in my opinion, everything depends on each other's thoughts, and I myself have a thought that when investing in coins / tokens I have 2 choices for long or short term investments, where if for the long term I will choose coins / tokens that are indeed long (in meaning the price is certain if the fall is not too drastic and also rises significantly too) this allows reducing the level of loss. and if for short-term investments and for example you want to play new coins / tokens, I think we must be really good at seeing the ins and outs of the tokens and should be able to see whether in the future these tokens will be profitable.
