Currently both teams are performing very impressively and it seems that they will both be contenders for the Ligue 1 title this season. PSG performed well even though they no longer have Mbappe in their squad. It is a little different from the previous season where they always gave the ball to Mbappe. But it must be admitted that Mbappe is a great finisher and giving the ball to him is the right decision. And it seems that I see PSG playing more solidly and more dynamically as a team.

It is now obvious that Mbappe is not PSG like we thought because before he left, people were scared that PSG would fall. Now it is looking like his exit does not make much of a difference in the club as they still continue to win their matches and are at the top of the league table. PSG's players continue to dominate Ligue 1. The team played well in today's match as well. And in the end, PSG won by a big margin of 3-1. Although I thought PSG will win this match by a narrow margin. As they are going to face Arsenal in the Champions League match a few days later, the team will play very carefully in this match, I thought. I loved the fact that against Rennes PSG was able to get a good number of goal and also won the games decently amidst all of the doubts some persons did have about their ability and their chances of been able to win the game, progressively PSG isn't loosing their grip over the Ligue 1 just yet as they still have the strong possessive force in the league and are even able to keep that top position long enough since the beginning of the season. in this game, both statistically and from the score line, PSG remained dominants which showed the authority they have gotten in the league even in the midst of some doubts, I'm beginning to have the believe that eventually PSG could end up winning the league title again this season as they have been able to show how much of strength and form they still have over other Ligue one teams this season who wants to contend unlike last season that at some point it did looked like they had good contenders.

I made a live bet in the last minutes of the Psg - Rennes match. 7 minutes of extra time came. Rennes is trying to score a goal due to the score of 3-1, but PSG does not go forward. He turns the top. PSG managed to win easily, and the additional three points confirmed their position at the top of the Ligue 1 standings. The victory is certainly valuable capital for PSG, because next they will face Arsenal in the Champions League. Personally, I still believe PSG will be able to maintain their dominance in domestic competition, although this season Marseille looks quite serious about pressing PSG in the standings. I think that kind of pressure is very much needed, to make Ligue 1 more competitive and interesting to follow.

Meanwhile, in the Champions League, PSG were very lucky to beat Girona, but that luck seems like it will be difficult to recreate if they don't play better. Arsenal are currently quite tough, they were even able to provide fierce resistance to Man City in the Premier League. I think PSG will have difficulty beating Arsenal at the Emirates, in fact I tend to think PSG will lose points. We'll see if Enrique can lead his squad to victory, which is clear without Mbappe victory is difficult to achieve in the Champions League.

It was PSG's home game, and seriously, I was not having any doubt about PSG winning the match. I knew that PSG wouldn't give Rennes any opportunity to either win or draw. However, the truth is that I was expecting more goals from PSG than just these three, because I felt that Rennes underperformed. In this game, both teams really played well. Rennes even performed better than I expected, as I didn't anticipate them creating up to five chances. In fact, they were even able to score a goal. As champions, PSG's next match is around the corner against Arsenal. I believe PSG will use the few days they have to prepare for the match because Arsenal will be very tough opponent for them.

A good gambling night for me as PSG just delivered over 3.5 in their match against Rennes. I think PSG will win the French title this season even though many people doubted that following the departure of Kylan Mbappe to Real Madrid.
