Extra weeks added to bounty campaign

I've come to understand how new projects play their tricks with fund raising and bounty rewards, any bounty that has low weeks like a month are the best, they never failed me once and those who add extra weeks means they have a problem and that's soft cap, they just extend the bounty for nothing sake

Extra weeks on bounties are nothing new in this forum, almost all of them when ICO sales have not reached the target the team took that step for the continuity of the project.
Now it depends on each individual if there are additional weeks we are required to keep working on the project, if not then the old weekly stake will disappear then I personally will continue to follow these rules.

i have experienced that one, i have participated a bounty campaign and they added extra weeks but at the end it didn't go well at the end because they didn't pay us at the end of the campaign and that was the worst one.

I think bounty extention up to 8 more weeks is your advantage as hunter because all we know that if bounty will extend you are the one who have benefits becauae you can earn with extention also. And if you are promoting a good campaign, I think you wish it will extend for a year.

I have participated in a number of projects that experienced an additional duration of several weeks. But this happened around 2017. And at that time almost all who received extraweek succeeded in the project. For now, I suggest you check beforehand how many sales the project has received. If it is large, I suggest you continue to follow. If it's small, you have to think about it because you don't want to waste your time later

Just like you I have been also experience to participate in several bounty campaigns that used to extend the duration of their sales and yeah some of it became succeed somehow. However, before you take and proceed in extended week make sure that you'll get an enough reward but if not then leave it because just like you what you have mentioned it will be just a waste of time.

Indeed, for the expansion of the bounty campaign, it's not a strange thing for everyone here, it happens very often when the projects get into issues like failing to achieve softcap or implementation plans being delayed, forced to take long to complete and when projects fall into such a situation, we may need to consider for continued engagement. Because from my experience, these projects will soon become dead projects, continuing to participate in bounty only takes us a lot more time, a lot of people don't want to give up and they didn't get anything from the project except sorry

That is if there is an increase in the allocation of the bounty and that is also if the payment system is allocated fix every week. but if the staking system per week I think it would not be a profitable disadvantage because they have to work longer and it also receives an equal payment.

indeed there are many things that often happen like that but only a few projects have success rates, even though the bounty campaign program is extended but the projects offered are not very useful then no one is interested, for bounty campaigns that have an additional duration then there should also be tolerance in the form of being willing or not and there must be no coercion.

Really it will sad news for all bounty hunters  when bounty campaign has extended few more weeks but we don't understand that why they are extending the bounty campaign because some time the ico or ieo did not reach the target of funds to launch their project or it will be scam projects so better is we check the ICO or IEO rating and team members before going to promote any bounty campaigns.

Depends on how quality the project is, there was a time I was promoting a project for 10 weeks and they suddenly added another 10 weeks, it wasn't funny at all because I had a good project I wanted to join so I messaged the Bounty Manager and begged him to save my stakes so that I can exit the campaign, the BM agreed and I left the campaign with my stakes intact, but if I didn't have another good campaign I wanted to join at that moment, I would have continued with that particular one.

8 weeks is not much for a bounty company, although I agree with you that any unauthorized extension spoils the mood. In the past there were companies that extended for half a year, and after that did not pay anything.
Therefore, I always try to leave the company if it was extended and there is the opportunity to exit without losing the work done.

I don't think it's very unusual. Some good project run for almost half a year. The project team does that to maximize their token sale so that they can raise enough funds for future development.

i guess you are lucky to get a good BM like that, because normally BM doesn't care about that at all and stakes won't be credited. but apart from the extra weeks there is at least a strong reason there, and as long as those reasons still make sense i don't think it's a problem and still to continue the campaign to the end

Its no issue if the fundraising sales is still ongoing on exchange, this can make the team extend the bounty period until the ICO/IEO is over, not all bounty projects that got extended are crap like many said on here

But that little proves that the bounties that extend their periods indicate they have failed because the targets they have set are not reached on time. there is also the possibility that their team will not work seriously so it will be difficult to achieve their sales targets in bringing in investors.

In 2018 it happened to a number of projects who extended their ICO timing and so also increased the bounty campaigns time period it was because in that year during the ICO many projects faced the timing where any bad news dumped the market and in that market the investors often do not invest but after that it became the normal thing for the projects that if they not achieved the target then they increase the time of ICO and bounty campaign which I think have to end up as I also favor you that many of them meet that result because of the bad result and that bad result comes because of the weaknesses of the developers.

As a bounty hunter I'd say that having an additional week to the campaign makes the bounty unsuccessful and probably a flop one. And I guess I might be considering that thing as a project that does not comply with their words. Because if they do, they should have been stopping the bounty and still paying those who participated.

If the compensation received in the bounty is in weekly basis, it will be the best to continue. But if the condition is that you'll get compensated in the end of the period, better to check the status of the project. If the project has continuous growth of investments, it will be good to continue. But if there are issues circling about the project, it might be the best to reassess if it still worth it. Also, check the threads for scam accusations to help determine the best possible strategy in your case.

It became a good project but the devs suck and didn't pay me tho. It's not that it's an advisable thing to promote a project that is going to extend for more weeks, it is better to check up on their sales or check if there is any updates that you may think they are still doing well. If you think they're not going anywhere with those, you can just leave especially in this type of market.

Do you mean those projects that currently extend the bounty program or for all the time?In today's situation, I can assure you that many bounty companies are increasing the timing of the event.Here is a project that holds bounty for about 1 year and still continues.I don't know whether this project will be successful or not:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4631900.0
