Is ckpool only solo, or do we have the capability to merge/pool with others - don't see it. Got 1 machine on solo for now.
I closed the shared pool a couple of years ago due to lack of interest, so only the solo pool exists now. What SoftWare was used? ... We would be happy to open it again on our infrastructure and keep it open. #crysx #cwi

Thanks ... For the prompt responses and answering all my questions. I don't get on BCT often any longer since RealWorld work is the focus currently to back all that is being done here in the CryptoWorld, but I will check in every now and then regardles. Here is its now defunct thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1876330.0Even ZERO fee wasn't enough to attract enough miners to keep it alive. Be happy to run it again if you want to donate the server resources. Once it's up and running it's self-maintaining so requires minimal attention, but be aware there is nothing more depressing than a shared pool with so little hashrate that it never finds a block, and having a handful of dedicated users that desperately try to get other people on board and further hashrate unsuccessfully over and over again.

Would be happy about a positive trust and inclusion in your personal trust list [...]
Bro, let me tell you my observation. Everyone here respects you and appreciates what you are doing, but no matter how much good you have done in the past, such a statement may become a reason or reason for your exclusion from the DT list. Not many forum users understand how the feedback system and the trust system work, so your prizes are kind of inadvertently shifting the paradigm towards common misconceptions about using the trust system. My point of view is that you, as a very trusted member, should become an unobtrusive example for others, in all areas where your interests intersect with the interests of other users.

I know what you mean, but many newbies don't know the system at all and unfortunately in this day and age one always forgets far too often to use the system or simply to award a "merit", hence my discreet reference to the system.
But thanks anyway for your hint

Con ... Was this the OpenSource Code that was releaesed a while back from you? Or a different one altogether? I am more than happy to set aside a VPS in our CWI InfraStructure and run it until such time it doesn't. If it is easy to setup the Pool, it can be done reasonably quickly and I can allocate the resources this week to do so. It is a sad thing to see such good SoftWare run and not be utilized readily, but the longevity of such a Pool should remain, even if the cost of the resources are continual - costs which we are willing to bear at CWI if this SoftWare will see life again. Let's see how it goes - Can't hurt to try can it? I don't think there would be a need to rebadge the SoftWare in any way - maybe just state that it is 'Powered By ChainWorks Industries' as a Label of some sort. Just show me the Git and we can see when we can start it this week. #crysx

This is a forked version of that open source code, yes. The git is listed on that thread, but there it is again: https://bitbucket.org/ckolivas/ckpool-splns/src/splns/Can't hurt to try? WRONG! It hurts to watch a pool flagging and listening to users desperately pleading for hashers.

well, the best on that pool was the payout system (!), so sad that it was closed down. But the solo.ckpool is still up and doing well, wich I am glad of (and having con still here) The main point of running a pool is that the user have to trust you. In con we trust, with an other op, well that will be hard for him to come near that level. # Willi go and get the next one!

@robjos You can see my Avalon 1041 guide for reference. The link is in my signature space.
For pool address you put stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333
For worker name you put your btc wallet address. If you want to separate different miners, you can put yourbtcwalletaddress.avalon1 for example.
For password you put x
