We need a movie about Bitcoin

what genre will bring by the movie? and im not sure if people knocked after watch that film, or their knowledge will expanse after know about it. and target market point to crypto user, which is not all people know and understand about it. not only for entertainment, but need to make money, so they will produce film if lot of people watching there.

There already has been a movie made on cryptocurrency.
Where a guy works in a big firm and gets to know about cryptocurrencies by a shopkeeper who started using bitcoin told the guy "it's the future"
Where this guy worked in a huge firm and his father was a farmer.

In any case, i wasn't able to watch the full film because it started well then became boring so I stopped watching I don't even remember the name of this film..

It will be really good to have a movie that is focused on bitcoin. And if it will A list actors on it with good directors and a good story, then it’s going to go a long way in promoting in bitcoin. They can just write a story on bitcoin, maybe something that has to do with action, like people going to retrieve bitcoin keys that is lost or something like that. Just like this old movie that’s called Tomb Raider that features Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft, and another movie is Money Heist that is featured on Netflix .
All those movies are really interesting. So imagine a movie like that is focused on bitcoin, and then it eventually blows up and selling in high numbers, that’s going to push bitcoin to a really high level.

I would rather see a Bitcoin movie that promotes positivity rather than those movies who are using or referencing BTC for crimes, theft, violence, money laundering, etc. There’s one existing movie called “Crypto” starring Russell Crowe and I don’t like it to be honest as it promotes crypto in a bad way. A Bitcoin documentary promoting positivity about this coin should be also great!

It was quite bad and it all involved the crime of transferring crypto so to defraud an individual, which to me was a turn off and had to force myself to watch the rest of it. So sat there for the next hour and a bit just switching off my brain and tried to enjoy it for what it was.
And that was an offering to the genre.
That's all it was and had no substance behind to spur on any attention for anyone wanting to get into cryptocurrency.
It actually might sway them away from using it in the future with the bad light they put on the use to this innovation of the future.

Now one film which was a better depiction of how cryptocurreny is viewed was Silk Road.
With the subject matter atoning to a real life story (of course not completely true to fact as it is a hollywood product) to the creation of the site and the beginnings of Ross Ulbricht a past forum member known as the Dread Pirate Roberts.

if it can happen of course I will support it. but I think it might not be as booming as other movies because not everyone can and understand about bitcoin. I mean people will probably tend to watch other films that really fit the genre they want with a light plot and concept. It's not that I don't believe in and have no interest in supporting a film about bitcoin, but i think to become a popular film it's a slim possibility.

I think in this era we have a lot of shot clip showing and telling more about Bitcoin and what it entails. But it will be good to have a Nollywood/Hollywood  in this place that can show some of the exciting facts about bitcoin in movies.

Why giant companies like Tesla, MicroStrategy are motivated to invest huge amounts of money in Bitcoin, how they have made a profit from it, should also be included in the movie. In some countries there has been a continuous lockdown for almost a year, I think this incident was a tragedy for them. Bitcoin was the only source of livelihood for thousands of unemployed people during the long lockdown in Covid-19. It doesn't take long for a movie to become a blockbuster with all this content. It is true that the negative side is propagated more, the positive side is hidden by everyone.

They are greed not to share their success, maybe?  or the producers who created those films and documentaries about Bitcoin are more focus with the negative side of this industry. They think that people are more interested in the negative sides compared to positive side. Just the same with bringing the news, it's more often to see headlines when there's a scam or any crimes that drag bitcoin.

This news is easily being published but this success from people and businesses who use this system to earn are not being broadcast or if ever it's just a small portion and nothing else.

a great Idea if it can be done, then many people will be know about bitcoin. although the development of bitcoin is good but also many people don't know about bitcoin and are afraid to invest bitcoin . maybe this way can make people understand more about crypto world if packed with the good concept. anything related to the crypto world should be supported so that crypto continues to grow and provide many benefits.

A comedy movie involving bitcoin would be interesting to decrease the tension created around it always connecting the crypto currency to illegal schemes, criminals and a lot of negativity. So I think a movie showing someone changing his life for the better thanks to bitcoin would look great and inspire many people to see bitcoin in a fresh way. If possible, it should be a comedy movie with the same vibe 90's and early 2000's had. I mean, a very funny spontaneous plot, without any political agendas like the infamous political correctness on it.

