Altcoins to go crazy again once Bitcoin reaches 20k?

Bitcoin is the most popular crypto coin and the leader of crypto market. Typically, most altcoins will follow bitcoin both up and down. Therefore, once bitcoin goes back to its old highs of $20K and beyond, it should kick start a rally in most altcoins too. Many altcoins will make new highs while some others may not.

You're right. This market is heavily dependent on the value of Bitcoin so hopefully this coin can return to $20,000 again in 2020. I think now some of the top 100 coins are at The price is very suitable for investing and before you invest, you should plan to manage the property in the best way. This year Bitcoin is seeing a very high price improvement and will maintain this increase until it reaches a new high.

Of course this is just my personal prediction and everything depends very much on the investment needs so I hope that everything will go smoothly in the future.

Bitcoin's dominance is very high and if Bitcoin starts to rise to $20k, the dominance will increase even more, so it is unlikely that alts will start to grow very much up and go crazy

That was not the case last December 2017, btc had its ATH that time but altcoins followed and they even are more profitable than bitcoin.
If the same trend will happen, we will see bitcoin dominance to decrease and altcoins to increase.

I would rather see that because it give balance growth to the market, if bitcoin dominance keep growing, altcoins will die and I don't think it would happen because altcoins also have a future, its part of the market and they are currently oversold, therefore my prediction would be an increase of altcoins will result to bitcoin's dominance.

I would really like to see altcoins going up in value as well but we must admit that after years of putting billions of dollars in thousands of projects the results have not been what we had expected, investors have realized this and they are thinking to themselves why we should support all of those coins that makes so many promises and then when the time comes to fulfil those promises they don't? So investors are preferring to invest in bitcoin and are not putting attention to altcoins anymore.

I don't think so. The altcoin season will usually cause all coins to grow and continually reach new highs when that happens. Currently, the bear market is still in a downtrend and there are not many signs of an upcoming recovery so the rise of altcoin prices often happens random. This time should still be more careful and should only choose to invest when the market has great improvement.

The above user definitely dont understand or study how the crypto market chooses the trend it pose because altcoin market are highly manipulated and the altcoin pump trend which he seems to believe to be altcoin season are the season when arbitrage traders switch to altcoin while the stance of the whole crypto market is determined by the bitcoin block halving season.

there may be some alts who have their own season but the overall alt is influenced by bitcoin movements. it could be that the alt you see, maybe just released a good development update from the team.

You are missing the point of what an altcoin season actually means, when people talk about an altcoin season what they mean is that most altcoins in the market are going up in value, it is obvious that when there are thousands of coins in the market there are going to be a few isolated cases of coins going up in value faster than bitcoin, and while I am glad for anyone that is invested in those coins and it is obtaining profits that is not an altcoin season at all.

We can totally see that when bitcoin grew to $ 20k suddenly. everything will happen as quickly as the last months of 2017 and will gradually fade away like 2018. and I believe that things will not happen so quickly in the future. everything needs to be stable and grow slowly because investors are now more experienced and the whales are no longer able to manipulate like they used to be.

I don't think so. Whales are currently in control of this market and they can change the value of any coin if they wish. Crypto market is in a very bad stage and the recent manipulation has made a lot of investors lose. In my opinion, it will take more time for altcoin to stabilize and it is best to consider carefully before making an investment decision.

Personally, I will only spend 10% of my assets investing in altcoin and will patiently wait for the next market trend because if the market is like 2018, it will be very difficult for investors to make money.

For me, altcoin season will be very unpredictable and it is impossible to know when that will happen. I think this year the bear market is still overwhelming the crypto market and causing a lot of investors' losses so surely the psychology of people is very scared during this time. The best advice now is to be patient or buy some big coins like ETH, LTC, BNB for long term investment as these are the best options in the market.

Previous ATH prices were higher than their average value due to the HYPE by the ICO investors but the HYPE will not repeat the last cycle, from my understanding.In fact, the bearish market is going to destroy the already dead altcoins one more time.   Investing in the altcoin has several consequences in a bear market and everyone should be patient to wait for the right time-bullrun.

But that is the issue everyone is expecting that as soon as bitcoin hits some arbitrary level altcoins are going to wake up and will begin to move what crazy, but it doesn't make sense if bitcoin is going up to the point to reach a new all time high you can be sure that investors are not going to want to exchange their bitcoins for altcoins, the altcoin market needs to come back to life on its own and the only way to do that is with good projects, something that we have not seen in a very long time.
