It is always risky to invest in crypto coins. Not only for new coins, old coins or top coins also have risks in investment. But the risk can be varied or have different levels. Investing in top or old coins can have smaller risks because most of them are already proven for many years to exist in crypto market. They are also owned by established projects that have good funding and experience in crypto space. While for new coins, we don't know how good the coins to survive and develop in crypto market since they are just launched. It should take some time to show us how the potential of those coins in the future. That's why we need to be more selective to buy new coins. Some of them can survive and grow well, but some can be delisted and be dead coins in the future.

The risk of old coins in a market that already has large trades as well as a strong market is market correction and volatility. when you can master yourself in good investment planning, I believe the risk of old coins will disappear.
but for coins from new projects and even recently traded on the market. most of the hype happens very quickly and then the correction is also very strong. Unfortunately, some new projects are not ready to be corrected, because the market is not yet strong and will be a test for projects to rise or sink.

No coin will perform the same in cryptocurrency.  A new coin may be listed and it will do well for a while. Another coin may be listed and it will dump from the very beginning.  There are reasons and metrics for these two outcome.  If a coin is fairly distributed and has no vesting supply with the team or whale,  such coin will be sustainable and increase in value over time provided that such coin is been develop!

But what you can see at this time is that traders and investors have started to benefit because of the increase in the cryptocurrency market, take a look at the current market that has started to turn green and this is a sign that some coins and new altcoins have been pumping again promotion in the past.

Many of the new cryptocurrency was makes a good pump in their stating days and after they dump in a very dramatic way. This cause a big loss to the investors and the trust in these types to new coins and tokens was finished. So, the main question is that Is it risky to invest in new crypto coins/tokens? or it is good for a very certain time of investment?

I think all altcoins come with their respective risks. either investing in new altcoins or investing in old altcoins. but the new altcoins have a bigger risk than the old altcoins because the old altcoins have a lot of trust from every user. so that it makes the old altcoins better than new altcoins for us to invest in. especially for long term investment.

You mean ICOs? Yes, too risky in my opinion. Not worth the risk. Bad risk/reward ratio.

Investing ICO always have followed a great risk because we dont know if the project will put in the market and succeed, but the more risk the more opportunity to be more profitable as we know that buying in an ICO comes at lowest price. Just be observant on selecting ICO and the more chances of getting rich.

Crypto in general is risky. This covers up from new coin and tokens that already in the CMC. Also from Major Crypto and also on Tokens that still on ICO.
The thing is the market is its unpredictable, moreover a lot of factors could affect a bearish/bullish market.

Sometimes even doing the research is not a guarantee that the project is going well, I have seen many good projects even on excellent exchanges but they do not have economic investors pushing the project!

Big risk with big return. I think it can be found in new projects. but we have to identify it with special skills. even though it is risky, I see many people who have succeeded in investing in new coins, even though the capitalization is relatively low, but once again must be able to analyze it carefully

Cryptocurrencies always have got more risk, and we can expect those risks with the new cryptocurrencies/tokens. Recently tried to invest on a new project, but I wasn't able to make the buying. Later when the tokens got listed to the exchanges, saw the price reach $1 from the presale price of $0.04 and after a months time the price has come down to $0.07

This is the risk with new cryptocurrencies/tokens. Risk is always a factor on investment, but using it at the right occasion always gets you the profit.
