I still find it strange there is so little interest in a league that used to have the two GOATs of football.

Come to think of it yeah, I don't really know anyone in this forum from Spain or Spanish speaking countries, just mainly other West Europeans and Asians who can speak English. Maybe it's just a language thing? Huge La Liga following in Asia, of course, nothing like EPL but it was mainly Barca and Real responsible for that here.

This is all well and good, but don't you think this is a conflict of interest? Even if everything is as you say, PSG token should serve a completely different purpose ... this token should theoretically be available only to football fans, since by possessing it, users get the right to vote, thereby influencing the decisions of the club leadership.

You can join anytime plenty of time left as Trofo sad the deadline is going to be the first of October.
Just make sure you make a Superbru account and make some predictions sp you don't lose on some potential points as tomorrow there will be a match Valencia vs Getafe.

Hey guys I just realized that La Liga starts in 3 days. Has that been changed? I am sure it was supposed to start on the same day as Serie A, whole week later. If you plan to join, hurry up. If you are undecided or collecting money put your results in Superbru and you can join latter on. You will have all the points you earned. I'll allow late registrations up to 01.10.2021.

agree on this, but there are few things to consider
even now, best players have the right to veto some decision, it is just that this is not explicable, it is "non-written" possibility that best players have, or they will leave the club in the end

nevertheless, even now big stakeholders have the right to veto all decisions, and great players should have more insight in club functioning than some "financier" from outside

just thinking that Messi is not "one of the players", others that match-up that category will receive less tokens, and will not have veto possibility
it would be a conflict of interest if Messi puts "diamond hands" on his $PSG stack, and then leave to be in Barcelona board (which should be his role after finishing career)

Valencia opened season with not an easy win against former team of new Valencia coach Bordalas - Getafe. Valencia got very early red  card on 3th minute after brutal foul of Guillamon. But just few minutes later they responded with a goal and result haven't changed until the end.
 I see that Valencia promote their Fan Token on shirt - seems it's new trend in football. In La Liga, Barca, Atletico and Levante have their fan tokens too.

Indeed we are underway for the new season, and it's more worth playing all through the 38 weeks even if one should drop out of the prize winning zones before the end of the season.

Perhaps I'll do much better this season since I won't be so expectant of Barcelona and Real Madrid, However what are the chances of Atletico Madrid winning La Liga in 2 consecutive seasons ?

I watched parts of the game yesterday and Getafe was much better team. They missed couple of great chances and Valencia keeper had some world class saves. Fair result would have been a win for Getafe but I really can't believe how they were unable to score at least one goal.

Of course, as you said, Valencia was a man down for most of the match so this may not be realistic showing of teams value.

Good start for my pool. Didn't make the exact score but I thought it was dangerous to back Valencia, given how often they let us down last season. Terrible way to lose a player for your start, but I guess 3 points against Getafe is worth it for them.

Tempted to bet against Real Madrid tonight, but I'm going to wait for my other bets to pan out first.

it was a record breaking red card for Valencia, he did not last for one minute to get red card
not sure that it is a fastest red card in history, but in La Liga season for sure, since that was first match in the season

nevertheless, this could be a good season for VCF, since we won a match when nothing came out well for us, last season we will lost so many points when we played good football

Yeah, odds aren't pretty either so I'm still dragging my feet. Have just about broke even in EPL action. Lost almost all the underdogs so far, but have got unexpected luck on matches I wasn't even watching. Two big parlay losses evened out by a Chelsea to win both halves (2/1 I thought it was good value) and even Watford to win (35/10) so I'm pleased to be home and dry, I'll just sit out betting on tonight. Maybe a BB on Barca tomorrow though!

It's Real Madrid game to lose now, they've scored 3 goals in less than 20 minutes into 2nd Half, and you're literally right, It was 2 goals from Benzema, there surely no way back now. Real Madrid is the last game from my 5-game parlay.

EDIT: Alaves have pulled one back from the penalty spot, I still don't expect any further drama, though.

Did not watch the game but if Hazard and Bale are showing signs of life and they manage to get close to their top form - Real will be very good this season. I expected Alaba to fir right in Real squad, Modric and Benzema are producing the goods almost every game for last couple of seasons so no reason to stop now

I think both Hazzard and Bale are feeling more ok with Ancelotti as coach even if Zidane is the best in the world right now and I think he patiently waits to take over national squad of France. This year might be one of the craziest in LaLiga in the last years as I see Real favorite followed by ATL.Madrid , Barcelona, Sevilla and Valencia top run after this 4.

Tomorrow looks like a day with goals but I feel a surprise might happen in one of the games...

Yeah, Real doing business as usual, am surprised they got off to such a quick start though but the Benz indeed has been in a rich vein of form and he'll be insistent on carrying this entire season on his shoulders.

@toma I have a feeling we'll be seeing very few clean sheets in La Liga in early games! Everyone's been focusing on attack;) Barca should score a couple, but I can't guarantee they'll not let in a few either!
