That's another huge sponsorship on the ground from Sportsbets.io! I think the "Gambling" board should be named after Sportsbets.io  , they're the one making these football league competition pools and board at large mostly worth the while during the season, big thanks to the them and to you Trofo too, for being able to secure the sponsorship deal for both La Liga and Serie A, the entry is very fair and I'd expect/hope we get more participants this time around.

Are we still banning CasperBGD as per last season consensus, or should we settle for a 20 points deduction from his total points tally at the end of the season   ?

I think changing the name depends on the management, if he dares to change his name to something like that then it can be partly one of the best choices because it can show sponsors who have donated a lot of money, while punishing them by banning them from participating in matches then it will leave them very far behind, but if it's just a 20 point deduction in my opinion it's a light punishment. because they can still chase points when they get a win.

I would agree with all community decisions, it will be hard to win fourth in a row, and this would be great excuse for not winning it when season is finished

Nah, he is real person, he played Premier League Fantasy with me last season and finished last out of 40 or maybe even 50 participants 

So it is just a matter of Spanish league for casperBGD. You know how they say, it is easier to come to the first position then to stay on it. This year we are all gunning for you.

You have to play all the pools, otherwise we will not consider you cool kid any more A little bit of peer pressure to boost our number always comes handy.

When I see posts like that one you quoted I regret the decision to not make the topic self moderated. Thankfully those posts are very rare in our pools and I just sow that I am missing usual "don't post if you are not playing" sentence in OP. Will add it in the next edit or when the pool actually starts. If we are going by the book almost nobody paid yet so ....

Fantasy really looked awesome tbh, it's just only problematic if you don't really have time to check for injury (other things to look at of course but that seems to be the problem for me to find out). IIRC it keeps putting some people at 50% risk when they actually played.

I want to say I'd join Bundesliga and even Ligue 1 but I fear I'll be just giving free money away there. Games are all right to watch, though.

yeah, basically fantasy requires much more insight and time, to play it properly, but also requires to be aligned with what others think, and to get players that are usually good, not one time wonders

my basic mistake was to put Vardy for captain, and Auba as second striker, they were nowhere to be seen throughout season, and picking Salah was just to obvious, and had to avoid it, this season I plan to do that a bit different and to change players between rounds

is there French pool as well? one too many, I am afraid, we have low number of people for that number of pools

Fantasy is all about points gained per million of cost for majority of the team. And then you simply must have players like Salah or TAA, otherwise you will get so far behind that there is no point in playing. Salah is captain option almost every week and everybody will give him the band, you cant afford to miss on those points.

Anyway we now have Fantasy pool as well, so I expect at least 2 of you to sign up there as well.

Ya just kidding of course I will play as many as I can, at the very least to keep playing what I already do. I know I gamble it all away anyway in a day if I don't use it to play these pools. Feels really dumb not to play something with chances to win every week for a whole season!

^^ Re fantasy, exactly right. It is about juggling optimum points. Salah was auto captain for me even when I was not playing and I managed to end up high on the SB pool for weeks -- you have to identify players like that early on and pay the cost, knowing everyone has them, just to keep up. Always fit, guaranteed starter, king of goals and assists, seldom gets carded. Can't afford not to have him.

I'd probably risk picking a new buy, but avoiding most of them. And then picking a form team from bottom half for defence.

I'm going to have to disappoint you for Fantasy though, I just don't have the time to even half-ass my picks for Fantasy and while I don't mind supporting a pool I feel like joining it and then dropping out is probably worse =p

Looks like pool would be more like a full time weekends jobs for me this season, as they're tons of it, and it should be all really interesting. All things be equal, I should be to join all by this weekend.

I strongly doubt Morvillz7z would join la liga pool, as it doesn't find much interest in it, same with me tbh, I'm always joining because I'll always follow the league as a Barcelona fan, but the lower teams fixture really doesn't provide much interest like those of Serie A, because I'd literally rather watch a match like Sassuolo vs Empoli, than watch Sevilla vs Càdiz or a match like Getafe vs Espanyol.

I am not worried for them, they are a bit lazy with leagues other then PL, but they always come true about 10 days before leagues start. Sometimes even sooner. It will seem long time this time around since I started the pools a bit earlier then usual to hopefully get more participants. Not expecting it though since we have so many pools this season and it is difficult to chose and difficult to pay entries to all of them at the same time.

I'm up to my ears in fantasy sports, especially fantasy football (NFL), i will be playing in 4 or 5 paid leagues this season and it takes pretty much all the free time that i have. I just can't make enough space for all the pools available here, add to that i don't follow La Liga closely, hell i haven't even watched El Clasico the last few editions. I don't want to participate in pools i won't be able to play competitively and fight for the top spots.

I would also like to participate in the Spanish pool, but I am afraid that I will not remember some of the pools that I participated in  of them this season I have great memories of last season where I won many tickets to LaLiga matches.