I agree if there will be a movie about bitcoin. If you can't fully explain bitcoin, at least just introduce to the world community about bitcoin. Plus if the actors are world famous actors like Dwayne Johnson, and John Statam, I think it will be a very interesting spectacle..!!

Bitcoin is something you can read on your own and understand it fully without watching anything like movies but for better understanding you can watch and understand one time without much difficulty of it, actually it's easier for someone to go through article writing that will elaborate more of bitcoin. But get people attention very well, i will like to support the ideas above that comedians can use bitcoin to crack joke in order to get the attention of both small man and big man in society. and that will get bitcoin more influential populated than others method of making it known.

Generally speaking, only Bitcoin lovers would pay to see this, I don't mean to offend or attack anyone but a full movie all about Bitcoin is going to be boring, it's not suitable for all ages and I really think that Bitcoin alone is too general and that Bitcoin alone is not enough to make for a movie, a documentary or a series I guess would at least be better and entertaining since we all know that Bitcoin is evolving along with Technology and the market itself.

I know there are movies, series, docu-series out there but these movies really did not make much of an impact didn't they? Probably in the future.

We already have some shows depicting the bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies in a bad way. , A movie that too saying something good about cryptocurrencies is something that needs to be funded , I think it could be beneficial but the funding part is where it sucks because most of the directors and the political leaders always consider bitcoins black money , or something they don't wanna involve with therefore we cannot actually use the existing industry to make something reasonable.

Exactly and that was what I am thinking, I have seen different movies featuring bitcoin in a short clip, and maybe those directors on the movie are also crypto enthusiasts. If there are few of them who promote bitcoin through movies, the chances of spreading awareness in bitcoin will increase, and have a chance that the adoption will increase too.

But it depends on the content of the movie because there are some movies that the content towards bitcoin gives a bad image on it.
I just like the entire concept of the movie is that all about bitcoin and bringing good deeds to the people, not the bad ones. Sometimes I saw they mentioned bitcoin in movies but to pay to kidnap ransoms or illegal activities.

I admit there are still many people who do not know Bitcoin, maybe many people have heard of Bitcoin, but they still don't understand Bitcoin.

My question is that why do we need a movie on bitcoin? For awareness, there can be some documentary on bitcoin but i don't think movies have anything to do with bitcoins.
What will they show in the movie? A trader gets millionaire by trading crypto currencies. It will create unrealistic hopes for those who want to trade or invest in this.

There are many movies talking about Bitcoin and there will always be more. But if you want it to become more popular, you need more in the World. In Germany, banks will probably accept Bitcoin in 2022, there is good advertising.

I remember four years ago when a project was launched asking to get funded through ICO, the team were asking to get funded so they can create a movie about Bitcoin which will star prominent actors and actresses, but the project was a big failure because they cannot present their identity and their credentials in making a movie, they cannot even present their past movie projects.

Now it's 2019 and so many things happen in Cryptocurrency, the news is everywhere and it becomes very popular on four corners of the world.
Don't you think these big production company like Warner Bros, Universal and Netflix should do a movie about Bitcoin?

Most people are naturally lazy. This is due to the structure of our brain and energy conservation. I do not want to go into the subtlety of this now. My point is that people rarely want to learn something new, for example, through books. Information conveyed through films will attract more audience than through text. Therefore, I believe that a film about Bitcoin can be useful for telling the world about it. But I am firmly convinced that this should be done efficiently. For example, in a similar style as "The Big Short" movie. That is, it should be both entertaining and explain in detail about Bitcoin in an accessible language for the general public. I also think that in the film it will not be necessary to overload newcomers too much with technical details. Special attention can be paid to different stories, both funny and sad, as they fill the crypto community with life. I'm talking about great examples like Silk Road, Pizza Day, or Hodl.

It is also important that the creators are consulted by evangelists like Antonopoulos and they can be included in the filming.

To realize all this first-class, need serious production and talented people who want to show Bitcoin from the right angle, and not as a hype topic.

There we documentaries and videos created about Bitcoin before. Most of them could still be found in Youtube. However, a new movie about Bitcoin could really be a great way to promote it. It will definitely serve as an eye-opener for most people who will watch it. It will take a lot of time, money and effort but it will surely bring a big impact in the blockchain technology.
