocurrency, the news is everywhere and it becomes very popular on four corners of the world.
Don't you think these big production company like Warner Bros, Universal and Netflix should do a movie about Bitcoin?

Not really a documentary, but any kind of genre, like action, horror, comedy I think if the story and the plot is good, it could make a box office

I dont know if the documentation about bitcoin on netflix is now available or still available I am not sure but I already read about this kind of documentation about bitcoin on netflix.

Having a movie about bitcoin is a good idea to expose and spread the idea about bitcoin,so that many people will understand well if what bitcoin is and why it is important and valuable in our generation. If the movie shows about blockchain and technology which used in bitcoin, I think people will understand how bitcoin works. But the problem is the actor and actress that become star character of bitcoin movie. People will only view the movie if they know that the main character is a famous actor or actress.

I would imagine it to be something like new Matrix movie,
but nobody would agree on identity of Satoshi in the movie...  
someone should also include Faketoshi Craig Wrong as a bad guy role

Fantasy scenario would be regarding Satoshi identity, and all the rest should be truthful, as much as possible

It should be more sci-fi and action. People today really loves to watch Science fiction and I think Bitcoin will really fit on this movie genre. A movie where the protagonist finding the lost Bitcoin and he should crack the codes to find the clues of satoshi to discover the huge amount of Bitcoin.

If you're thinking about the future of bitcoin, you'll come up to this kind of storyline. 
I also wanted to expose bitcoin and the technology itself which is blockchain so people can familiarize what it's purpose on the present.

There really should be a real movie about Bitcoin. Crypto is not a real movie. It's a shit movie meant to launch itself on its popularity but to show it as a money laundering tool and dirty money of the Internet hackers.

Movies like that aren't really about cryptocurrencies or Bitcoin. They are made by mainstream authors who don't know much about it for the mainstream audience who knows as much as the media allow them to.

This is the part of the unseriousness of altcoins that I have seen, If I am to judge by the number of campaigns I have done coming from entertainment industries, by now, we should have so many movies flooding the market about cryptocurrency, when I do my research about some projects that has to do with entertainment especially in the movie industry, I see a big prospect in them, but they end up not following up with it and then scamming people.

We have some very few movies though, that has been acted based on cryptocurrency, but they are still very few and like you said, we needs movies that are more of quality and would be able to be bought by companies like Netflix and some other great movie companies that we have in the world.

I actually saw an episode an episode on The Blacklist where the kidnappers got someone and told the family of the kidnapped to send the money in bitcoins due to the fact that they can't be tracked. But with the misconception out there with the negativity of bitcoins, i think that a documentary will be a very good idea so that it sheds some light on cryptos for the masses and not what the media has been feeding them.

I don't think Hollywood has what it takes to make a decent movie about the theme of Bitcoin and crypto without derailing into cliche tasteless action flick.
It would be too much to cram into a 90-minute show.

Now a Netflix (non-documental) action series on the overall theme of cryptocurrencies, that would be something else.

Lots of possibilities. Mysterious creators, enormous portable and untraceable wealth that can fit in your pocket, exotic locations, multiple government agencies competing against each other, rogue state actors, the effects of unknown technology, disruption of financial system, personal tragedy, human greed and ambition. Not even touching ICOs and many other topics

There's a lot of documentary short film movie but I think that is good for promotion if something in a company in movie maker. If there is, I think that is a good chance that bitcoin will have exposure to those who will not know bitcoin. But I think, even in social medias bitcoin as of now has a great promotion. But we still need if there is a director to make a movie and bitcoin will have the main focus not only in one scene.

There's this movie containing some B-list actors again making Bitcoin seem like some nefarious tool used only by hackers and criminals.

Of course the movie completely flopped in theatres and got a palty score of 5.6 on IMDB.

I want to see a movie showing the future that cryptocurrency could bring!

It is really possible, The Purpose of movie should be aware the people about bitcoin. In the movie there would be the more focus on blockchain and the technology itself. People will be unfamiliar about bitcoin and after watching movie they will try to find about it.

Film is a good medium for introducing bitcoin to the outside world. but we need a good idea about the film so that it is desirable to watch, not only introducing bitcoin but also as an enjoyable spectacle. we need producers and directors who are reliable in their fields. but who will pay and make the story?
