Altcoins are not made up of just the new projects and low level wannabes. There are tons of coins that are actually quite good that you could invest for the long term. There are at least 10 coins that I would say looks ahead for a bright future and those are mainly top 10 coins minus few coins like xrp, bch, bsv and usdt (Which I think is not even an altcoin but a stablecoin).

So, there are still ton of great coins that you could invest into, just not at the low levels. Is the period for investing into something for few dollars and make thousands of dollars is over? Sure, it is definitely over. However, that doesn't mean that you can't profit. You could still profit like 10-20% per year in USD and that is not bad at all specially during this period in our life.

I am involved in the cryptocurrency market but I have no need to shop with cryptocurrency. It is not necessary in my country, almost every day spending is using cash, sometimes via bank transfer. It is a really huge statement, the potential of top altcoin could be greater than bitcoin and you can only speculate but with the case with bitcoin you do not need to speculate as the market will move higher with time and the market is developing at a constant pace and the trading volume is increasing every year.

I might invest in some top alt coins if i feel that they have the potential but rarely you will see some potential coins that would interest my urge to invest.

That's true but there must be an exception when it comes to determining which is a small coin that is worth to invest. In fact, the small coins will be only getting a temporary pump and that's happening so many times.
