Lens were also this incredible in the 2022/23 season where they finished the season with just one point behind eventual winners Paris Saint Germaine. This season, they seem to mean business more than they've ever been and are targeting a place better than they finished in the 2022/23 season but looking at the reality on ground, I doubt that they'll be able to achieve their aim.

I think that Lens, although an excellent team, is necessarily not ready to win against this Paris Saint-Germain, which is currently one of the best teams in Europe and this year will try to win the Champions League competition again. In a direct clash, they have no chance in my opinion.

Lens has a good season right now and overall they weren't that bad in the last seasons too. They finished in the first half of the table and were a quite hard opponent.
Lens played yesterday against Toulouse and they won easily by three goals after totally dominating the game. The points difference isn't that big between them and Paris Saint-Germain so they should be careful. Otherwise yeah PSG is still the favourite team to win the league even if they are second and look weaker than usual.

Maybe normally one could say that red card was a big help for Lens to win comfortably. But honestly the first 20 minutes were already under control of Lens you know.

The red card was just like a gift for them to finish it nicely.    They are going to finish another week as the leader after this win.

Indeed, PSG are still favourites. Everyone knows that. But Lens seem to be promising to finish at a competitive position as well.

I think Lens is a great team but I don't know if they will succeed in winning the championship, it would be wonderful and super romantic if a team like that could win the tournament, it is clearly a fundamental thing for the development of French football, but I don't think it is possible for now at least

It is clear that Lens is doing much better than Marseille and Monaco in general, and that is weird to see. Marseille and Monaco spend a lot more money and yet they are not getting the results that they want or desire, whereas Lens spends a lot less and yet they are good at building a squad that can put up a challenge.

Once again, Lens could finish lower than PSG this season, which is expected and wouldn't be a failure on behalf of Lens, after all PSG is so rich and such a big club, but even being close and finishing second would be a great deal for them. We have to remember that things are not as troublesome for Lens if they finish second, they are still making a ton of money and can retry again later another season.

Yes, many people no longer want Paris Saint-Germain to win the championship. However, whether we want it or not doesn't matter. Football is a game played on the pitch, and usually, teams with greater financial resources and quality squads win. Lens is fighting very well and won 0-3 yesterday. Winning away was very significant, and they are still leading in France. I hope this continues until the end of the season and we see them win the championship, but even if that doesn't happen, I think they've already put on a memorable performance.

Before any team in the French ligue 1 should be thinking about dethroning PSG when it comes to the title race such a team must first of all be ready to spend the way that, PSG is doing this is the only way through which PSG dominance on this league can be broken. You don't just wish for a thing and it comes to pass taking responsibility is key and very important.


Over there years PSG is one of the biggest spenders not just in French but in the whole of Europe. I doubt if the combine spending of the top four teams excluding PSG in this French ligue can even equal that, of PSG.

Monaco 1 - 3 Lyon.

Monaco again had to experience defeat in league 1, which was quite unfortunate because at the beginning of the season they showed good performance but see now they are quite slumped and slowly descending the ladder. It seems that there are problems that cannot be resolved quickly from the squad, maybe with the addition of new strength in the January market they can bounce back because there are still opportunities for them to compete in the top 4.

Lens are performing better this season so it is our opinion that they are putting Paris Saint-Germain in a more difficult situation because we have already seen that this lens team has taken the top spot. This could literally cause PSG to lose UCL. Not even joking, Lens finishing the first half as leaders in the league, could make PSG end up losing UCL this season. You may ask, how does Ligue 1, depends on UCL so much? Well simple, if PSG was leading by a lot of points, they could rest people and do rotations and that way everyone would be more fit and not have fatigue, but now they have to play everyone to take the leader position, and that means players will be more tired and that will cause UCL games to be harder wins.

It's good that a club like Lens is giving Paris Saint Germain heat on the Ligue 1 title but i don't see them winning the title Paris Saint Germain will always do, currently the point gap between this two club is 4 if Paris Saint Germain wins Paris FC tomorrow which i know they will the point gap will only be 1 which i don't see as a problem for Paris Saint Germain to over take, i know that people are tired with the way Paris Saint Germain is winning the title and i don't see Lens as a club that can stop them, the season is far and i believe Paris Saint Germain will be crown champions of the Ligue 1 before the end of the season.

We can see it from their ranking in Ligue 1. Monaco is in 9th place, and their ranking has been dropping every week. After their defeat to Lyon, Lyon became even more determined to beat Monaco in that match. Lyon could create 3 goals.

But what is more surprising is that out of 12 shots, there were 10 shots on target, dangerous shots that were crucial for Lyon, until finally 3 were goals.

Gradually Lens is becoming a big threat to PSG in the league I bet no one saw it coming this season but here they are still dominating the league despite people not believing in their ability to get to the end of the league with their good performance but watching how they are gradually becoming a team of concentration shows that they have more surprises which may not be believed until they get to the end of the season. PSG needs to act very fast and make sure they are not dropping any more points because a little poor performance by PSG will help  the lens team to get more comfortable while they continue winning their games.

Lens struggle and hard work are at present 4 points ahead of PSG and Lens is making itself good during each match because of which it is a hard leader. PSG is also playing hard with its full play and attempts to make Lens fail in it but the rivalry between the two is going to be very tough and we can observe the Lens strength in each match through this performance and we can see that the lens team is not going to miss the score in the match. Consequently PSG error is a gain to Lens and Lens error is a gain to PSG hence Lens should visit some strong place and take rest. At this moment, they need to take a step towards work and prosperity. This is required of them and their subsequent matches are very crucial to them otherwise there will be very uncomfortable places between the two.

Lens is in incredible form this season. They have been able to continue  their winning streak for a long time and the top spot of the table is also occupied by Lens. After losing the top spot of the table, psg  has continued its winning streak. But even then , they are not getting a chance to regain the top spot. Lens's attack and defense are both strong this season. And  the players are very confident. As a result, they  are able to perform well consistently. Lens has scored 13 goals in  17 matches and conceded only 13 goals. On the other hand, PSG has conceded  14 goals in 16  matches. Lens has made it  difficult for psg  to win the ligue 1 title this time.

PSG’s performance in Ligue 1 this season is somewhat not pleasing, it’s really surprising to see Lens at the top of the league against PSG. Seems like the Ligue 1 is more competitive this season. Hope PSG get back to their best performance, the squad is getting more stronger with some of their player back from injury.

In the Champions League, PSG might still have a chance, but given the tight competition this season, their chances of winning again could be very difficult. However, in Ligue 1, I personally have no doubts about PSG, as their performances haven't been particularly bad so far. Lens could easily overtake them in the Ligue 1 standings this season. Even if Lens tries to perform well, when they meet PSG again, it's their chance to be the best by winning the match and returning to the top of the Ligue 1 standings.

Marseille showed a terrible performance against Nantes. First Vermeeren received a red card in the 26th minute and in the 56th minute Nadir became Marseille's second player to be sent off. with a two-man advantage Nantes had no trouble to win the match 2-0. for Nantes it's very important victory as they try to leave the relegation zone.

I don't think Lens is capable of countering PSG in the league, let's say that they have had a lot of luck so far, certainly they are a very good team and the score and results do not lie but currently PSG has a much stronger and more incisive squad that can allow them to win very easily against them
