Update to my earlier trouble with finding the "sweet spot". Went back and re-read gateway/MrTeal published methods of overclock/overvolt and wound up both boards at .995v/950MHz.

Man those numbers are fantastic. I can't wait to get my hands on these boards. What are you using for cooling? Ambient temp?

Nepton 280 w/ 1 stock fan and 1 upgraded 125cfm screamer fan. Tons of air blowing on boards. 75F or under ambient for 99-100C. 102-103.5C at 85F ambient.

Have received my 2 Habanero boards. Tried to fit the Corsair H100i and it seems the 115x stand offs are too high. The CPU block has about 5mm of space to move up and down. The LGA2011 stand off did the trick but had to source 4 separate 4mm nuts to screw it down. Still to be tested. While I was sourcing the 4mm nuts, I also started setting up the XSPC Water Cooling Kit for the 2nd board. More pics can be found here: http://imgur.com/a/SMBJPWhile I have both boards ready with water coolers installed and powered up, I keep getting the following errors on cgminer: [2014-06-10 23:21:10] Hashfast detect (2:17) failed to initialise (incorrect device?) [2014-06-10 23:21:15] USB init, open device failed, err -3, you don't have privilege to access - HFA device 2:17-i1 ha and it just occurred to me that I didn't run cgminer with sudo .. this may be the cause of my errors.. will attempt to run again later tonight after work. Silly me. Back to work i guess, QG Very nice, im curious to see what you can get out of the boards, just be gentle with them since the dies are fragile. One thing you mentioned is the cgm issue, its important to on unix boxes to follow the directions on the git depo search for the key word LINUX: on this page or follow these commands sudo usermod -G plugdev -a `whoami` If your distro doesnt have plugdev do this lastly its important to copy the cgminer udev rules over, once done its probably a good idea to reboot. sudo cp 01-cgminer.rules /etc/udev/rules.d/ after doing this you shouldn't have to run cgminer with sudo I am getting the same thing when trying to run more than one miner on Windows 7. Any answer for that? It zombies out when I try 2,3 or 4 Hashfast miners. The only device 0 runs. I got them all running when I restarted the PC, but then they three of the four zombied out after 2 minutes.

I did quite a bit more tweaking and now with just 2 monster fans on the radiator blowing over the board I am getting ~650 GH/S at 875mhz. Temps are 80/80/85/78 At 900mhz the board starts flaking out without a voltage tweak. I have no Linux... so I think I'll let things sit as they are for a while. Thanks to all who gave me pushes in the right direction.

How much should I expect to spend on the power supply(s) and cooling solutions for one of these boards ?
I'd budget 200 bucks for a base level PSU and water cooler. Sky is the limit from there. I'd say this is a conservative estimate. You're probably going to want at least an 80+ Gold PSU ~800w which will give you ~85% efficiency and will cost you ~$90-130. Then, you're probably going to want a decent water cooling system with double radiator and two 120 fans and will cost you ~$110-130. While you may get away with the bare minimums as far as cooling and power are concerned, I strongly advise that you acquire my minimum recommendations. They may cost you about 25% more than just the bare minimums, but they will save you money and headaches in the future. Do you really want to be stuck with just enough power output and then there's a firmware update that can increase hashing power by 15%, but you don't have the juice to squeeze it out of the board? Not only this, but high heat on the dies 24/7 will only decrease their lifespan and max load on the PSU will only cause it to burn out faster and may cause damage to the boards, not to mention cost you more in electricity. You can never have too much power and cooling available.

It might be best to use a PC PSU which has all the assorted connectors though. Some coolers require a sata power connector. And if you want to run more fans molex can come in handy. So maybe closer to 300 is better.

(almost 2$ gh/s) I don't understand why it would good to buy those in terms or ROI. 1$ for 1 gh/s and this would be awesome ! Otherwise great project !

Look at the server PSU's from sidehack. Just bought 2 for $120 shipped. They are 91% efficient or more and 750w PSU's.

With that equipment you can probably push up to 700+ GH/s if you want to up the voltage. You need a Linux box though.
