We got each other week one and I can't Decide between Monty and Herbert.
Montgomery of course. You should have drafted more Detroit players, the team will be brilliant this year I keep hearing. Going up against some obscure Missouri team in week 1, easy.

Great draft everyone, lots of fun! We got each other week one and I can't Decide between Monty and Herbert.

Herbert is in a bit of a committee too, but I expect him to get more carries than anyone else.

Terry McLaurin would be an absolute star top 5 receiver in the league if he had one of these great qbs throwing to him. Dude is a monster was on my board but it just didn't fall right to scoop him up. All dependent on how Howell is as his new full time starting qb.

It would be if it wasn't a committee back field for both teams unlike them vikings which is an easy choice. And yeah, I thought I would roll with Goff as a last resort because I didn't think anyone would target him. Theres so many gaslit people that think he's garbage because LA used him as a scapegoat even though he took them to a Superbowl. You need to get better blockers my friend! Yeah injuries are hell on a team, Kittle is injured and if didnt work out where I grabbed Hock I would have grabbed him again as I do every year and just stream guys when hes hurt. Great draft everyone, lots of fun! We got each other week one and I can't Decide between Monty and Herbert.

I almost want Mostert to come up gimp for week one so I'm forced to play both! {snip}

Dude is a monster was on my board but it just didn't fall right to scoop him up. All dependent on how Howell is as his new full time starting qb. I have flash backs to Julio Jones turf toe issue that made me back off from Scary Terry this year. I did target Jahan Dotson though. *Just checked and yup I managed to snag him. I don't dislike my team at all this year! Never really expected to land JJettas at 1.03 or CeeDee Lamb at 2.10. Out of 20ish mock drafts completed not once did i have the chance to draft either one. I'm also banking on Todd Monken and the Ravens offense with Lamar and Andrews stack, expect them to be a top 5-8 offense. Very thin on RBs but who cares about RBs anymore?...certainly not NFL GMs. Rest of the teams i dig ChiBitCTy and Mr's Mind-Blowing Team (whom i have to face in Week 1; Allen/Chase/Adams vs. Lamar/Jefferson/Lamb). I think you are not giving RBs there due, RB's and Running Qb's will win this league. I'm going to be real interested to see how Yahoo does with Drafting Hurts in the Second round! I snaked him in the 5th last year IIRC and was really happy with that score but I wasn't going to even consider any QB before the end of the third. I think he likes to gamble seeing a few of those guys that have high upside but massive floors as well! AFA CHi's team, I really like His Chubb/Stevenson picks as I was going to grab either one of them for my 1/2 and he snagged Allen right when I had him next on my que dammit.

Everyone was snagging all the good wide receivers and running backs so I decided to snag a decent qb before they were all taken. I would have taken Burrow but with him being day to day I didn't want to risk him being out multiple weeks.
Oh shit if you had taken Burrows over Hurts we would have NEVER let you live that down!!!! You did make a QB run happen sooner and caused me to lose my train of thought and change tactics which ended up causing em to timeout and get Evans instead of Robinson so even though you didn't plan it your ripple had a huge butterfly effect!

We all got 1 or 2 really good players or players that had good stats last year, but that's not what's going to win. Who found the needles in the haystack is what's going to win. I took Hurts just because of the run attack over Burrows and his possible injuries. With the Eagles schedule this year, Burrows may have been the better pick. We will get a better picture over the next few weeks and should start to see some people looking for new players.

Remember that this is a PFFD league, Running QB's that get first downs put up more points than the run of the mill pocket passers. Wide outs like Diontae Johnson that couldn't get a touchdown to save their lives and only look good because they get all the targets show their true colors in PPFD format.

I saw some reports today that Kelce is still questionable because of his injured knee. Just a reminder for you @suchmoon. It's the opening game tomorrow!! You should consider to change to ur 2nd TE which is Everett to gain some points. I dont think that he will play in the opener. Of course its important to get a great start in this year season but I wouldn't risk one of the key players being out for the whole season because of an early game.

IMO Burrow is the second best QB on the planet, and I don't think it would have been that crazy to take him over Hurts. Sure Hurts provides more upside due to his rushing ability, but I'm not ready to crown him a star player yet until I see another year or two of proven passing ability. Burrow has more than proved that, as the most accurate passer in the league. Anways..1 day now to opening game !!!!

I personally would go with Herbert. It’s a close call though. As a Bears fan, I personally just don’t think David Montgomery is all that good. And yeah, I thought I would roll with Goff as a last resort because I didn't think anyone would target him.
Theres so many gaslit people that think he's garbage because LA used him as a scapegoat even though he took them to a Superbowl.
Just to be clear, I was being sarcastic... Lions will suck horribly, that's a safe bet any year. I saw some reports today that Kelce is still questionable because of his injured knee.
Great start to the season, congrats Hueristic on an easy win

Of course its important to get a great start in this year season but I wouldn't risk one of the key players being out for the whole season because of an early game. I agree Burrow is a top 3 QB IRL, just not in fantasy. IMO Burrow is the second best QB on the planet, and I don't think it would have been that crazy to take him over Hurts. Love your upside analysis on Hurts here though. Definitely agree as long as OC doesn't calls crap games. It will be fun watching him v/s NE defence, too bad NE's Offensive is horrible. Should be a lopsided match and my guess is low scoring as Eagles will not have to do much to win that one. I personally would go with Herbert. It’s a close call though. Just to be clear, I was being sarcastic... Lions will suck horribly, that's a safe bet any year. I'll take that bet.Specify your definition of sucking not horribly and the amount you're willing to lose on this Sucking horribly is definitely on the low side but I'll give you a break and make the terms not below 50%.

