Since a few members (dkbit98, fillippone) expressed interest in how recent sig bans have affected local boards (and since I had some free time on my hands and was also curious) I went through list of sig banned users to identify how many sig banned users each local board has so far. As a timeframe to identify local board members, I took the last 120 days. Great work again mister R. Believe it or not this is almost exactly like I imagine stats to look like. I think we should be very careful with creating any other new local boards in future, we don't want another spam factory Maybe it's time to have some kind of rating for local boards, both positive and begative, based on DT status, activity, trust feedback, banned/sigbanned members, etc.

I'm interested in seeing the effect of sigbanned users on each board. The number of sigbanned users for each board is a start. It would be interesting to see how many posts and merits those users were involved in over the last few months. Run your reports again without including those users.
Ok I created a tool where it analyzes the activities of users who have received the sigban, counts the uid per board id, how many posts they have written, how many Merit received and how many Merit they have sent You can find it in brdb.cc/explore and then clicking on the sigban analysis tab I hope this is what you were talking about. You can choose a timeframe of 30 days, 120 days, or all time, but the latter will count towards approximately 31 million posts. I don't have all the history of Bitcointalk, about 45% so the count is only indicative on all time

That looks like something @*Ace* could do, but I can imagine causing extra drama. Ok I created a tool where it analyzes the activities of users who have received the sigban, counts the uid per board id, how many posts they have written, how many Merit received and how many Merit they have sent Yeah I think that's something that fillippone had in mind. Anyway, good job! I also see that your numbers are a little bit different from mine, as I didn't include one sig banned member who was spamming his translated crap across many local boards, since he wasn't really a member of any local board.

Very interesting research Rikafip, thanks for the effort. I don't think it's a surprise to anyone that most members with sigban come from Nigerian, Indonesian, Pakistani or Philippine local boards. On the other hand, it is really interesting that we have much less, almost only a few members with sigban from a local boards with a lot of members like Russian, Italian or Turkish for example. This data really calls for additional analysis, why this is so. I'm personally glad that we do not have any members with sigban from the Croatian local board.

I think you are right about that. Ace can surely do something about board ratings, but I am sure some members won't be happy about it

And which shortcuts do you think are most useful? Give me some ideas and I'll add them in the next update As for evaluating local forums, I'm not sure how to get the necessary data. Or rather, how can we evaluate a board? What data could I use? Your idea seems interesting. But I need to understand what I need to evaluate them, or rather to have BRDb evaluate them.

It doesn't have to be visible when browsing the forum, but it can be shown when I click on BRDB score, in window with more information. I had ideas of adding more shortcuts but I think this would make it more confusing, and I like more simplification if possible. Maybe BRDb score can also be added for boards/topics also, but this adds complexity.

I guess a weighted average of the poster on that board. I guess it would cause a lot of drama, and also be applied to boards other than local boards. Be reaty to a lot of drama there!

Since this ban system was implemented, i already have 2 system to group sigban members based on their local board activity The first method was a userscript, which I used this script to filter users who were sigbanned and active on local Indonesian boards only. I’ve alredy posted the results of the filter in this post. For this version, I had to open bitlist and let the tool run, but this took a long time, and the device need to stay online while processing. Second, offline python scraper, this tools scraped all sigban user data that appears in the Bitlist modlog. This second version uses the Bitlist API to read all of sigban user post history. if local board found (based on the most posts, ex. if user A have 10 posts in Bahasa Indonesia, 5 other language, systme will auto choose Indonesia as his country), it will chosen as their country, results data can be found in this post, if you need to update this sigban with your local boards activity, i can upload it to workers. ps: all tools using AI to coding

Damn, your numbers are much higher than mine since I used only activity in the last 120 days as a criteria whether someone is part of the local board, while you obviously used entire activity since account creation. My logic was that if someone hasn't been active in their local board for that long, then local boards won't be affected much (if at all) by them getting sig banned. Can't believe that so many sig banned members were at at one point active in your local board. I guess many of them were part of that big inactive farm of accounts that also got banned.

Yep, I also didn't expect around 40% of all members who get sigbanned are from my local board. I agree that being inactive on a local board for a long time doesn’t have a major impact, but at the beginning i think after getting sigbanned, some of them might return to the local board just to ask or discuss why they get sigbanned and become more active there. In reality, many of users choose to take a hiatus from forum or reduce their post activity. If this data is accurate, here are the statistics: i will close this discussion here as information, with conclusion most of sigbanned users leave this forum, so an accusation about they are just posting for their campaign quota is real, because without BTC, they are stopped posting.

