I'm a Barcelona fan and I didn't have Barcelona to win in the pool, probably the most hurtful point I've lost all season long the pool and the only reason why I probably didn't have Barcelona to win was because I made my picks about 2 weeks ago (for 3 weeks in advance) but never got a chance to review it before the game week started which is what I often do.

There were just so many low scoring games in the week, and it's probably the worse week there have been averagly in the pool right ? Yellow cap with just 9 points (I had just 3).

I am so sick of sports papers these days, everybody is piling shit on Real today after praising them until yesterday. Yeah, they were terrible, yes Ancelotti made few bad decisions, especially with playing Modric as false 9 but still this is a team that is first in La Liga (12 points over Barca) and they just dropped PSG from CL. Who can ask for more?

I remember a few games ago when Messi was still in El Clasico and it was also discussed why Hazard wouldn't even start even though he could be half fit and the commentator said it was something about his mentality that wasn't suitable etc. I didn't get it also.

Oh and it's so stupid about the Real drama even on this forum. The La Liga thread as usual is majority of users just recycling comments they read, all going on and on and on about Real being shit etc.

Real playing in Vigo, which could be a break, and Valencia against Cadiz at home, Atletico against Alaves, should be a home win

yeah we're gonna have some really good games this weekend. Lol trust me sometimes I can go to page 3 or 4 and still not find one of these pools, I usually have it in history browser for the day but next day my work wipes everything out. And then I can forget about some of the many threads;)

I hope you're right about Barca and of course nothing should suggest this will be different but Sevilla will see this as an opportunity. Does anyone else think Real could lose to Celta? Odds is less than 5x for Celta!

So I know I've been saying it in La Liga threads and with my friends, I'm not expecting Barca to win.

Barcelona will definitely achieve the la liga champion title in this season.  Based on their previous performance in this tournament, showed that Barcelona are capable to defeat all the strong teams in this tournament to win the title and to bring back the team as the king among other teams in la Liga league . If Barcelona can defeated real Madrid which is among the strong team in this tournament, I believe Sevilla team cannot stop Barcelona in their next match not to achieve their points because Barcelona are well prepared to win the champion title in this season.

Yeah, asking Barca to win everything left itself is a huge ask. Would actually be a big bet I would take it there was such an offering. Real does seem to have taken a battering from bookies but that makes them good to put on accas, and they are on my ticket today.

Aspas and co to win would have normally been my take but odds just not good enough.

last pen is debatable, but yeah, pretty weird to see three pens nowadays with VAR... as weird as seeing a team with 12 players on the pitch (Bayern munich today  )

So I did overestimate Real, actually, even if they did win, thought they'd do so comfortably. Also didn't watch the match but every non-Spanish report I can find seems to say they were either lucky to win, or didn't deserve to get even a point. Lovely, and a shame I had them on ticket but other teams didn't secure legs.

Still looking forward to final game tonight, got points in pool but too many goals for me to even get close haha, Barca HT lead is the leg I need to sleep with a smile.

shit, I needed Luis Maximiano to keep a clean sheet, but Granada defense is obviously worst than you can have

Actually I set an alarm for me to wake up and try catch a little bit of the game but came home way too tired to even hear the alarm. I think one day I will move to a country 3 or 4 hours before me so I can watch all these games!

I liked how Barca supporters welcomed Rakitić, he played for them many years and he went away during covid restrictions so this was first time supporter had a chance to say good by to him. Too bad Pedri was not playing then so he had no respect and sold him a world class fake before doing another one and then scoring a goal

I imagine how much pain to watch European football if you're Asia. I experience similar things when I try to watch events hel in America or Asia. Offcourse, you can watch replay, but then you have to avoid spoilers somehow and it still don't give same emotions as live game.

Replays are very hard to find unless it is a big game, and usually they play it on a very bad time anyway either afternoon or night, when there is something else on) but it's really not the same if you already know the result and impossible to not know lol I try sometimes but it never works. Social media and phone just have a way of telling you!

But strangely for me I actually used to not mind staying up late to watch football. The real problem now is my work shift which changes week to week and I actually start work around now to end of shift, which is just around midnight my time. By the time I get home, there could be some games but I am too tired to stay up OR my shift starts very late and around the times games play.

Either way my sleep is so screwed in past years. And none of it to football benefit

Ah I really miss these moments because I can't watch the games so no idea this happened, that's very good of them, but Barca can be a classy crowd (if you forget pig heads thrown lol).

^ On the rise, Barca, on the rise, and yes, I lost bets on them last night, yes they should've won, but pretty pleased with the actual performance of the guys on the pitch (except for killer finishing) but this was unfamiliar territory for most of them, against a fast and physical German style of Red Bull football. I think they learnt enough  to play proper at home.

I am thinking time has come for Sevilla to stop spilling points and get back to winning ways. They lost way too much points in recent weeks and if they continue in this fashion they will soon loose any chance to qualify for CL. Remeber when they had a niche bag of points in reserve on second place? Now they are at same points as Atletico and Barca. I am thinking they already lost the race as some of us predicted they will but surely they have to at least try to fight it out.
