I've noticed this too about big clubs being unable to shine outside of their domestic leagues and I feel maybe they get so comfortable building themselves to be able to beat the opponents in their league that they forget  that there are other competitions they need to feature in. Well it's always been like that for PSG; they rarely make it to semi's and we've not gotten there yet but their performance is already lagging.

This is not applicable to teams like Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich of last season, the teams I mentioned has been doing very great both in the domestic league and the champions league competition but teams like PSG and Arsenal has been struggling to do very well in the champions league but they are better in the domestic league where they have had good results. PSG has dominated the Ligue1 for a long time but they have been so unlucky in the champions League competition because they are yet to win it for a long time even when they had good number of players in the team.

This season, PSG will find it difficult to get to the quarter finals following the squad in the team, they were defeated by Arsenal in their last champions league competition game this shows that the team is only show of winning the domestic league this season but for the champions league competition i doubt if they csn get to the semis.

Marseille got me surprised actually as i literally expected more of them and so that performance for me was way below expectations. They had an opponent i wouldn't see as an equal to them considering their form and strength this season and the depth of their squad this season as well as their performance this season, even if it was a victory with a slim edge probably by a goal wouldn't have been seen any less but a draw even if it doesn't happen o be goalless isn't one we should see as really encouraging and to think that they did played so well in that game and their opponent wasn't dominant as they were in that game, I'm believing they will be doing better they have still got some more time before the season goes far.

The outcome of the game took a different slide with both sides sharing points. The early red card's in the 26th and 30th minutes of the first half time wasn't what we all had expected which inadvertently really affected the game result. Returning to the second half It didn't took El Melali   much time to level the game for his side Angers to 1:1  after Rowe J. goal which gave Marseille the earlier lead.

This would be the second game to which Marseille is dropping point after their 1 nil defeat they suffered away against Strasbourg. The standings now leaves Marseille in 3rd position n the Ligue1 table with 14 points, 2 points behind  PSG and Monaco who are at the moment holding the 1st & 2nd position's respectively.

The game ended in a draw, I wanted to bet on this game, I thought about betting on Marseille to win, I analyzed the performance of both teams so I put Marseille in my multibet bet, but I didn't get to put any money, I left and then when I came back I thought: I'm going to analyze the performance of both teams again that's when I realized that Angers played against Strasbourg and drew in a game in which they only conceded 1 goal and the same Strasbourg played against Marseille and won. So for me it was already very clear that I shouldn't bet on Marseille to win. That's why I didn't bet on that game and I see that I made a good decision.

This is quite a disappointing result for Marseille because they had to draw at their home ground against a team that is actually far below them. They actually got the momentum when Angers received a red card, but not long after that they also had to play with 10 men. I think they can still win, because there is no reason why they can't win because on paper they are much better.
But that's how football works, no matter which team, no matter what the difference in strength, when a team has to draw then that's what will happen. It's quite unfortunate that Marseille couldn't secure full points this week.

Marseille beat strong teams like Augsburg, Lyon, Nice, Toulouse all with good goals. You can't call it weak considering the match where the match was a draw.  But matches sometimes end in draws and that doesn't mean they are weak.  Marseille could have won this match, but you can also see that the opposing team also came to play, surely they are weak or strong and their pressure was also there due to which the match was drawn.  If you think about it, this match is a draw rather than a loss for Marseille.  Marseille will continue to win matches.  If Marseille never won, why did they lose once again in these few matches?

This match seems a bit funny, Angers who got a red card in the 26th minute should have been an advantage for the home team. In fact, the opposite happened, Neal Maupay got a second yellow card which eventually had to leave the field because the referee issued a red card. had taken the lead first in the 51st minute, not long after 3 minutes later the away team was able to equalize. Although Marseille dominated the course of the match, the team coached by De Zerbi's squad was no longer able to defeat their opponent. I don't believe this final result, it seems like there is a problem being faced by de zerbi's troops after previously starting the season very well but in the last two matches there was a decline in performance, and in the match against Angers today it should be easy to get 3 points considering that Angers is a weak team that is at the bottom of the standings and marseille is playing at home, even marseille was only able to score a goal in the second half but unfortunately the narrow advantage was equalized by Angers, Is this a sign that marseille will not be strong enough to compete with PSG? because initially I hoped they would put pressure on and be able to destroy PSG's dominance.