W-L 50%, so you're saying they'll have 8.5 wins or more? Ok, I'll bet on less than 8.5. How many bitcoins?

It seems I missed some of the post-draft fun but I suffered a power outage which was just resolved now, so I am just reading your posts.
This has to be the draft in which I had to improvise the most as barely anything went as planned from the very first pick, this is how the draft went from my perspective.
1st round pick. RB Austin Ekeler. ChiBitCTy with their first pick selected Chubb, from that moment on I knew I had to ad-lib during the whole draft, as whenever I was on the top 5 I could get Chubb without issue, now Ekeler is a good pick but that was sure a curve ball, at the time Kelce was still on the board but I care not about the TE position, demonstrated by the fact I picked one until the 14th pick and I would have done so with my last pick if there was not a rush for the K and the D positions early on the draft.
2nd round pick. RB Najee Harris. Another unexpected pick for me, I was hoping to pick Mixon here but suchmoon took away my possibility of doing so, if I remember correctly Harris had some issues with injuries and this could be my undoing as I did not really put enough attention to the injuries factor during this draft.
3rd round pick. RB Jahmyr Gibbs. This is a risk I took, Conner was on the board but I had problems last year with him due to injuries so I decided to ignore him and go for the rookie here.
4th round pick. WR DJ Moore. This is probably my worst pick on the draft, I was planning to pick Fields here while I was also watching Metcalf drop, so I was confident I could get one of those two here, but then suchmoon once again took Fields before I could, and then when I was complaining about it on the discord channel, yahoo, I think, got Metcalf too, after complaining again on the discord channel, I had little time to take a decision, a QB here other than Fields was not part of the plan so I had to take a WR, now TE Andrews was available but again I do not have too much appreciation for the TE position so I took DJ Moore here, which BTW was also the worst pick of last year's draft.
5th round pick. RB Miles Sanders. If I could not get Fields with the 4th pick then this was supposed to be the place I got a QB, however there was an early rush for QBs and the only QBs left which were worth a 5th in my mind were picked while I waited, at this point I had resigned myself to pick Kirk Cousins with the 9th pick and selected Sanders here which gave me good results last season.
6th round pick. WR Christian Watson. The WR position was getting very thin for my liking and I was tempted to draft QB Lawrence here, but since I had already changed my plans and wanted to pick a QB late on the draft I decided to go for a WR here, not the best pick as I will depend on Jordan Love not sucking for this pick to be worth it.
7th round pick. QB Trevor Lawrence. As the picks kept going I was surprised that Lawrence fell into my lap and I picked him as fast as I could, as even if Cousins is a decent QB I did not wanted to depend on him for my QB play.
8th round pick. RB Brian Robinson. I would have preferred Antonio Gibson here but had no luck at all, can only hope the guy wins the starting job and I can get a FLEX out of this.
9th round pick. WR Jerry Jeudy. I think this was a good pick here, for a 9th round pick I got a potential starter, he may not play during the first weeks and he seems to have some injury issues but I think it was worth to take him here.
10th round pick. WR Courtland Sutton. I made a mistake here, I was preparing myself to try to swing for the fences but I noticed I needed to make a not so bad pick on the 10th round, I think this was the pick in which I almost ran out of time as I was scrambling to find a good WR, and at the end I picked Sutton more than anything as insurance, assuming Russel Wilson does not suck then at least one of them has to have good numbers so I can just keep whoever has them and drop the other WR.
11th round pick. RB Jaylen Warren. After the disaster that was the 10th round pick, the draft choices being quicker as most of us were on uncharted territory and the discord channel getting busier, I could not help but to think of Najee Harris and his injury issues so I went and drafted his backup just in case.
12th round pick. WR Skyy Moore. My only legitimate attempt to swing for the fences, if the kid improves then he could at most become a FLEX, which is not bad for a 12th pick.
The 13th, 14th and the 15th were just the best player available and are not worth mentioning.

I question my decision on drafting Deshaun Watson instead of Trevor Lawrence for by qb1. I wish he is allowed his regular schedule of power massages before practice similar to when he was in Houston. It is good for the mind hehehe. Watson is a SERIOUS gamble and I would not play him until he proves himself.
Just a bit of advice. Why did you edit your post and scratched Massage Watson as a serious gamble? Did you get information making him a very lucky pick? I had the decision between Massage and Lawrence, however, why would the Browns make him one of the highest paid quarterbacks if he cannot perform as expected? They also accepted him despite the sexual molestation cases. Massage for MVP! It also appears Cooper Kupp this year will be something similar to Jonathan Taylor last year. Cooper Kupp's pesky hamstring issue seems to be getting more complicated by the week. First things first: Kupp will not play in Los Angeles' season opener against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, Rams coach Sean McVay announced WednesdaySource https://www.nfl.com/news/rams-wr-cooper-kupp-hamstring-out-for-week-1-vs-seahawks
