Thanks for the help. i'm new, joining in this new world
If you post back here I can teach you how to mine on ckpool very cheaply with that gpu. here is what you do. you open an account with nicehash and mine that gpu to nicehash. It will earn btc not much but it will earn it. Once your nice hash account gets to 0.001 btc or more you rent btc hash from nice hash and point it to ckpool.org I do this with an omen laptop. every 20 days it earns 0.001 btc I then point that to ckpool.org or Laurentiapool.org. Ck created both pools. My cost is under 2 kwatts a day about 25 cents USD So every 20 days I have a chance to hit big. at a low cost of 5 or 6 bucks power. Yes this is what I do too

Is it possible, or the only way to know is when you find a block?

In that link more data appears than the TH, but I would like to know the meaning of the rest of the data. No matter how much I consult YouTube, they don't explain how an Asics works and I have doubts. 1.- Every time a block is mined, all the miners start from 0 to solve the new block? Not because it has been mined longer or because it has more computing power does it have more advantage?

Think of each share as a lottery ticket, and the hashrate as the amount of lines you play each time, the more shares you do, the more you have a chance of matching the numbers. Every 10 minutes or so the lottery starts again

Hey guys. I am trying to get my S9 connected to the solo.ckpool. But it says the network is Dead. I am using port 3333 with my btc address.0 for username. Any suggestion? Do I need to upgrade the firmware on the miner? Or is there a different configuration that I need to adjust?

Did you put the stratum part in front? stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333

Hi guys. Yes the config is set to: stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333
Username is set to my btc_1 and pw as x.
So the mining pools network show Alive for F2pool, Nicehash or Slushpoool.
But for CK POOL, it says dead. I'm not sure what else I need to do here. Same result on the S19 too. But my goal is to just set the S9 with only two hashboards working to solo mining.

Is port 3333 maybe blocked in your network or by the internet service provider?
Have you tried it with port 443? (see -ck's opening post)

Your hashrate is so ridiculously small it will take a week for the pool to even register that you're mining. yes 333mh/s is not high its just 4 fun, but still would be nice to see stats ^^ Wait a week and you might see them. hey guys look at my stats its like i'm solving a block but no hashrate1m": "123T", "hashrate5m": "107T", "hashrate1hr": "105T", "hashrate1d": "103T", "hashrate7d": "49.8T", "lastshare": 1643498525, "workers": 1, "shares": 9547198887, "bestshare": 4464854725348.764, "bestever": 4464854725348, "worker": [ { "workername": "3Dt3YF9tU6YsmApvpHUJDDcCevyPzrmrr4", "hashrate1m": "123T", "hashrate5m": "107T", "hashrate1hr": "105T", "hashrate1d": "103T", "hashrate7d": "49.8T", "lastshare": 1643498525, "shares": 9547198887, "bestshare": 4464854725348.764, "bestever": 4464854725348

Wait a second, now I read your posts once more.
You can't have an underline symbol _ after your btc address. You need to use a dot . as a separating symbol.
Just like ck has explained in the pool basic info.

@Sledge0001 is a celebrity now. Even in local language newspaper, these miner images are there.
Hahaha. Lucky should be my name. I really want to thank everyone on the forum for their support and guidance. Particularly thank you to the following: -CK <-- Your pool has changed my world and wallet balance forever. Kano <-- Your software and guidance was invaluable. SideHack <-- You evil genius your hardware although small was extremely effective. Willi9974 <-- I used the funds won from one of your block parties to buy the hardware 419Mining.com <-- Seller of the Compac F's AsicPuppy.com <-- Seller of the Compac F's I chose to share it was me for a few reasons: 1. Why shouldn't I share my success with others? I'd love to see you all hit. 2. Share the fact that you can still get lucky on the ever growing Bitcoin Blockchain even as a small or in my case micro solo miner. I am hopeful that this brings more small miners into scene. 3. Draw attention to smaller pools. It's a shame there are a few "big" pools out there that dominate most of the mining. 4. Yes I hit on a USB Miner Stick. I had 9 GekkoScience Compac F's (all overclocked) running cgminer on a HP Omen machine (That was also mining ETH at the time) hence the name "The Omen" 5. The 86TH that was seen on my account was mostly rented hashpower from Nicehash that had stopped prior to me finding the block. To be clear no rented hashpower was used to mine this block. 6. My entire USB Mining Farm consists of about 8.2TH - 9.3TH. The Omen had about 3.65TH of that at the time of finding the block. 7. I wanted to share the images of my setup and cgminer to show indisputable proof of what had transpired. (I too would be ultra skeptical if someone told me they hit like this on a USB stick miner). Now because I hit big should I give up now? Nah... I am still mining with ALL my USB Stick miners as you can see here: https://solo.ckpool.org/users/3EoqjNmeaaVvVDCPbVXxQQRH6UFpDUqpPg Again thank you all. Thanks for sharing - it is a great story and inspiration for all solo miners. And thanks for helping me with cgminer 4.1.12 the Kano version. I am using linux (raspberry pi) so I just had to grab his source from GitHub and build it and now its running like a clock.
