Proposal for ambitious Groestl project- Create a groestl-based fork of Elements and Elements Alpha.
These are some of the features that an elements sidechain to Groestl would add:
https://i.imgur.com/LCrus2C.png
- A new "Segwit coins only" multi-wallet that has an exchange allowing atomic swaps across different currency pairs between different people-- i.e. a truly decentralized coin exchange with no middlemen. Currently, this would consist of Groestlcoin and Syscoin.
How this will set Groestlcoin apart:Developers/entrepreneurs interested in testing sidechains on a live chain (rather than a testnet) will be able to easily do so by cloning the Groestl-elements fork we will create. Confidential Transactions on the Groestl-Alpha pegged sidechain. The first ultra-decentralized altcoin exchange with 0% fees. It will include Groestlcoin and Syscoin, followed (hopefully) by Viacoin and Litecoin (and any further Segwit coins that come along). Getting it done:I would like to begin working on this project immediately, donations would help to accelerate things. Any support or feedback would be much appreciated! What Amd drivers do I need to mine Groestl coin? I use 16.9.1 and 15.12. For some reason I can not start mining. I use sgminer5-grs. Should I use an older sgminer version? (I did not mine last 2 years so I have pretty old cards: I mine with 8 x 7950 cards. 1 x r9 280 and 1 x rx480) Or is there something wrong in my .bat or .conf file? This is my bat file (for the 7950 and r9 280 cards): setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 sgminer --kernel groestlcoin -o stratum+tcp://erebor.dwarfpool.com:3345 -u private -p 1 --thread-concurrency 8192 -I 20 --worksize 256 -g 1 --gpu-engine 1100 --gpu-memclock 1500 This is my .conf file (for the 7950 and r9 280 cards) { "pools" : [ { "url" : "stratum+tcp://erebor.dwarfpool.com:3345", "user" : “private”, "pass" : “1” }, { "url" : "stratum+tcp://erebor.dwarfpool.com:3345", "user" : “private”, "pass" : “1” } ], " kernel" : “groestlcoin” "intensity" : “20”, "thread-concurrency" : “8192”, "lookup-gap" : “2", "worksize" : “256", "gpu-engine" : “1100", "gpu-fan" : “0-85”, "gpu-memclock" : “1500”, "gpu-threads" : “2", "gpu-powertune" : “20”, "temp-cutoff" : “83", "temp-overheat" : “80", "temp-target" : “70", " auto-fan" : true, "auto-gpu" : true, "expiry" : "120", "failover-only" : true, "log" : "5", "queue" : "4", "scan-time" : "40", "temp-hysteresis" : "3", "no-submit-stale" : true
What are the values for an rx 480 card btw?

you need to play and tweak these settings: -I 18 -g 1 -w 256 -k groestlcoin --no-submit-stale --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1000Or try a different groestlcoin kernel as there are multiple Groestlcoin kernels included for testing. every card behaves different. Thats the fun of old skool mining.

But every time I put the intensity higher than 9 I get many hw errors and a driver crash. It must be the driver I guess. What driver version do you use?

Proposal for ambitious Groestl project- Create a groestl-based fork of Elements and Elements Alpha.
These are some of the features that an elements sidechain to Groestl would add:

Groestlcoin: Foix566fBaVLGFwd2Jb6Lwwahfq51PYhTE Bitcoin: 1KXh9hhMicfeMn4CsMzZZGKf3XGTVusgWc I must say, I applaud your efforts. That is indeed a very ambitious Groestl project. Is your proposal depending on the donations or will you do it anyway? If you want donations then people would like to see what your qualifications are to create the groestl-based sidechain (do you have a github?). Would love to get milestone reports if possible. Great questions! I will add a section to my original post with this information when I get off work today.

I dont see the difference. I could have made 100x better sub skin within 10x shorter period of time and have gotten more feedback to my thread. Ur problem is that u remade an existing theme instead of making ur own. And ur stole a branded logo design from google. A letter g suggests it has already been used somewhere, perhaps as a google accounts logotype. If u search it u will find it.