I can enter the names of the sigbanned users and display them as banned or crossed out if it helps you. I believe board#0 contains deleted posts but I have the metadata for them. When I imported the post titles from loycev, many had already been deleted. So I couldn't get the board where they were written and for convenience I grouped them by board #0 which doesn't exist on Bitcointalk At school they taught me that the "." is to delimit thousands and the "," is to delimit decimals. Unfortunately, it's a professional deformation and it's difficult for me to do otherwise.

Here comes another brief overview of the local board activity, this time for September 2026. All charts and table are made using data from @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard and BitList. Communities marked with * (Pakistan, Bengali) don't have their own local boards yet. Post activity per local board during September 2026In the above mentioned period, 14365 posts were made across local boards, which is a decrease compared to August numbers (15130). Nigerian remained by far the most active board, followed by Russian and Turkish. On the other side of the chart, french is slowly decreasing and its only the matter of the before they end up at the bottom. Active members per local board during September 2026During September 1250 members were active on local boards, which is an decrease compared to month before numbers (1265). I kinda expected it to incrase since summer is over, but maybe these recent sig bans have something to do with it. Local board members per amount of posts during September 2026 When it comes to the percentage of members who wrote only one post in their board during February, leader is French local board with 47%, while at the same time Nigerian had only 10% of such members. At the 2-9 posts bracket leader is again French local with 53% while Croatian board had only 18%. Regarding the 10+ posts bracket, the leader is Pakistan with 64% while French board had no members that wrote 10+ posts during last month. Merit shared per local board during September 2026During September, 5999 merit was shared across 18 local boards that are part of this overview, which is a noticeable drop compared to August number (7218). Vast majority of this drop happened on German local, that went from 1510 merit sent in August to only 482 in September. They are known for these amplitudes and I expect their number to be much different next month. Merit/Post ratio per local board during September 2026An average merit per post ratio for all local boards during September was 0.42 which is an expected drop compared to August 0.48. This time Spanish is at the top with a very high 1.67 merit per post, but Romanian is not that far behind with 1.48. On the other side of the chart French unfortunately keeps decreasing and is at the bottom. Merit senders and receivers per local board during September 2026543 members sent while 588 received merit, which is a small decrease compared to month before (562 senders, 598 receivers). Percentage of merited posts across local boards during September 2026Romanian board remained at the top as usual with an extremely high 70% of merited posts, with everyone else being far behind. Merit per transaction across local boards during September 2026And the last in this series of charts, merit per transaction, that shows meriting habits of local boards. Interestingly, French is at the top here. The most active members per local board during September 2026Last but not the least in this monthly overview, the list of the most active members per local board. klarki and jokers10 from Russian local are at the first two spots, while mandown from Turkish is at the 3rd spot. GG guys!

One point that triggered me this month is: what is happening in the French board? Little participation has been a drag in recent months.

Thank you for another informative overview. It is hard for me to believe we almost finished with this year 2026, with slightly more than two more months left. Here comes another Locals Race update!
Thnx! One point that triggered me this month is: what is happening in the French board? Little participation has been a drag in recent months.
I also wondered the same (I was triggered by French not sending a single merit in April 2026) and Halab jumped in with explanation what actually happened there. Ok, seriously now. Let’s compare the french section to a big family Christmas dinner. There are parents, grandparents, children, uncles, nieces, and cousins. In short, everyone. Some people we love, others not so much. That’s just how it is in a lot of families. At first, everything goes smoothly, everyone is laughing. There are a few jokes that get a bit rough, but in the end everyone is there for Christmas (Bitcoin and cryptos). The meal is in progress, and the alcohol is flowing freely. And that’s when the annoying uncle brings up the topic of… politics. More specifically, the Gilets Jaunes and COVID. And that’s when things start to fall apart. Debates heat up, and groups form. And little by little, some people leave the table and never come back. But the biggest idiots are the ones who stay here. By the end of the dinner, they realize there are only two or three of them left (and they don’t care about Christmas (merits)). They return home, pleased with themselves. For quite some time now, I have decided to stop giving merits on political topics. I’m focusing on Bitcoin and crypto topics in the french section. And what was bound to happen finally happened in April 2026 : 0 merit. That’s a very brief summary from my perspective. Some will say it’s all my fault. But that’s another topic. But May will be much better . Our local board is in standard mid position but it is strange for me to see that I was not in top 10 guys, but luckily there is DesmondHayes to replace me Iirc, this was the first time I see you out of top 10 since I am making these overviews. You know what you have to do.

I'm happy to notice that I am in top three most active posters in our local board, and also it is nice to see new names besides regular top 10 guys I noticed also that there is nice rise of number of posts in Croatian board (in September there were 69 posts more compared to August), which was partially expected as the vacation period is over and people are going back to usual activities.
