People that really want to dump their coins (for some reason what so every), maybe you can give it to Charity or Donate it. As dumping at 7sats looks like you're not making a profit based on the electricity that you have to use...

srsly a dump on 7 sat? 500.000 coins on 7 sat? is that profit in mining?

When do you break even with mining? like 1 mh? how many coins do you need on 7 sat or on what sat you breakeven with mining>?

I also think that you need to have a lot higher price to run break even... Difficult is still not too bad, it is not that everybody went away or so... we lost the big whales from the first two days, and still a lot of smaller miners are mining.

with the price going down faster than a dead bird, many ppl will just sell to get at least a few btc to cover electricity costs etc. Also a lot of ppl spend money on rigs/hashrate they rented. Noone wants to lose money Smiley

I was going through a list of alts on Bittrex and saw CTZ. Looks interesting with active community. And although the max supply seems a lot and with 1% premine, the price is still enticing. What sets it apart from similar alts?

As owner of the coin let me clarify some stuff Smiley

The maximun supply is 1,000,000,000 (after one year), and it will grow by 44% every year. The pre-mine coins are based on the POW amount, so in fact we have a lot less pre-mine coins then 1% when you compare it with other coins, as they take 1% of all coins, so our pre-mine is infact more close to .5% or even .25%.

The price of a coin is not related to how many coins there are on the market, it all depends on what you can do with your coins. At current levels we will have only a marketcap of $35,000. When you check coinmarketcap and check the coins with a bigger amount then 1,000,000,000 coins then you will find a few (in fact a lot), and a lot of those coins are trading a lot higher then $35,000. What makes Citizencoin different then other altcoins? Good question, i believe the name is already something that you can use during marketing. Am I allowed to pay with Citizencoin sounds a lot better then can i pay with Catcoin for example.

Will Citizencoin trade higher then 100sats? Maybe, maybe not.it all depends a little bit on luck, and taking the right steps when developing a coin. Also a lot depends on the big bag holders, if they are not afraid to spend $50 for the coin in a chance to earn $500 or more then you can achieve something nice.

Because of the limit amount of pre-mine coins and because of the low price we cannot spend a lot of money ourself. You cannot expect DEV to pay for everything, but if community makes sites for free that allow CTZ to be used, or if community is donating to the charity or donation address then this can be used to improve the coin.

If every person donates $10 today as a risk or investment then something can be done, you can start organizing marketing events, etc, but if nobody donates anything then the coin will just stay at current levels, and it makes hard for DEV to invest all by himself.

When you already calculate the number of hours all people that are working behind the scene on Citizencoin then we are working for less then $0.5 per hour. But we believe that the time that we put in CTZ new can result in a marketcap of $500,000 and then that little 1% will give back a little of all the hours/days/weeks/months that we have (or will spend) on the coin.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm going to keep an eye out, (already bought a few for now). And I'm assuming the website and wallet are in development? Are there any donation addresses to this project?

Totally agree with this.... i did a calculation, there was for more the $4,500 spend on electricity on the first day. In total there was maybe a volume of 8BTCs, so there are still a lot of people holding coins. As stated several times, if people thought that Citizen is just a pump and dump coin then they are wrong, and if they checked my profile they already knew this from the start Smiley

What a great person you are.... wondering what that guy is planning to do with his millions of CTZ, there was one guy mining this forever. I hope it is one of those big investors that just want to keep the price low Smiley

One little tip for all of you... Did you check Bluecoin... also 1,000,000,000 coins just hit 60 sats. Bluecoin has no community and we can see we have a nice starting community, so certainly a nice buying opportunity now, and earn some nice coins in the future..

Huh Huh Undecided what language is that?

Im still laughing how every order in the market history has been a relentless dump. Theyre either really smart or really dumb, time will tell.

There is an error in the citizencoin-qt.pro file which forces make to use a very specific version of boost.
Is it so hard to remove from citizencoin-qt.pro file  following lines:
Code:
isEmpty(BOOST_LIB_SUFFIX) {
macx:BOOST_LIB_SUFFIX = -mt
windows:BOOST_LIB_SUFFIX = -mgw44-mt-s-1_53
}
and change:
Code:
BOOST_LIB_SUFFIX=-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53
to:
Code:
BOOST_LIB_SUFFIX=

CTZ:   CdNkr6JqqjNgJpCRZczE9T3SqBiRqYgHXX

It's not a bug. Everyone uses different dependencies. But I will update it if you want.

Thanks! It would be nice!

(It took a hell of a googling to get it compiled  Grin )

Not anymore  Smiley

But most miners are so afraid... they wanna get rid of new (or even every) coins at any price... and who can blame them: there have been so much shitcoins around to get burned... They are "wise" now - mining every new X11 PoS coin to dump in losses  Huh

Then we will prove that we are the new darkcoin Smiley Some coins are moving here, not a lot the last few days/weeks/months. But maybe, you never know, in fact remove the maybe, i'm 100% that a few coins will be a lot higher next year, the question is, will Citizencoin be one of them... at least i hope it will...as i'm trying to do whatever i can....

We are making some good progress on the website...
